Yes, you do have to register this device so it recognizes on each of your own. The prompts will help you. I found it very easy and am usually very resistant about such things. (You don’t use the cord that comes with it! So simple.)

I needed this for a wireless printer which was not picking up the raw signal from my wifi router. All you need is your cellphone and the router password. Easy, even if the manual is in a very small typeface and at first sight looks complicated. Works exactly as advertised.
