This projector is what I needed in my life! It took me some time to set it up and prepare wall but my time was worth it. The image is absolutely amazing and I just wish I ordered this projector sooner. The image is sharp and ful of colour. It does not take a lot of space and it provides awesome experience as I can now watch my favourite movies projected on the full wall, making me feel like I am at the cinema. Love it!
Highly recommended!
Thank you for reading my review. I hope that you found it helpful.
This product was honestly in fit and excellent condition and the quality of this was fantastic as well as the image quality as you can see in the pictures furthermore the sound quality was good ease of use. This object is 100% worth to buy I really recommend this.
I liked the projector for the value it brings for the price. The brightness and clarity is really good. You have to spend 400 plus quid to get this from other brands. It was able to decode 4k video without any issues even though the actual projection quality is 1080p. The sound quality is impressive- you can play loud music. I always keeps it under 20 as I use it in my bedroom. You can adjust it in any direction of your choice without any issue. The auto focus feature and auto keystone correction is a life saver. You can also save the settings you like so that you don’t have to adjust it to your liking everytime you switch it on. Only downside is the processor and operating system. Even though it is android, it lacks the number of apps optimised to use on a projector/tv. The processor is also not that fast if you are looking for a snappy performance. But it was okay for me as I use firestick and use the hdmi port which is great.
Amazing picture and colour quality, clear, clean and bright. Auto focus feature is brilliant, it calculate the area by itself and set the resolution accordingly. WiFi connection is great no need the cables like old projectors. There are many inbuilt apps, like YouTube, Netflix, and Prime. It’s a personal cinema entertainment. Remote control is easy to use and navigate. lastly the sound quality is good as well, can connect the Bluetooth sound bar for extra sound, but for me sound performance is more than enough. Easy to setup and use.
The projector came securely packed with detailed instructions and accessories. The projector is quite compact and lightweight making it easy to transport. It is a nifty little device that is easy to use and works as expected.
The remote has proven pretty handy and is easy to use. Setting up the projector was straightforward and I was done in no time. In addition, the projector comes with a built-in Android system that provides me with over 5000 applications. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity which is great. It connects easily to my mobile and provides endless hours of entertainment.
Furthermore, I can easily adjust the angle of the projector with the swivel and the bottom. The auto-focus and Auto Keystone correction work pretty well and give me crisp and clear images every time. Me and my kids enjoy our movie night together with vivid visuals and high-definition images, giving us the best movie experience.
All in all, this is a well-made projector that has a solid build and does look durable as well. It works perfectly and without any problem. Also, it comes with a handy lens cleaning kit. I am satisfied with it and would gladly recommend i
This smart projector has revolutionized my home cinema experience. The 4K resolution and Android 9.0 compatibility deliver stunning visuals and seamless streaming of my favorite content. The rotating bracket adds flexibility for adjusting viewing angles, and the WiFi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity options ensure smooth integration with other devices. However, I’ve noticed that the object avoidance feature can be inconsistent at times, requiring manual adjustments to prevent obstructions. Nevertheless, it’s a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their home entertainment setup with immersive visuals and smart capabilities.
I have been looking for reliable projector while on trips and holiday, and this meet the my needs, since it’s small and portable allowing for easy transport and great picture resolution. The product itself arrived very well packaged and was free from crack or any scratches, it was very straightforward and easy to set up in just around 5-10 minutes ready to use.
For me it was important that the projector had very specific features and was able to perform the way I need it to. The main feature which is great for me, it being Android device allowing to acess and install many different apps and using different features to enhance or stream better quality video, making it really useful particularly when using on 4k material, I am very happy with the picture and audio quality this produces, as it allows for truly cinematic atmosphere.
The Auto-focus and picture correction feature is also amazing, as often with previous projectors I had to manually adjust picture quality and settings, where as with this projector, it works like a dream it detects picture distortion and adjusts to correct it within 5 seconds, which is very quick and useful when using it. This particularly useful when using it on different pictures surfaces, it can also be used on a dry wall, although the picture quality isn’t best, but nevertheless it is can be used anywhere, so it does give you the option if wanted to use it that way.
I am pleasantly surprised with the overall performance of this projector, it fully meets my needs and it is exactly what I was looking for in terms of portability, it fits a suitcase easily and can be taken anywhere you want on holidays or business trips.
These Chinese projectors are getting better and better. I remember a few years ago when they were little plastic boxes that could barely throw out any light whereas now the technology has come a long way.
The swivel effect is really nice on this, makes it very easy to move it up and down and the auto focus is superb. Makes it worth the money over a cheaper projector. I’ve got one of the cheaper version of these and the without the focusing I don’t think I’ll ever be using it again.
Built in Android is very nifty, when you can’t be bothered connecting up your phone or whatever you’ve got apps ready to go. Nice to put something on just for some background noise.
Connects well, overall can’t complain. I will hopefully keep upgrading and at some point but the more premium versions that are coming ou

User-Friendly Features: The Auto Focus and Auto Keystone correction take the guesswork out of setting up the projector. It’s incredibly user-friendly, and the obstacle avoidance feature is a thoughtful addition that makes it suitable for any space, big or small.
Great performance at all angles
Value for money 10 out of 10
I’ve wanted a projector for some time so that I can elevate movie night by putting the movie on the ‘big screen’ rather than watching it off a little one. This projector caught my eye because of the colour depth, portability and the sleek design that it had.
In the box is the projector, a HDMI cable, an AV cable, a Cleaning kit for the lens, a power cable and a remote. I was going to be using this via HDMI, as I have got quite a nice audiovisual setup already. However, the included apps on the device were quite useful if you are going to use this as a stand alone unit.
The image quality of this has been very impressive. Even in bright light, it’s been easily visible because the colour contrast that the unit is able to make but also the intensity of the light. The image is extremely sharp at 1080p and I have watched one film in 4k which I was blown away by.
I’ve combined this unit with wireless HDMI connectors, allowing me. Allowing me to sit this on the ceiling without having to run lots of cables. The unit is quite light as the outer shell is mostly made of plastic, this means that it is highly portable because of the design. The legs are made of a folded metal which is durable.
The only downside to this unit is that once the lens gets dirty, it really does affect the image quality. The included cleaning kit is a nice addition because of this.
Having used this as a standalone unit whilst on the road, the Android 9.0 apps have been very useful. Being able to watch Netflix by just plugging the projector in and having a speaker connected to it has been super simple.
Having looked at and tested other Projectors like this at a similar price point. I have to say that the Hippus is a very good quality and value unit. The image quality is streets ahead of some of the others at this price and the build quality is excellent. The portability has been super useful as its been taken on a road trip already. 5/5!
The picture quality is sharp and clear, and it handles different lighting conditions well. I appreciate the built-in apps, which make it easy to stream my favorite shows and movies. The auto-focus and keystone correction features are very convenient, saving time on setup. The sound quality is decent, but I prefer using external speakers for a better experience
I spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to set this projector up, logging in to apps like NetFlix and failing to log into others like Channel 4 and iPlayer because the apps software was out of date. I managed to get Netflix and Disney plus to work but couldn’t get Prime video to work. I tried screen mirroring from my iPad, which worked but the apps won’t play videos if the screen is mirrored. Eventually I realised I didn’t need to waste all that time logging into apps, I could just plug my NowTV stick into the side of the projector and watch programmes perfectly well off that.
The projector itself is ease to use. It has an autofocus function so you just point it at the wall and it can sense the size of the space available and focus appropriately. I found there was always a bit of softness around the edges, but was happy enough with the quality of the picture.
The sound plays out of the top of the projector which is good because it’s behind your head so you can hear it clearly. However the projector does make a loud whirring noise when working so you have to turn the sound up quite loud to compensate for that.
I’m looking forward to having some family cinema evenings with this projector.
I had always wanted to try an LED projector after having many “bulb” varieties over the years.
Out of the box it is a very nice, small and well built unit. It has a c. 2m power cable, which was just about ok, but would have been nice to have had 5m to negate the need for an extension cable.
The remote control was NOT supplied with batteries, so had to acquire a couple of AAA cells, but once installed, setup was initially straightforward, until the screen movement with the remote changed from a “tab” style of movement to a “cursor”, which had to be moved around the screen with the Left/Right/Up and Down arrows – what a pain!
Once this had changed, I could not see any way of changing it back, so setting date and time to UK was a real pain, as was trying to login to Amazon Prime – I gave in after 7 characters, as I lost the will to continue.
I tried it with YouTube, and the picture was great and the sound surprisingly good for its size and price.
Missings for me were UK streaming services which I could not find a way to get to, as they were not in the Apps List. I did not delve into the browser to see if I could get to them that way, as the cursor movement was just too painful.
Initially I was a little worried by the fan noise, but after a few minutes it became a background noise that did not distract in any way.
Overall, picture quality and autofocus were great, sound ok, but the remote in non-tab mode is useless. It needs a wireless keyboard to operate, which I do not have.
If you have a wireless keyboard, and happy to use it as a dumb projector for streaming sources not supported (ie. Via HDMI etc) it is a great device and very good value.
This is a decent projector but doesn’t excel at anything. The picture quality is quite good, but as you’d expect the sound without an additional speaker isn’t great. The projector does get rather warm and the fan isn’t the quietest either.
Set up was ok but the firmware is a little clunky.
I’m quite impressed with this projector. It comes well packed. Projector is good looking and has good weight to it. The large lense has covering cap to protect it from scratches when not in use.
This projector easily connects to our WIFI and we can download some android friendly apps if we need any. There is browser to search for things.
I’ve tried it like 3-4 times, on the kitchen ceiling, in dark room, for watching football, movie. I watched lots of videos on YouTube as well.
This projector doesn’t support screen mirroring which is quite disappointing. I also couldn’t pair my Samsung s24 ultra via Bluetooth with this projector as it didn’t ‘see’ it at all even if my phone is visible to other devices. So that’s another disappointment.
The picture is very good, colourful and the sharpness we can easily adjust if it doesn’t do well enough automatically. It comes with easy to use remote control. 2x AAA batteries are not included for the remote control.
The sound is really loud on max setting but obviously it’s not the large speaker for better quality sounds. It is quite clear but with bass trapped inside. It’s not that bad, I expected this sound any way.
If this projector easily connects with my phone or at least had screen mirroring then I would give it 5* but for now, only 3.5 lifted to 4, for the image quality.
I’ve been on the lookout for a decent projector for quite a while. You often find that they’re very expensive, and I was planning to use it very infrequently for movies/photography projects, so I wasn’t willing to spend a lot of money. I noticed this, and it seemed like a decent option, so I plumped for it. I’m so glad that I did. It’s a really decent projector for the money.
It’s easy to set up, the autofocus is pretty impressive actually, and it will level the image even if you’re projecting something at a strange angle.
HDMI output is seamless, but one of the aces up the projector’s sleeve is that it’s got built-in smart functionality. You can download various apps, including Youtube and Netflix, and happily watch your favourites.
One thing to note is that it gets really hot when it’s in operation. The sound isn’t fantastic either, but that’s easy to get around with a decent set of speakers.
This projector is a bargain, if you’re looking for one, this might be the projector for you!
I have no previous experience of one of these and have not been disappointed, at all.
This is s sturdily made projector, with LED light source. The casing is metal, not cheap plastic. I was concerned, to begin with, about the initial set up, but it is very intuitive. The small booklet provided comes with instructions, and whilst useful, it Is not essential reading.
The product is well packaged and comes with everything you will need to start using projector, though the 240V power cable could be being longer. The projector can be set on a tabletop or ceiling mounted to display on the wall or screen. The projector hinges off the sturdy bracket and can be tilted at the preferred angle. I have set this up in my bed room and lying in bed, the images are displayed on the ceiling, this so easy on you neck and spine as you are not sat up with multiple pillows overarching your neck.
I have so far used this to watch Netflix and other such apps, it is great. The sound quality is not bad (but certainly loud enough), though could do with more bass. There are audio output sockets so you could run this through a decent sound system for that cinematic experience, I’m sure, though I have not done this myself. There are also two USB sockets, one AV , one for headphones as well as one HDMI socket.
The image size can be up to a whopping 200″- that is BIG! The projector has autofocus, but you can fine tune this using the remote (needs x2 AAA batteries, not supplied). Even with the larger image (project at a greater distance to your screen/ wall to increase the size of the picture), the images remain sharp
Another really interesting feature in the settings function is the ability to square up trapezoidal images, it is ordinarily, very difficult to get a perfect rectangle when displaying images from a projector unless the screen/ wall is perfectly parallel to the projector lens. The software in this allows correction of distorted images. There are other (simple to use) feature like inversion and reflection of the images, though I am not quite sure why you would want to do this.
You can mirror images/ videos from your mobile/ tablet onto the screen via the projector too, though I have not used this facility yet. Has usual Google search engines so you can read stuff on the internet too, though the remote makes typing tedious. I am not sure if a simple keyboard can be connected, there is the Bluetooth connectivity function, so I would imagine this is possible.
A really solid product, if you are looking for a multimedia product, you will not be disappointed with this, 5 stars.
As a tech enthusiast who craves innovation and seamless entertainment experiences, I recently had the pleasure of testing the HIPPUS Smart Projector 4K, an impressive piece of technology that promises to revolutionize home cinema setups.
The first thing that caught my eye about the HIPPUS Smart Projector 4K was its sleek and modern design. The grey color scheme exudes sophistication, making it a stylish addition to any living space. The inclusion of a rotating bracket adds versatility, allowing users to easily adjust the projector’s position for optimal viewing angles.
Equipped with a native 1080P resolution and 4K support, this projector delivers stunningly sharp and vibrant visuals. Whether I was watching movies, playing games, or streaming content, the picture quality remained consistently impressive. The auto focus and keystone correction features ensured that images were always crisp and distortion-free, regardless of the projection surface or angle.
Despite its advanced features, the HIPPUS Smart Projector 4K remains surprisingly portable. Its compact size and lightweight design make it easy to transport between rooms or take on the go for outdoor movie nights or presentations. The inclusion of a carrying case further enhances its portability, providing added protection during travel.
This arrives in a full colour printed handled box measuring approx 24cm x 25cm x 22.5cm.
It would be easy to wrap if you planned to gift it as a housewarming, Christmas or Birthday present.
Inside the box, the projector, instruction manual and a small box containing the cables, remote and a couple of cleaning accessories are all cushioned into top and bottom foam inserts so they arrive in perfect condition.
Instruction manual looks chunky, but is in half a dozen different languages so not really that big – the writing is tiny though.
I already have a projector which we use from time to time and I’ve been considering switching from a regular TV to a projector when my current TV packs up as we so rarely use it nowadays.
This isn’t good enough to use as a full time replacement, but the image quality is not bad at all in a dark room.
It has a built in autofocus which does a very good job, but you can also tweak it with the remote or go into the settings to adjust it and make a few other changes.
In daylight, this is not really useable – even in the evening if it’s summer as you can barely see the image if there is light coming in even through closed curtains.
In the dark, the picture is pretty good even when it’s filling a wall of my living room with a fairly sharp image and pretty good, but not quite there sometimes (a lot of greens seemed desaturated in scenes I know they should be popping) colours.
What lets this down is the sound quality which is very mediocre.
It can go loud, but it’s not great sound.
For a movie night when it’s actually pitch black in the room, this is fine.
I did notice that within 20 minutes usage time it had got fairly hot though, so I am not sure how it will fair in warmer weather as it is fairly cool right now.
For the price, this is very good, with an easy set up – I plugged it in, connected it to the internet and was able to watch YouTube, log into Amazon Prime Video and Netflix within minutes, plus the remote is easy to operate if you have 2 x AAA batteries (not included) for it.
I wish the remote was branded, as it looks like so many other small remotes so will be easy to get confused if you have a lot of them.
At it’s current price point it seems pretty good value, but it’s not good enough to really replace a tv.
For the cost, this HIPPUS Smart Projector has a lot of features, and is a great alternative to a much more expensive 4K TV. Don’t get me wrong… I wouldn’t get rid of my 65″ LG OLED, but that cost nearly 10 times the price of this projector. Plus this HIPPUS has the advantage of being more portable and suited for different environments. Also unlike my TV, it is something you won’t go into panic mode with every time someone walks near it while eating or drinking something, or even just standing to close to that screen. Asides from that portability and price, you also get autofocus, Wi-Fi (including 5G) and Blu-tooth connectivity, built in apps (powered by Android), a rotating stand, and a bunch of other things to explore.
It all comes in a pretty compact and not that heavy body, that is easy to move around and to set up or store when in use (or not). Pretty much all aspects of the projector were easy to set up and get up and running. I did have a problem with audio log when connecting to a Blu-tooth speaker, but that seems to have sorted itself (if it doesn’t, there are settings to tweak). I like that the bracket rotates the way it does, it reminds me of pan and tilt, and makes screen adjustments easy and quick. The picture quality is very good for the price, you just need to be aware of where you are projecting it to and viewing angles to get the very best from it. All it takes is a bit of practice with the projector, and I also liked it offers HDMI connectivity as well as the ability to stream wireless.
I couldn’t get many of the apps to work correctly or even download. It claims that “over 5000 applications” are available, but some are not available in my region or seem to be no longer available. As far as I could tell most of the “main” ones are supported. It will depend how you are wanting to connect this projector and how you are wanting to steam. I imagine and hope this issue could be fixed with an update at a later date. Also, the autofocus isn’t perfect – but it still works well 8/10 times. I’ve found it depends on the scene and how fast things are moving and changing.
While I’ve had a few issues, I couldn’t really find anything major to fault. For the price, I think its a fair compromise, especially when most aspects work as expected most of the time, and you get a lot of good features.
Literally feature packed – I guess nowadays with the advancement of technology what this little or I should say smaller form factor home projector has is the norm.
Auto keystone, adjust the picture skew automatically and auto focus. Has wifi6 compatibility and android 9.
The onboard speaker is adequate, it’s not going to fill the room with audio and effect but it’s enough to take your mind off the fan which is noticeable when first turned on but when you become drawn in to your media it soon disappears.
Image quality if quite good, plenty sharp in the middle, look towards the edges it does start to loose it slightly. You won’t really see it watching a film but if you’re reading text towards the edges that is when it is most noticeable.
Build is as expected in this price range, plastic body all round but the pivoting stand is made from steel/aluminium. This has a thread for you to mount on a tripod or ceiling mount and invert the image.
It’s not terribly bright as I mentioned before and it’s best to view in a darker room for that immersive feel. All in all not a bad little device and comes in at a price that you wouldn’t expect to have so many features. If you’re in the market for a project and budget is your obstacle, look no further …
I’m super-impressed with this projector. I can’t say I’ve owned a projector before but I’ve certainly used a few. This one is comprehensively specified and easy to use. Most importantly, it offers outstanding performance. I’ve also found myself pleasantly surprised by a number of clever touches.
Even on the wall, pictures are as sharp as Ultra HD images from BBC iPlayer ‘Planet Earth III’ on my LG TV. Colours are super-accurate too. Sound quality from the built-in speakers is adequate for general listening but you’d do best to connect an external speaker for hi-fi audio. The fan is fairly noisy but not obtrusive unless you’re sitting next to it.
Projection quality is superb, it works in daylit rooms without a problem, it’s got amazing image quality and a fantastic depth of colour and overall it’s a superb high spec projector at an affordable price point. Wouldn’t get anything of similar spec from top end suppliers without paying double the price.
Amazing value for money in my opinion.
I’ve had several projectors over the past few years which we usually use with our ‘outdoor cinema’ set up.
This one is much chunkier than I expected, but I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality.
The unit has a large stand which can be placed flat on a table or floor, however, I usually use a tripod to project the image onto a large (120″) screen, and I was happy that I was able to fit the footplate on this unit and have it securely mounted to the tripod.
It includes all the leads and accessories required, minus batteries for the remote.
It comes with an instruction booklet, but I found it was better to just have a play with it by scrolling through the settings.
I really like that you can download apps directly onto the projector but I did struggle to get some of them to play (Netflix app kept asking to update through Google play, which I couldn’t do, and Amazon Prime app wouldn’t play programmes, although Disney+ worked fine). There are 2 USB and 1 HDMI port, which I was able to plug my PlayStation and Sky Box into (individually). I also managed to connect my iPhone for screen casting, but note: most apps and subscription services won’t allow you to play their content in this way.
The picture quality is excellent, even in a fairly light room (see photos of images on near wall, ceiling and large wall, taken in living room during daytime, with blinds half down) and will be even clearer at night/in full darkness. The auto focus feature (which can be turned on/off) does a great job of making the picture clear when the unit is moved or the position adjusted, although this does sometimes need some tweaking to get perfect.
The internal fan is a little louder than my previous projector, but once the volume of a movie is playing, you can’t hear the fan (see video). The sound quality from the projectors built in speakers is actually very impressive, much better than I was expecting, but it can be further enhanced by connecting an external Bluetooth speaker to it, which I tried without any issues.
The image can be projected on a wall, ceiling or large screen and works with front or rear projection (select in settings).
Overall, I’m super pleased with this projector, and will be even more so, if I can figure out how to get all the entertainment apps to work directly without having to attach the HDMI lead.
All in all, this is an excellent quality projector for the price range.
