A really clever idea loads of uses , we used one with meat and the other with veg , it can be used with a little motor with a little messing about , but even my hand rotation every once in a while thy do the job , no messing with tongs and bits falling into the fire.
Once used just pop into dishwasher and good as new.
You do have to handle with a bit of care as too much force will dent the cage.
All in all a clever and reasonable priced BBQ additive.

This is a decent set of baskets that we’ve only had chance to use a few times owing to our inclement weather.

They seem decently made but are quite flimsy in places, such as the lid. As such they’re not perfect, but if you keep an eye and are careful they’ll be fine.

They handle a decent amount of veggies and do the job in getting them on the grill and grilling nicely. Just be careful as their flimsiness can lead to spills.

Owning a barbecue, I have several accessories to make BBQ cooking quicker, easier and more enjoyable. This is a pair of grill baskets designed to allow cooking of variety of things such as vegetables fish, meat etc and allow the to be easily turn for more even cooking. The alternative these would be most likely a skewer which for me can be quite messy. Overall a well priced and made useful BBQ tool.

These are a great product. I have lost track of the times sliced veg has ended up falling through the grill into the BBQ coals. This clever piece of kit can be filled with all sorts of things and then placed on the grill and the cage rotated round for even cooking. It’s like making a kebab skewer with out the actual skewer! You get two baskets, one stores inside the other, two wooden handles, two forks and a ring thing, that I’m not too sure what it’s for! The wooden handles are used for turning the baskets, make sure they are left over the edge, and not near the fire itself.

They are great! We had a BBQ and placed a large amount of mixed vegetables into them, it made cooking them super easy, and they all cooed really well, no way could we have done it with skewers. They are a little large ideally I think a bit smaller would be better as they took up a lot of space.

Now I have to admit my wife left the wooden handles in the box and therefore they went on the BBQ without them, so it was a bit of challenge removing a hot metal cage and then opening it, with the handles on it would be fit, but then you’re going to have to be careful not to burn the wood!

Not only is it easier to cook mixed veg but it’s also easy to prepare, forget adding them to a skewer one by one, just throw everything in, super simple and high effective. How did we ever BBQ without these! They are brilliant!

They went into the dishwasher and came out as new.

Really like them and highly recommend

Two roller baskets that open via the tops with very small metal hinges and clip shut.
The long tube shaped cages, one is slightly smaller than the other so they can be packaged in a small box.
They are tarnish free and are otherwise in good condition.
The handles are detached and require fixing to the cages.
They are made from smooth wood and have nut and bolt fixings.
Arrives with a couple of hooks and two small pick style forks.
I haven’t used them yet and can see how they may be useful for turning food but the wooden handles would need to be kept away from the flame or maybe soaked before use perhaps?
I think I might have chosen a different material or may leave them off and just use the hooks?

These baskets will allow you to put food on the bbq to give them that smokey flavour without having the food fall between the bars. Being stainless steel these are easy to clean and shouldn’t rust they can be hand or dishwasher cleaned. Great value

Firstly I like the product. The girls are a good size and it prevents smaller items falling into the grill. The little metal handles for opening the lid are too flimsy as the lid closes tight. I used a tea towel to protect myself rather than the tool. The wooden handles are great and it safe to turn.

Pretty strong and robust for now.
However the mesh is no particularly thick.
Good easy management, no stick or fell through the gaps.
Nice evenly heat, with the constant monitoring and turning.
Could fit quite a bit to save space.
Used it twice and just need soaking prior to brush clean.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for veggies

Well I have never seen a BBQ gadget like this before. Made of galvanised steel and looking like a roll of chicken wire, the grill partners are for those bits you can’t risk falling between the BBQ rails. They are pretty effective but an absolute nightmare to clean effectively, a small wire brush is my recommendation.
Good for veg and shellfish and the like.

I haven’t actually used these yet, so I can only comment on the product, not the use of it.
So, first impressions were good. I haven’t ever seen this type of basket/cages before. These cages appear to be made very well. They are sturdy and I can appreciate the thought behind them.
I’m trying to think what would be the best items to use them for. Maybe mackerel, fresh from the sea, gutted, heads removed and cooked whole???
As I mentioned, not seen or used anything like this before but I’m looking forward to trying them out for various meat/fish/veg items

    It’s a great idea
You get two “rollers” in the pack, one is slightly smaller and fits inside the other.
Each is basically a roll of stainless steel mesh with ventilated ends – a wooden handle attaches one end.

They make efficient use of grill space as you can fill them with say peppers and grill a whole bunch at the same time.

    There are only two downsides:

The first is that you need to keep rolling them and sometimes shake them. This isn’t a huge problem if you have a dedicated barbecue attendant. I may look to see if they can be adapted to work on a rotisserie.

The second is that the handle securing is not really strong enough for the loaded weight of the baskets so you have to be careful when you lift them not to put too much strain on it otherwise it will bend the end plate. *Tip – you can strengthen it if you add two large washers (stainless steel) either side of the end plate.

Overall, they’re a great idea and with a bit of care totally functional. Thumbs up from me!

These will take a lot of food – great for BBQ parties. I guess the work will be in having to keep turning these to avoid food being burnt. Maybe if you user skewers to hold the food away from the edges it could work even better.

Though well made I am not sure how durable these will be once they have been used a few times. I guess as long as you clean and dry them after use they should last.

I did notice that the wooden handles could not securely attach to the base as there were no bolts to thread over the metal ends that go through the base holes.

Overall I am happy to recommend these.
