Needed this for a camera outside under the fascia to run into a drilled hole in the wall. Had no probs at all. Camera stays charging. Nice quality item and great value
The foirst thing to note about this cable is that it is good but niot the best of cables. It is not a USB C to USB C but is actually a USB A to USB C.
The difference between C to C and A to A is the amount of energy7 the cables can handle. The description states this is a “Fast Charging” product when it actually isn’t. For some smart phones it is adequate and will deliver what those manufacturers claim to be “fast” or “quick” however it certainly cannot provide enough energy for my “Rapid” charge phone.
A USB A plug simply cannot handle too high a wattage whereas a C plug can easily cope with 100+w. The cable is around 50% thinner than rapid charging cables that are designed to go with 100w and more power adapters and it has thinner braiding.
For those on a budget this cable is fine and it’s good for those that don’t mind waiting a few hours to get a full charge to their device but for those that want a full charge in less than 1/2 hour (depending on manufacturer and model of the device) then it’s worth paying a bit more and getting something that can handle high energy flows.
Overall this is a good product for those on a budget and it is of good quality so I can recommend it however if not on a budget then consider something better.
Always dubious on buying long cables for speed and durability. This cable has been in garden all “summer” rain and shine still work. And full capability for data and not just charge. Top notch
