Really nice watch box. It was delivered in really good packaging, well protected, and I was pleased as soon as I unboxed it.
It’s made out of wood, which sets it apart from some of the ones made out of thin board and faux leather or suede glued on. The interior is a nice felt material and the cushions are all nice and uniform. Some may want to oil it as the wood is ‘unfinished’ but I liked the unfinished look.
All in all happy with this purchase and looking for an opportunity to buy a second one.
One small negative is the latch moves quite freely and the hook misses, so sometimes it takes two goes to latch it.
Ps. This box isn’t really made for travelling – the glass is a key feature but could get damaged and damage the contents if used to travelling.
Good quality snd great value. Looks better in person and looks worth more than i paid. Gave this as a gift to my husband and he loved it. Really is worth the money
Good value wooden watch box. Importantly the cushions allow for my watches to be clasped properly, which is not the case for some of the plastic boxes being sold by Amazon.
It does what it says on the box but for the price I was disappointed with the finish eg there is no coating or varnish. You cannot lock it (but I knew that). Overall it stores my watches but I will be applying some coats of varnish.
Compared to other boxes that hold this many watches their volume is quite reasonable. The cushions for the watches are a bit softer than I would like but that is only a small quibble. The wood used is totally inoffensive and could even be stained, were you so inclined. Overall a good purchase.
This arrived perfectly packaged. It’s super nice and expensive looking in person. I am shocked that it was set to such a low price. I think it looks so retro and antique, especially with the beautiful bronze color interior. It holds all of my husband’s watches which vary in size. I like that it has glass because some of his watches are solar powered. It’s excellent value for the money. Super happy with this purchase.
I like the box but it thought it was a darker colour so before I gave it too my grandson I wiped it over with a darker stain. and also put a bit of felt underneath on the corners so it wouldn’t scratch worktops. my grandsons only 11 but he likes his watches so he loved thus to put them in .
This is a great watch storage unit for the money, I don’t have any expensive watches, just a load of cheap one’s – not into Rolexs and the like myself. But it’s great, looks good and I can pick a different watch each day to wear from it. It’s well made, the lid stays up by itself when opened and doesn’t need holding. It really is great for the money.
The wood grain looks great and the box pretty much does what I wanted it to for a fair price. It does have some drawbacks which can be ignored when the cost is taken into consideration. The latch is fairly flimsy and will only last if you are aware of this fact; the pillows are slightly too small; and the wood feels a little rough as it is natural and unfinished. This last can be fixed with the application of some wood oil or beeswax. I commend the colour choice as the caramel of the interior is a perfect match for the wood.
