I recently had to work on my car’s door handle so had to remove the door card, the tools helped to remove without scratches. Also useful for moving the wiring loom in the door.
you cant go wrong with a good set like this, they will get many things open easily without causing damage.
I like the blue colour, getting all the items back into the provided box can be a bit of a puzzle but that’s really not that important.
I didn’t dislike anything about these.
I’ve used a few of the different size tools in this kit and managed to remove all the internal panels on my car without and plugs/clips breaking.
Thumbs up from me
I have blue “Bojo’s”, and some generic prys (orange), but these Wetado’s are that little bit harder in plastic making them better at prying out stiff rear light clusters, pop-down engine bay clips etc. I’m heading for the Wetados as my first grab in the tools box when I have a fitting to do. The Bojo’s now seem too bendy
After years of using dinner forks and screwdrivers I finally gave in and bought this cheap set of trim tools. Have removed a lot of my old BMW interior so far with this set and not lost or broken a single fastening or clip.
I recently purchased the Wetado Trim Removal Tool Set, an 8-piece kit designed for car upholstery repair, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with its versatility and effectiveness. Here’s a detailed review of my experience with this kit:
**Tool Variety and Functionality:**
The kit includes various tools such as pry bars, clip pliers, and adhesive cable clips, which are essential for safely removing and installing car door panels, audio panels, and other interior components without causing damage. Each tool is specifically designed for different aspects of car repair, making this kit extremely versatile for a range of tasks.
**Material and Durability:**
Each tool in the set is made from tough, impact-resistant nylon material. This not only prevents scratching or marring of your car’s interior surfaces but also ensures the tools can withstand the rigors of regular use without breaking. The clip pliers are particularly robust, with a solid construction that handles tough clips and fasteners effortlessly.
**Ergonomic Design:**
The handles of the pry tools are ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use. This design consideration is a huge plus, especially when working on intricate repairs that require a steady hand.
**Efficiency:**
The pry tools and pliers work together seamlessly to remove fasteners, clips, panels, and trim with minimal effort. For example, the clip pliers are incredibly effective at quickly removing staples and clips without damaging the surrounding areas, which speeds up the disassembly process.
**Portability and Organization:**
The entire set comes in a compact, easy-to-store bag that keeps all the tools organized and portable. This is particularly useful for keeping in your car for emergencies or carrying to different work sites.
**Applications:**
Beyond car repairs, I’ve found this kit useful for tasks around the house, like removing nails or staples from furniture or prying open lids. The adhesive cable clips are a bonus for managing wires and cables, adding extra value to this toolkit.
**Value for Money:**
Given the comprehensive range of tools and their quality construction, this set offers great value for money. It’s a worthy investment for DIY enthusiasts or professionals who regularly work on car interiors.
In conclusion, the Wetado Trim Removal Tool Set is a highly recommended purchase for anyone in need of a reliable and effective solution for car upholstery and trim work. Its design, material quality, and functionality make it an indispensable toolset for many repair and maintenance tasks.
Solid tools – feel and easy to operate. I’ve brought cheaper ones and they become nasty and too sharp too quickly. These are expensive but well worth the extra fiver.
I used these tools to pop off the door panel on my Mini. They did this task well and I’ve since used them to help ease out a light from my daughter’s Freelander. In both cases they did the task without damaging the car.
These are made of plastic (with the exception of one tool which has a plastic handle and a metal shaft and lever). They were inexpensive and will probably only be used once or twice so longevity is less of an issue. The plastic feels fairly sturdy and less likely to damage fittings than metal tools.
Had a problem with the window lifter switch and so needed to take the inside door-panel off – without marking the door carcass (unlike the guy who had my car before me, who tried to get the panel off with a screwdriver!). Anyway, worked well and sufficiently strong to get the inner panels off. Happy to say, I could recover the proper operation of two window lifter switches
