Pleased with this inspection camera. The quality of it and the clear images make it worth its price tag. It’s easy to use and although it would be great to be able to record on it I much prefer not downloading these dodgy looking foreign apps that seem to come with things these days.
Would recommend.
Fantastic, handy little device. Very simple to use, with large tactile buttons, an excellent battery life and no proprietary cables, easy to charge with any USB-C.
The screen is large and clear, and the image quality is pretty good.
Depending on the situation, it can be quite fiddly to manoeuvre and hold and watch the screen at the same time so a built-in clamp or something like that would have been good, otherwise, some jobs will be far easier with another pair of hands and eyes. But could still be a huge timesaver.
Extra attachments are a nice touch and I imagine will come in handy sooner or later.
Overall a good simple and compact device and surprisingly useful and versatile.
A great tool for those whose eyeballs aren’t easily removable so as to look at things through a gap too small to fit a whole head in. I wanted it to see how my floor was constructed as most of it is all over the place levelwise, so I could attempt to determine if this was indicating a significant problem, or something I could ignore.
It has a nice clear display and the controls are clear, simple, and idiot proof.
It just works, operating as expected. No need for a manual, which is just as well given the brevity of the one supplied.
A simply tool that works well, that does its job, a job I know of no other way of doing easily. The alternative would probably have been removing all the furniture, ripping sections of laminate up, and then removing the flooring so as to see what’s down there, instead I was able to use a removable section of floor, used for central heating pipe access/maintenance, and shove the probe down through it and have a look around – much less aggravation, and much much cheaper.
It’s a pretty basic endoscope but it did what I wanted, without my having to learn anything to use it.
USB C port to charge it’s internal battery, said battery lasts at least an hour.
Happy to give it 5 stars.
I’ve been using this inspection camera to check tight spaces for work.
Pros:
*The 5-meter cable length is really convenient, allowing me to reach far-off areas easily.
*The video feed is clear and stable, providing a reliable view of what I’m inspecting.
*The 4.3-inch screen is large enough to see details clearly without straining my eyes.
Cons:
*While the cable is adequate, it could be further reinforced for better durability.
In conclusion, this inspection camera has been a handy tool for my work projects and home maintenance tasks.
A really handy gadget to have around with a multitide of uses. Generally I use these for checking cavity walls and between floorboards and ceilings. I don’t do plumbing but it would be useful for checking drains and traps as well.
The cable is rigid enough to push through fibreglass and has enough flexibility, over a short distance, to usually see enough. The cable is over 16ft long but I doubt you’d ever use it over that distance unless you were in an unobstructed pipe or something similar as manipulating the camera becomes more dificult as the length of cable increases.
The image screen is quite clear and the 2x maginification is useful though it would be a lot better if you had an sd card to be able to save images to for further studying. Being able to dim the camera is a good option for checking heating vents to stop the glare reflecting back of the metal housing.
Overall a very useful gadget to have in your tool kit.
This endoscope arrived nicely packaged.
It was ready to operate (fully charged) straight out of the box and after reading the instruction manual, it was easy to operate.
The 5m length of cable is great and enables you to look from a good distance.
Both the camera itself and the cable look and feel good quality. It is very well made.
The image that appears on screen was of good quality and clear. Although you can rotate the camera and zoom in and out, you do need to be quite close to the object with the lens in order to get a clear image.
For my husbands needs, looking into cavity walls, the endoscope works very well and gives decent images.
He was unable to save or record any of the images- however this is not a big issue for him.
If you are looking for such a tool for your DIY, we would really recommend this endoscope.
I’ve found the endoscope really useful. It’s really easy to use straight out of the box; it arrived charged, and you literally press the on button and off you go.
The picture is really clear, and the light is very bright so you can see some way with it. The cable is also really long.
There were a couple of issues; the camera is fixed, so as the cables twists, so does the picture which can make it difficult to orient. The cable is quite stiff, but not quite enough to be able to manipulate the camera when you’ve got >1m down the drain. I’ve tried to use it to see a blockage in our low profile shower drain but have found this really difficult as the camera snags and I can’t get the leverage with the cable to get it past the ridge in the plumbing. With the cable being so long, it would also benefit from a reel to keep it on and reel it in and out so it doesn’t get tangled, as it’s quite unweildy. Other than this, fantastic little piece of kit. Although I didn’t have much luck with the drain, it’s proved really handy for finding retrieving all the cat toys under the aquariums, and also became a cat toy at one point because he loved the light.
This is a nice entry level endoscope. It’s very easy to use, with simple, obvious controls for rotating the picture, zooming in and out and controlling the light.
It doesn’t have any bells and whistles though. There’s no way to save the video, or connect it to PC or app. It’s just a camera with a live video feed.
The cable is strong and maintains its shape well, and everything seems well constructed. It allows you to see into places where you just couldn’t get without a tiny camera, and I’ve already found it useful around the house. But I’ve also found it works great as a simple microscope for electronics work / soldering. With the main unit attached to a tripod via a mobile phone holder, I can position the camera almost anywhere to help with soldering. Obviously, there are proper microscopes available for this kind of work, but I like the flexibility of this device and how it lets me use it in interesting ways.
Worked out of the box, the 5m endoscope cable outperformed my previous 1m system and the viewing screen was bright and worked well in light and dark conditions.
Powered by internal rechargeable battery with a supplied USB C cable, it charges quite quickly and has some simple controls on the RH of the screen to make some sense of the image- basically it will allow the image to flip- one problem of such systems is that the words Up/Down mean nothing to a camera and so rotating the cable of the image is one of the only ways to get a better view. Also magnification up to 2x and LED brightness can be increased to improve the image.
A disappointment is that the focal range of the lens is relatively short, a few inches or so for crisp clarity, but it does drop off quite quickly after that, so great for DIY and local behind wall as house plumbing, but will struggle in a challenging industrial environment as simply not designed to have so much versatility. One disadvantage is that images cannot be grabbed form the camera, it won’t save the image or record it, which often does make if difficult if you are manoeuvring hte lens and seeing the image at the same time.
The camera cable is permanently fixed to the screen body and is of good manufacture, no cosmetic marks, defects of poor joints were noted, the charging port is covered by a rubber cover, but I am not sure if the body is actually waterproof to any degree.
When the image is in focus, the screen image is very good, although I would not suggest they are of the very high clarity seen in the photos of the description, they are still of high quality and more that suitable for most home uses. Perhaps one change I would suggest is to bundle a semi-rigid case for storage and the current box and vac-form tray does make tool-box carry a bit harder- however its’ a good endoscope of better performance than ones used to be bundled for use on a smart phone
