I have been using this product for more than a year to transfer pics from my Sony XQD card to my drive. I have had no issues at all and the product works absolutely fine!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice little reader. I bought it because of the nice *attached* USB C to A adapter. I can use it with my iPad Pro, or with the desktop or USB hub with little chance of losing any cables or bits. On my XQD card (Sony 440MB/s R / 400 MB/s W), my benchmarked speed using the reader hooked up to my desktop was 413 R / 229 W. I get slower speeds measuring on the M1 iPad Pro (213 W / 247 R), but its a different benchmark app so it might not be a fir comparison. Speed in real world use seems great.

XQD reader works great on Mac, only minor issue is USB plug is little bit to thick so it doesn’t fit like normal plugs; you have to push and pull harder.

I already have a Sony XQD card reader that I use at home and when I travel – it is high performance and high quality. But I decided to buy another one, at a more affordable price, to have it on hand in the office.
This adapter is both quick and able to copy all photos/videos from my Sony 120GB XQD card, and also with this adaptor – I can transfer the firmware files to the XQD card, this way I can upgrade the camera’s firmware —
because you cannot copy the firmware via the USB cable from a computer directly to the camera’s memory card.

    * This card reader can hit some decent transfer rates if you have the hardware to push it through the pipes.
    * It is compact and travel friendly.
    * It’s made of lightweight plastic but as long as you don’t abuse it, it shouldn’t be a problem.

For the price – I would say it’s a must have for people looking for an affordable XQD card reader.

    Pros:
    + Decently fast
    + Small / Portable
    + Easy to use
+ Plug & Play (no drivers or software needed)

    Cons:
    – none
(I will update if I find anything on continuous use)

Overall, this XQD card reader is doing exactly what it’s supposed to do and does it very well.
    Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars High performance – Easy to use – Travel friendly
