I like this cam.
Pros:
Its a affordable, shoots very nice 4k/60fps videos, is out of the box waterproof (went swimming with it)
Camera App for the phone is pretty decent and camera comes with remote control and two batteries.
There are some Cons as well,
There is no image stabilization in the camera, Stabilization is made in phone app, and there is no PC version for the App either.
Batteries I received with cam must be pretty old already since they hold power quite poorly. I ordered another set of batteries straight from shopakaso.com and they last much longer than those that came with camera.
Lastly, camera’s lowlight performance is quite poor.
This is a great action camera. It comes with a lot of accessories (mounts), two batteries and charging base/cord. Resolution is pretty good considering the price point. I like that its touch screen and very light. I bought the mount you see in the picture for the roll cage and with the stability control feature turned on, the video came out better than I thought. One battery lasted about 3 hours for a total of 6 intermittent video clips of about 13min each in mostly night riding at 4k with stability control and wind reduction feature turned on. Microphone is really good also. I was able to hear my radio and the engine clearly and distinctly throughout the video. I really liked the remote which allowed me start and stop recording while being strapped in the harness. The night video was recorded with the camera mounted on the roll cage without any dust cover or underwater cover. The lensed got a bit dusty but overall ok.
The reason for the decrease of one star is due to the buttons being very hard/difficult to press. I understand the need for them to be a bit stiff to prevent accidental recording, but this was a bit to too much. I had to press very hard (in my opinion) to turn on the camera. The other reason is that it doesn’t really like low light recording. You can see in the video that even when we got back on the road, the video was still a bit grainy. I would expect it to be a bit blurry due to the dust but not as grainy/pixilated. I don’t really mind it as I will mostly use it for off-roading on a sxs and wont need high resolution. With that said, this is my first action camera and so I cant really compare it to anything other than online videos from other action cameras like the go pro.
Overall I recommend it and I would buy again. You can’t beat the features for the price and the video quality is overall good in my opinion, all things considered.
Not used this yet but if it’s half as good as my other akaso camers it will be awesome the reviews on it are amazing so I’m really looking forward to using i
Recomendo a cmera e o vendedor responde as perguntas e cumpriu rigorosamente a descrio do anncio.
Pregi:
– La cam rispetto alla brave 8 non si surriscalda pi molto;
– Durante il download dei filmati non si scarica pi tutta la batteria;
– Video al top per il prezzo pagato;
– Stabilizzazione ottima;
– Ottima la funzione hyperlapse per i filmati (timelapse+hypersmooth);
Difetti:
– Quando cambierrete la risoluzione, la stabilizzazione si disattiva in modo autonomo;
– L’audio non viene catturati benissimo:
– Sullo schermo frontale non compaiono le impostazioni che darete;
– In condizione di scarsa luminosit non f bene ma sgrana troppo e f molto rumore;
– I video in formato hdr sono da dimenticare (troppo svraesposta e manca la stabilizzazione);
In sintesi nonostante i difetti io ve la consiglio tutta la vita, perch per la fascia di prezzo che la pagherete, non ne troverete di meglio in giro. Qualit dei filanti al top e della stabilizzazione
The Brave 7 LE was incredibly easy to operate , which has been a big complaint by me with the Action Camera genre for years. Easy SD card formatting, resolution settings, simple on and off / pairing and recording with remote control wrist remote. Quality of shots along with long battery life (and you get two batteries) make this a very worthwhile riding kit at a great price. Very happy.
Acquistata dopo aver letto ottime recensioni.
Ease of use for the kids to get into videos/photos. but wifi connection to the app on the phone is rather finicky. otherwise shots are good and quality is decent. kids are enjoying the use of it.
I’ve had action cams before and they were always disappointing. Someone recommended this to me so I thought I would give it a try, actually they had the older model. I’m not sure what the difference is but I’m very happy with this, it seems very well thought out.
The video quality is way better than I expected. I’m not talking about the resolution, which is fine, I’m talking about the image quality itself there is no stutter no Shimmer no blur or anything that would make me sick while watching my own nauseating fishing videos.
I like the Distortion correction feature, it works well in wide mode but you cannot use it with the image stabilization. I don’t miss image stabilization because I’m not riding a bike or anything that would really require stabilization.
I honestly see very little difference with stabilization on and off. Anyway that could always be done in post edit if necessary.
The construction is solid the buttons are well placed.
I like the power saving standby mode but note: requires two presses of the record button to start record. one press to wake and a second press to start record.
The touch and swipe functions of the screen work well.
The menu is intuitive and clean.
There is a visible recording indicator light.
The battery life is okay and will give you about 40 minutes of recording. Of course we always want more but the batteries are cheap enough that you can have 10.
The nature of action cameras tend to clip videos into segments. This one does 10 minute segments.
The audio quality is abysmal at best, but usable and there is no gain control .
At this price point it is much more than I expected and I’m quite happy with it.
A cmera aparenta ser de excelente qualidade. Tivemos problema com o nmero de rastreio que foi enviado inicialmente, mas a empresa se disponibilizou em ajudar e enviou prontamente os dados corretos
I’ve had my Akaso Brave 7 LE for more than a month now, taking mostly videos around my backyard and attaching it my bike and taking several rides in and around my city. Here are my thoughts:
– It is much smaller than I expected, but very well-built. And, I really like the tripod screw.
– The video quality is very good at all resolutions that I tried. I use mostly 4k and 1080p.
– Image stabilization is good but not great. But, it is still very acceptable. I did consider getting a DJI Osmo Action or GoPro 8, but decided to go with the Akaso based on price and so many positive Youtube video reviews.
– The 20 MP image is very good, much, much better than I expected. (Note, photography has been my hobby for a long time, and I own several mirrorless cameras, so I believe than I am a good judge of image quality.)
– The camera adjusts well to changes in light from bright sun to shadow and back.
– The front facing screen seems to be nice to have, but is not that important to me as I am not a vlogger. However, when I am able to go on vacation again, I might want to try it. Also, I am terrible at taking selfies with my iPhone, and it was very, very easy to take a selfie with the Akaso.
– The touchscreen and the menu system works very well.
– Battery life is very good, plus it’s great that Akaso provides two batteries, and the charger. Plus, you can charge the battery in the camera. But, the micro-usb connection from the computer to the camera is not a data connection, so you cannot transfer any files from the camera to the computer.
– Although the wifi from the camera to an iPhone or iPad works well, it is very, very slow to transfer videos and photos. Typically, I just remove the micro SD card and insert it in my laptop, which is not a problem. I follow the same process with my DJI Spark drone.
– Finally, it would be nice to have indicator lights on the top of the camera. When I have the camera mounted on my bike’s handlebars, it’s hard to know when I’m recording or not. While the wriststrap does work to start or stop recording or to take a photo, you are still not sure what you’re doing unless you look at the screen at the back of the camera.
– In summary, I think this is a very good action camera for the money! The more I use it, the more I like it!
