I had to replace my old vented dryer which broke down after many years of use and I was totally bewildered by the new technology used in the new super efficient tumble dryers that take much longer to dry your clothes but cost a lot less to run. I have been surprised at how well it works and the drying cycle usually takes less time than stated in the program due to the sensors being able to sense when the clothes are dry. The only problem is that the room that the dryer is in needs to be ventilated as it pumps out warm damp air. It isn’t a huge amount but you can feel it in the air and it may cause mould on the walls over time so I leave doors open that the dryer is in to let the air circulate.
This tumble dryer is great, I didn’t mind the extra cost as it’s the greenest option I could find for my laundry…Did you know tumble drying removes cat hairs too! Well it certainly does that as well. The noise is there but not overbearing. The appearance is great for my kitchen. The size is pretty regular size of appliances. The size of load is impressive too. So much to compliment this tumble dryer on.
As it’s a heat pump mechanism, it doesn’t need to be vented & I can place it anywhere in my utility room.
It’s quiet in operation & there are loads of programme choices.
It isn’t speedy, but it is very energy efficient, which is good news for my budget & the planet. Good warranty too!
Great Drying and energy efficient.
Reasonable Drying times and relatively easy to use machine. I had a little problem trying to use the optional Dryness Level program.
This is a very well made machine and a great looking one.
It is a little bit on the noisy side.
It dries clothes well and for less cost than my previous vented dryer.
Clothes hardly creased after drying.
Only difficulty I had was when installing the dryer, I couldn’t turn the feet at the bottom to stabilise the dryer, so had to wedge something under to keep the dryer steady when using.
Overall a good drye
We have the tumble dryer in a cupboard in the utility room. Works well with little sound. Energy consumption has been low and with solar panels has not went above what is generated during the day. Drawer of water is easy to remove and drain when needed.

Large drum capacity. Takes longer to dry then my older vent dryer. However, this one is much more efficient and drys towels fluffy and soft. I use the mixed setting and Eco cotton mainly. So far very happy with this product does a great job.
This tumble drier is made in Poland. The warranty is two years – naturally I would have liked longer but you can’t get everything. The door is reversible though the instructions were slightly generic and showed parts that didn’t feature on this model which was a bit confusing. But the actual door switch process is pretty straightforward if you don’t look at the supplied instructions in too much detail.
The supplied condensate drainage hose is just 8mm internal diameter so it’s a bit of a challenge to work out how to connect it in a robust manner below the sink – most dishwashers / washing machines have a larger hose diameter to connect to the trap. So that’s something that would be helpful for AEG to address for the UK market.
Runs quietly, good lint filter system. Probably too many programme options – it’s a tumble drier – just dry the clothes! The sensidry system seems to work well at adjusting the programme length the amount of moisture in the clothes. For the price I paid on an amazon deal I am pleased.
