I use Tplink for all my wifi routers and they always deliver value, i have 3 of these ethernet splitterports around my house and they all work amazingly well, never any internet lag despite all the ports being used, and they use very little electric, would definitely recommend

For me this product is great. It’s lightweight compact and just looks nice. For a brand that we all know you would have thought it would have been more nope it was one of the cheapest for only 8

I purchased this to replace a TP-Link TL-SG105, that’s still going strong after about 6 years but being used in a different room now and this is being used for my computer hardware and to connect all my entertainment systems to the Internet.

The unit truly is plug and play so anyone can set it up, one lead in from the router to the unit then you can plug four items into the network such as smart TV’s, media servers, anything that requires the Internet. Alternatively you could use it just to connect computer systems, create your own network in the house.

I highly recommend this product, I have been using TP-Link products for years without any issues and always found them to be of good quality. This is the second Ethernet Network Switch I have from TP-Link, but I also have TP-Link security cameras, smart bulbs, smart plugs and wireless network adapters.

Got this for my lads bedroom, he has a BT wifi disc in his room, so plugged this into the disk and then his xbox, tv and laptop plugged into the switch.
great performance, exactly what we needed.

I bought this to power 2x Deco Outdoor Wireless Access Points and a HikVision IP Camera. It powers all three devices without issue. I love solutions that you simply turn on, plug in, and they work as they should.

This review is for the TP-Link TL-SG1005D, 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch. I found the product fitted my requirements exactly – a simple switch to provide extra ports. Lightweight placed it in a cupboard as it does not sit on a surface easily due to the cables holding it up as its so light. not sure the LED lights on it are of any use, however it simply does the job without any fuss – just plug in and off you go! I would recommend it to others.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI recently upgraded my home network setup with this Switch, and it has proven to be excellent.

First and foremost, the setup was a breeze. It truly lives up to the “plug and play” promise, allowing me to have it up and running within minutes. The auto-negotiation feature ensures that it seamlessly connects at the highest possible speed, making the most of my network’s capabilities.

The gigabit Ethernet ports deliver lightning-fast data transfer rates, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my network’s performance. Whether it’s streaming, online gaming, or large file transfers, this switch handles it all with ease. I easily get the full speed with no issues. I have this on the 2nd floor and have several devices plugged into it and so far have not experienced any slowness or dropouts.

The build quality is also solid, and the plastic case is durable. The switch’s compact design is ideal for my space, and it does not look out of place among the other devices I have.

I also appreciate the energy-saving feature, which helps reduce power consumption when ports are not in use. It’s a thoughtful addition that aligns with my efforts to maintain an eco-friendly home.

I highly recommend this network switch to anyone in need of a cost-effective and efficient solution to expand their network capabilities. It’s a top-notch choice!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersI upgraded my WiFi Hub to a newer better one provided by my service provider, but wasn’t informed that as well as all the improvements it offered, that there was one less port on the back. As a result a had one less device that I could use over a wired connection, and already had an issue on this front, as some things simply work better if they are connected to the Hub via an Ethernet cable.

I was looking to see if I could find some sort of two way splitter, when I saw this and some similar products. This one was the most reasonably priced of comparative products, and it works even better than I expected. Set-up is so simply, you connect to the power. Plug one Ethernet cable into this and the other into an Ethernet port at the back of your router, and you instantly have 4 additional wired connections to your router. There is no need to disconnect or connect anything to use it, devices connected to this splitter can be used in the same way as if connected directly to the Wifi Hub. I have been using it for some time now, and have not noticed any impact on speed. If none of the devices plugged into this are in use, you can switch it off (at the mains, no power switch) and use the Router normally.

This is simply a great bit of inexpensive kit, that not only solved a problem, but improved the situation.

For quite some time I needed 4 Ethernet ports for various equipment in my living room (TV, PS4, Media Player and Sky Q). Having tried switches in the past, I couldn’t understand why Sky Q was so unhappy with being connected to a switch (connected to Internet / not connected to Internet) – so I ran a long Ethernet cable from my router round the exterior wall of my house to the Sky Q box and all was fine. (My router is in the opposite corner and one floor up in the house). I connected the other equipment using WiFi and one of those Power Line adapters (Ethernet over Mains) and that was that – all OK.
Then on another Internet search recently, I found someone had suggested using an ‘Un-managed’ Switch. So I bought this one and…..it works.
This switch is nice and green (consuming very low energy), nice and cheap and so easy to start using – I connected port 5 to my router (via my long Ethernet cable) then plugged all the other devices including the Sky Q box into the remaining 4 ports on the switch, powered it on and hey presto – all working, all stable. Really pleased. So if you are looking to solve the Sky Q problem – this is it.

Golden Review Award: 864 From Our UsersBought this as I have just moved to sky fibre max and the Sky Q router only has 2 Ethernet ports. I need 5 with my household set up with Hive and several other things all requiring individual ports.
I am not a computer whizz so bought this on a wing and a prayer.
Connected it to the router then plugged the rest of my equipment into this. Plugged the power in switched on and my entire network was up and running immediately.
I put this review up for anyone who knows little or nothing about networking who may be switching to a router with not enough Ethernet ports.
I can highly recommend this uni
