These blinds are very easy to cut and stick up and they block out all the sun completely ! We bought one each for our kids rooms and got one for our own room as well – can highly recommend

I’m in a rented flat and one of the bedroom blinds lets in way too much sunlight, waking me up at 5am (since it’s summer!)

So I wanted a temporary solution. I cut a piece out of the (HUGE) piece of material to fit the window, stuck it up with the round adhesives, and hey presto! It’s been up for a week so far, and there’s been no problems.

You get loads of sticky pads, loads of material, and for some reason, mine also came with velcro strips, but i didn’t use them. Really worth the money!

I got this to blackout my bedroom window as I need to get up early and being woken up earlier by dawn wasn’t helping. I can now sleep through till my alarm. It would have been nice to have this as removable but the sticky discs are sticky and keep it up.

I had a roller blind for my bay windows. The sun light was still coming through early morning. Once this is fitted the room is dark enough to sleep well especially for kids. You can’t see much on the photos thats because its so dark.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works well

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWith summer in full swing in the UK – getting a toddler to believe it is bedtime before 10pm is a challenge when it is broad daylight outside but, this product has completely resolved our woas!

Total black out, comes in a large sheet for you to cut to your desires dimensions (razer included to aid cutting). It is sleek and totally black so fits any asthetic.

It has good thermal qualities, keeps heat in, in winter and keeps heat out in summer.

It came with small double sided clear adhesion disks which I have not had to replace since I’ve started using it.

Personally I would have preferred a velcro adhesion to make taking it off during the day less of a challenge as sometimes the disks would be left behind on the surface it was affixed to or, when you fold the sheet up for storage, the disks get stuck to the folded sheet (this isn’t a real breaker though as it comes apart easily and the tackiness remains).

It also has a really handy storage bag!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have floor to ceiling glass. The length was perfect and required no cutting. Only adjustment I made was to the width. Could not have been more easy and simple. I wish I found these ages ago. They truly block out all light. Unlike other users I have had no issue with the sticky pads falling off. Give them a good press on to the surface.

Great product and plenty of sticky disks provided.
If using the cutter provided make sure that each side of the cut line is kept right and it will glide through effortlessly.

This product checks all the boxes: Blocks light completely, lightweight, easy to install, great adhesive tapes, no holes, no smell.

(Small note on the nano tapes: At first I thought they were one-sided and the product was faulty; but they are indeed two-sided, you’ll just need to peel off the thin cover. This is the first time I’ve used nano tapes, and they are amazing!)

I was surprised how well this product worked. Definitely cuts out all the light. I’ve used mine on a high up velux ceiling window in a bathroom. I needed more privacy but also to keep the room cool in our more common heatwave’s but warmer and insulating in winter. This product solves all three problems and at a really cheap fix price. There is plenty of material over for me to use on other windows in the summer for temporary blinds too. I could have gone the expensive velux blind route but I doubt I’d be opening and closing it that much so this suits me better. Plus I don’t have to worry about my neighbours flying a drone over my roof any longer.
Now where are the candles? Time for a relaxing bath. Another Job done.

Pair this with hook and loop tape (the stuff it came with wasn’t quite the best adhesive wise) and it’s a very cheap black out blind alternative. Used in kids bedrooms last summer (2023) this kept some of the heat out and all of the light. I was genuinely surprised with how effective this was. Cut slightly larger than the window frame size and this will stop any light creeping around the edges.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt blacks out the light really well. One side is black the other is a reflecting surface. It comes with plenty of fabric to use so you can cut it to the size you need and a special cutting tool which is easy to use. It’s not very thick but strong. My children sleep better with the curtain. The sticky pads that come with the kit are somewhat sticky. Best to not have a window open as the material comes off.

At first I was a bit sceptical. It also looked a bit tricky and I wondered if it was worth the effort.
The good news is that it works a treat.
Cutting to size is very easy with the included cutter. The nano tape pieces work well and are very powerful but they do lose their tackiness after 3 to 4 weeks. Product information says they’re washable but this is not very practical in situ as you need running water rather than a cloth. I gave up on that and replaced them knowing that nano tape is freely available when I run out. Removing the pieces is best done using a heat source like a hairdryer and peeling them off carefully. No damage to the wallpaper if you do it this way.

If you want pitch darkness this is well worth taking a minute each night to put up. Putting up and taking down isn’t too onerous for the benefits gained.
    Very satisfied

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe brought this as a temporary blackout blind whilst decorating my son’s room. We had been trying to use a well-known brand of blackout blind but found it still let light through and kept falling down so tried this on a whim. It does really block out the light and is such a good size (we have very large bay windows and this covers it well). The only downside are the adhesive dots as despite following the instructions it fell down after 15 minutes. I have used adhesive Velcro strips to hold this up which work perfectly and it does the job fine. It does have a reflective back but we haven’t noticed a real difference in hea

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersThe transparent adhesives work great to hold up the 145cm x 250cm blind material on my very large skylight (almost the size of the blackout blind). I used 4 of the adhesives. They are sticky on both sides and hold the blind securely in place (i.e. four is sufficient to support the full weight of the blind). I was able to remove the blind and reattach it without any issues. However, my concern is that the adhesive may lose its stickiness over time due to dust and other debris getting attached to it. Of course, they’ve provided quite a few of these adhesives so they can be replaced, but you may need to get more once these run out. I stuck the adhesive to the glass directly and it is great that they are clear so they appear almost invisible on the glass. The blind material itself is great, with a black backing and a silver window facing side to reflect heat. My living room is much cooler now after blocking out the sun and heat coming in from the skylight.

    Pros:
    – Super strong adhesive but blind removable and re-attachable without impacting strength of adhesion
    – Excellent quality blind material with silver reflective side
    – Good supply of adhesives and a blind cutter
    – Carry pouch for travel

    Cons:
    – Yet to be confirmed, but I’m concerned that the adhesive may lose its stickiness over time and that I’ll need to purchase more adhesive tape once the ones supplied run out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works on Skylights!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is the first summer our son is sleeping in his nursery so we didn’t know how hot his room gets as our bedroom faces the back of the house. Considering we’re not in a crazy heatwave yet his room was reaching about 26/27degrees. He was also starting to really resist bed at nighttime (as it’s now so light). So we tried this and immediately the difference of the silver side reflecting the sun was felt. Had our first sleep last night and though he was still a bit resistant to bed time he actually slept 1.5hours longer this morning andi imagine that’s because the light didn’t wake him. So is it one to try? Yes!! Only possible negative is that the front of the house now reminds me of the people that wear silver foil hats to stop the “aliens” haha. But judge us from the road if you like, if my boy has a lie in at weekends… Crack on!!
