Very good the weight of it really helps you to cut and it was sharp enough but not like Japanese who are really sharp but it’s excellent enough to use, I have had other knives from this manufacturer for years and the price was very good as well
You have to understand that you can’t receive real Zwilling quality for this value. If you decided to use it on daily basis you will have to invest even more in good sharpening tool.Handle is Ok!
This is a Chinese Chopper style knife not a cleaver. It is designed to chop vegetables, slice meats etc. Not designed to cut through bone like a cleaver.
It is exceptionally sharp and well balanced and feels comfortable in the hand.
This is my main go to knife. Excellent in both fine slicing, for example cucumber and tomato, and performs particularly well when cutting through large vegetables like swede, red cabbage and celeriac.
Highly recommended.
Quite balanced weight with the handle and blade. You can use the tip of the blade to do some fine cut and it can chop some chicken bone with the end of blade. Country of origin was not found on the packaging. Not sure it is made in German/other country.
Really nice, well weighted knife. Edge wasn’t perfect and needed re-dressing to a more consistent angle but for the price I kinda expected that. Just make sure you know how to use a whetstone and you’ll be fine. Perfect if you cook a lot of veg as the wider blade makes it easier to move larger amounts around quickly.
Very sharp,I am pleasantly surprised not too heavy, sharp, handle is comfortable,I bought it on sell for black Friday so I am happy with the price as well
Being used for chopping chicken wings for raw food for two dogs. Deliberated, as I wondered if it would be up to the job. It certainly is and good price during promotion although I wouldn’t have been disappointed at full price.
Bought this to see if Chinese cleavers suited my cooking and am overall very happy. The knife sits well in the hand and is balanced quite nicely. I’m really enjoying the large blade for scooping food off the chopping board. I don’t think this is a knife I will use long term however as it feels very western – the blade only holds an edge OK and the whole blade feels too fa
Finally took the plunge and bought a decent Chinese chef’s knife. This is actually great value and the quality is top notch. I have a set of ‘Global’ brand Japanese knives and they are very poor. One blade actually broke clean off as I was using it. They are four times the price. It’s got good weight to it. I hand wash only and it looks as good as new after several months of daily use. It’s razor sharp and easy to sharpen even for the unskilled! About to buy the brand again.
I like using this Chinese knife. it is a versatile tool. cut all sizes and easy to hold. and all u need a good chopping board to take most out of this knife. one has to use this carefully the cutting chopping will be a breeze . follow all the safety rules and it will be an asset for a cook
Bought the product as the narrative suggested it will cut through thin meat bones. When removing the product from the packaging the first thing noticed is that it has a warning against cutting meat bones! Not suggesting it would be used for lamb leg bones or anything like that but it should be able to separate pork chops and spare ribs.
I’ve already got a Zwilling knife and am really pleased with it, hence the reason for acquiring this cleaver…Well it certainly didn’t let me down. No need to sharpen as it came super sharp out of the box. It is ergonomic has a balanced weight about it and has made my salad making even more easier. It’s also very versatile with a multitude of other produce. If you’re looking for a cleaver then this is a must have.
