This is our second on first brought 4years ago, other would have still been working if it wasn’t broken my son
Prefect to give a decorative design in any colour with various combinations to choose from mixing white, blue, red, green either a combination of 2,3 or 4 lights at once
Not keen on the flashing mode it’s a bit too quick
Very quiet when in use
Lasts all night long with a 995minute timer
I use rechargeable batteries because I found the only downside was used quite alot of electricity over night ( please note doesn’t charge batteries even if plugged in!) Son now 5yrs and doesn’t go to sleep without it
We’ve tried night lights alongside this but this is always number 1 choice
Fantastic as a projector, my baby loves watching this from her cot in the morning and it gives me 10 extra minutes before getting her up. I like that it has so many colour options and combinations. The cap also means it’s handy as a lamp for bedtime, as we don’t currently have another lamp in her room.
I’ve taken it when we stay away from home for more than a few nights and it travels well, I just wrap it in blankets so it doesn’t smash. The plastic is quite thick. Very happy with it.
Bought one for my nephew 3/4 years ago, and it is still working fine and loved both nephew and sibling. Recently bought another one for my niece, who absolutely loves it – although upon opening and set up, thinks it more for parties than sleeping 😀
We got this for our granddaughters bedroom and was surprised how much of the room it lit up! She absolutely loves it and goes to sleep with it on every night. The timer is very handy, as it can be set to turn off after a while automatically, saving you tiptoeing into the room lol.
Wasn’t expecting much for the price to be honest but this lamp is great!!! You can have it as a little night light or the projector which covers the ceiling completely! I set it on a timer with just the blue lights as you can also select the single or multi colours and it settles my daughter right off to sleep. Functions were hard to figure out at first but once you know how to use it it’s easy. This lamp is a real bargain and a great addition to a child’s room.
My two little ones love this watching the stars and moon go around. The timer on it is a definite bonus feature. Only downside is it sound rather noisy with a motor whirring noise- when you have it on spinning around mode. But I think the kids actually like that sound now too!!!
I got this for my 4 month old as, like all babies, she is fascinated by lights. We tend to use it before bedtime as its nice and relaxing. I have given it 5 stars as its easy to use (once you figure out all the buttons), and its brighter than I thought it would be for the price, and projects really well across the ceiling. I have also found it amazing to help calm her down when she’s upset or is overtired and for that, its worth it weight in gold!
Absolutely love this night light. I use this every evening to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere in my bedroom. The light has multiple settings including a variety of colours. This can be used as both a projector and an ordinary desktop nightlight. It also has a cord so that it can be hung up, too. As well as multiple colour settings, the stars can also be set to rotate, flash, or stay still. The best thing about this night light is it’s sleep timer. You can set it to turn itself off after a certain time limit (anywhere from 5 mins to about 16 hours), meaning you can fall asleep with it on. It can be powered by both mains electricity or battery, meaning you can use this anywhere. Definitely recommend.
Bought this for our 6 week old and she is captivated by the projections! We love it too! The only thing is that it eats through batteries (batteries dead after an hour and a half) so definitely invest in a 5volt or less plug to power it that way.
The build quality of this isn’t brilliant but it works really well for me. It gives a really nice light and it helps get my little one to sleep so worth it in that respect. Having batteries in it only lasted a week but does better when plugged in.
I came across this and while it isn’t specifically for small children, it works perfectly!! There are many different colours and settings you can use which is awesome. I have it projecting onto the ceiling with just the red light on so it doesn’t interfere with her sleep and the timer can be set for a really long time meaning that I don’t have to fiddle about with it or keep turning it on half way through the night!
I also bought a usb plug so I could plug it in to the wall which is the only downside for me, having to purchase one separately.
Other than that, it is incredible and has saved me getting up every 45 minutes with a crying scared baby!!
Not sure what was improved since last version as some cheaper products available seem to have more options like playing tunes or having interchangeable projector discs amd a remote control! It does the job, baby seems dazzled by the colours making me happy as well. Don’t expect to use it as a night light as both light quality is quite poor and you have to press three separate buttons to switch it on… Other than that its a readonable chinease made produc
I was a little sceptical about this product as I have bought similar which stopped working straight away. I have had this for over a month and I am very impressed!
I use it as a star projector every night as I relax before going to sleep. It projects across my ceiling from where it sits in the corner of the room. It is nice to be able to stick a timer on and not have to worry about getting out of bed to switch it off or falling asleep and having it on all night.
It plugs into the wall easily using a USB plug and I have seen no change to the brightness or clarity of light since purchase.
I would definitely recommend this product.
Great little projector for the price. Easy to set up, lots of colours to choose from, the timer and rotation functions on it are great and I am sure the lamp mode will come in handy later on.
Baby loves it. Only criticism is that stars projected further than a couple of metres get a bit fuzzy around the edges.
I got this for a nightlight for my son, she really like it.
Got one before similar, but not so much functions in it . Basically interested in this because you can set a timer, for turn it off.
Also it could change from simple light to a star light projector. Versatile, can operate from a power sources or on the batteries.
So it could travel with anywhere you want.
Absolutely beautiful! So many options for the light show settings! The stars do blur the father they are away across the room but for the price this is a spectacular way to wind my son down for bed. We set the timer to shut down just as we are finishing his stories so we can say “look, the stars have gone to bed, now it’s your turn!” Works like a charm!
The only con for me was the item was producing a very annoying sound when the rotation feature was enabled.
Overall a great product and would buy again, 4.5/5
his works really well as a projector when you take the lid/cover off. ( I got it as a gift and initially didn’t realise you had to do this!) Quite a dim night light with the cover on but overall really pleased with this , would recommend. Only 4 stars as it feels quite flimsy and didn’t come with a plug.
Love it.
However there is a soft buzzing sound when the motor is rotating. But if you can deal with that then it’s worth it.
Haven’t had it long enough to say whether it will last and not break after a couple of weeks.
The timer is great. I can set it knowing it’ll turn off if I fall asleep.
It’s quite simple to use, first know that this takes 3 AA batteries *or* can be plugged into anything which will power the USB cord provided. In my opinion, the best way to use this is to plug it in using any basic wall port, we have quite a few on hand so that wasn’t an issue, this thing will eat up batteries fast. It does not charge, so you have to power it one of the ways I mentioned above.
(If you want to use this as just a nightlight, leave the white opaque cover on, otherwise remove it to see the projection.)

This item is one of the best buys Ive ever made off amazon. Since I dont live in the UK, I was very happy it can be used with an USB connection to your laptop or an USB plug adapter or batteries. You can change colors, sets of colors, blinking, rotating, stand-still, projector throwing star pattern around the room (take off the outer shell), or as a cute night lamp. The effect is amazing, and Im quite impressed that it shows even in a room thats fully lightened up. I can watch tv and have other lights on and and still clearly see the stars. I find the timer function to be very convenient. In fact, I like it so much Im planning on buying it for my friends for christmas!
UPDATE:
The red bulb stopped working making a big difference to the effect and not being able to replace the bulbs I was gutted (only had it less then 2 months), but I messaged the seller who sent me a new one out promptly.
Definitely still 5 stars, just hope the bulbs last a bit longer this time.
The light is powered either by batteries or a USB power cable.
The light can be used with or without the cover or as a soft lamp.
If the cover is removed the light is projected onto the walls and ceiling in a sprinkling of stars and moons. With the cover on the projection is narrower or the inner projection dome can be removed leaving it as a lamp. With the cover on the lamp can be hung up using the cord provided.
There are four buttons on the front. Button A switches the warm white light on or off. Button B controls the coloured lights, yellow, red, green and blue. The number of times you press this button determines the colours. Button C rotates the lights causing the projection to swirl around, and D is a timer button.
This really is very effective and a baby or young child would find this very soothing.
