I used it to replace a faulty power supply for my USB hub, everything worked. Usually these power adaptors is a little bit over the stated voltage, when I used my meter on the voltage, this one only gives out 4.7 volt.

ecently obtained an Arduino starter kit to review, and while it did come with a 9v battery and they can be powered via USB its a lot better to have an actual power supply for them as USB is power limited and requires the thing to be near a USB socket.

these simple wall warts are good, 2A output is plenty to power a project board with displays, LEDs etc above what USB can normally do (power the arduino via its 5v pin, ideally via a diode so the computer powers up the board for programming but not the rest of the project)

dead easy to use, the adaptor with screw terminals makes using this very simple and easy to unplug as well.

I bought this power supply unit to provide power to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0BGJDPT27 hub, when I initially look at the hub; I sort of assumed it would require a 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug. I was so glad that I had ordered a PSU with 7 different DC tips, as my assumption was incorrect, though this PSU did have a suitable DC tip.

The result is that I now have a 7 port USB 3 powered hub for just under 24 that was a good result in my eyes.
