The Tens machine was quite easy to set up and scroll through the different programs. I like the fact you can adjust the time to what suits you, also you can lock the program so it doesn’t change if you accidently push another button by mistake.
It’s a very robust machine and thoughtfully designed.
There are plenty of pads so you can use them on several parts of your body at the same time.
There are a lot of cables to connect but once in place the device works well.
I’ve only had this 2 days but I feel its starting to make a difference and helping to relieve my sciatica symptoms .
I assume going off the positive reviews it would be really good. It actually is QUITE good to be fair. The operation to use it is just silly, unnecessarily complicated. The tens function is not too bad, except the pads lose their stickiness far too quickly. Very quickly. It is going to cost me tons on bulk pads at the rate. The EMF function is ok. It could do with being a little stronger, but good enough. Not too bad at all for the price. The problem mainly is with the pads. Outside of that factor, which is worth considering. But the machine itself is fairly powerful. Pity about the issue with the pads, as otherwise, it is a good device.
A fantastic device, doing your shoulders/Neck at same Time as your Back is just superb, a super device, for my aching body lol, you can feel a difference after you have used i
Having used a Med-Fit Tens Machine for a long time, I was fed up of spending. ‘ on batteries
Every month more batteries for the landfill.
Then by an happy accident I stumbled upon a rechargeable Tens Machine, how long have these been a secret.
This is an excellent quality Tens Machine, please read the instructions, once you learn you are all set, it’s so easy to use, so many cycles to choose from, four adapter leads, you don’t have to use all four, you can just use two, it’s your preference, there’s a timer function up to 90 minutes which is great for night time users.
The Buttons you’ll need to know
Switching on – The Top button on the side press for a couple of second or switch on and off you go
The button under locks the machine, press again to unlock a padlock shows on your screen next to the battery icon.
M is Modes –
T is Timer
+ is Strength
– is to Reduce
The middle button changes from A to B channels or both
You can’t hold the buttons down you have to press and click over and over, it would be good if you could just press and it takes you quicker to your chosen cycle. I choose option 4 or 15 I use level 20
I bought this as a friend at work swears by them. Got in one day with Prime. Easy to to set up once it`s charged. Whacked the pads on either side of my knee as that`s where my problem is and gave it a whirl with the settings. I started low as recommended and built up the pulses until I could feel it doing something.
I`ve had it working for about 2 hours now, no change in battery life and pulsing away very well. Normally sitting for a while means standing up and walking very painful, or stretching my leg. Of course this won`t cure my damaged knee, but it does help massively, the standing and walking pain has just about gone. Amazing bit of kit and well worth reading up about before you buy and understand how it works.
Firstly, a basic understanding of anatomy is really helpful when using a TENS machine. I read lots of reviews or hear people say that they don’t work, but if they aren’t correctly placed, relief will be minimal to none. There’s some really useful colour charts online to help with mapping the best place for the padsdon’t write off TENS machines immediately if you find it doesn’t help, as practice makes perfect.
For me, I’ve been using one for years, and have bought this one as an upgrade/replacement. I’m really impressed with the power, settings and small size of the unit. The level of pain relief it gives me avoids the use (and side effects of) the opioids I’m prescribed, and gives me the respite I need to relax. I have a genetic disability with a chronic pain chaserso having this unit in my tool kit for regular use is indeed money well spent.
Remember though ppla tiny bit of research about where to put the pads really helps.
I’m medically trained and have years of experience with these devices, but the instructions that come with it aren’t sufficient on their own for a newbie (in my opinion) I promise you though5 minutes on Google and you’ll have the basics down on which nerves you’re wanting to stimulate and where they are. Good luck
I have multiple spinal issues including discs that are prolapsed and/or ruptured, spinal degeneration in which some of my vertebra have eroded. Plus tearing and fraying within my hip capsule and fibromyalgia and arthritis to boot. On bad days even the multitude of prescription meds does nothing to alleviate pain. Out of desperation and a willingness to give anything a go I purchased this.
Size wise it’s no bigger than the old iPhone 4, it’s lightweight, and doesn’t require a PhD to operate.
It is also rechargeable with a good battery life meaning it can be taken with you and used discretely whilst out and about.
I was extremely sceptical at first and didn’t hold out much hope of it making any difference. Boy was I wrong! After using this for just 3 days on my back I’ve actually slept the whole night through without being disturbed by pain for the first time in years. As for the more widespread fibro pain, it offers relief whilst using it. In fact it’s quite relaxing and the relief so far is lasting a good couple of hours. What it’s like during a major flare I can’t say yet and only time will tell but I am hopeful.
It’s also fantastic at relieving the dreaded restless leg syndrome that comes alongside the fibro and I no longer have to become a contortionist and twist myself into different positions every few seconds.
Overall this machine is so far proving to be an absolute godsend. My only regret is that I didn’t purchase one sooner.
I was advised to try a tens machine for lower back pain. I fairly often, about three or four times a year, seem to get a lower back muscle spasm that locks my back and I have to rest it for several days before I can bend over or sit comfortably again. I looked at several makes and than came across this Auvon model that seemed to be much cheaper than rivals but with just as much equipment and decent reviews and decided to try it.
I just did my back again and I have only used it for a few days but it has made a significant impact on my back and seems to speed up the recover time. With a fixed menu and everything controlled by a couple of buttons, it is very easy to use. As I said, it is well equipped with leads and pads, charges direct from a USB port and the battery lasts well and seems to do the job!
I can’t offer any view on the EMS side yet but it was a nice to have just in case.
My only criticism would be the manual is scant on detail and I went to a youtube video to see where it would be best to place the electrodes, but I would probably have checked out a couple of videos anyway.
Very Happy with my purchase.
This is a great little TENS machine. My first experience of TENS was many years ago with a unit that took AA alkaline batteries, so the built in rechargeable battery instantly put this as a brilliant example of how to do it. The unit is compact (about the size of an iPhone 4S) and charges over MicroUSB (cable included). There are a number of different programmes/modes grouped by body part (i.e. shoulder, knees, back) that effectively equate to different stimulation patterns (I don’t think there would be any issue with using a back programme with a shoulder though). You are able to set your intensity, time and programme very easily with the buttons.
I’m yet to use it with the EMS function, but if the intensity of the TENS programmes are anything to go by it should give a pretty decent experience, although I think it is best to treat this as a predominantly analgesic tool as the pain relief functionality works really well.
I use this product daily and it really does help me out with the pain I that have been experiencing for the last few months.
One time the pain was so bad that I had to see my doctor, only to be told that the usual waiting time for a physiotherapist is about 18 months, ouch! Obviously couldn’t wait so long so I stumbled upon this little miracle machine here. It is very easy to use, the battery lasts for many sessions (I think on average I do about 10X 30min treatments on both channels before the battery indicator goes one notch down out of three) and charging is quickly done as well. It is also really simple to use, my only niggle would be that you can’t go back and forth with the programs, the M mode selector only moves forward, so you can’t return to previous program but have to click 20 times instead to do the loop. So maybe just an idea for future model, however so minor I really can’t deduct stars for this.
Also, I do on some occasions use the EMS function as well and within a month I do notice firmer abs, so not only is my pain practically gone, but I look better as well, what a magical machine!
Without a doubt I do recommend this product, and their customer service is flawless as I received a warm welcome email after receiving the product, very happy customer here!!
It took me a few times to get used to the sensation so the first couple of times I had it too low. Each time I went up a level made me startle and I thought it would hurt, but then I realised its just the initial change of intensity then it’s okay. Different parts of the body respond differently. So there’s a fair bit of testing to start with, but now I’m quite used to it I really like it for both the sensation and pain relief.
Great variety of options with some modes feeling like a massage. I still haven’t found a favorite setting as I like trying them all. Haven’t tried the EMS yet as I’m mainly using for pain so far.
Battery lasts a very long time without charging.
I’ve been using it when I would otherwise take some codeine, in the hope that I can get by without the meds. It works in that respect, in that it reliefs the pain enough for me to not need codeine.
Great customer service. I signed up for the extended warranty and got free pads. I also asked for more information about the settings and was sent that quickly too. I feel very confident that if something went wrong they’d quickly sort it out.
I has no idea a machine like this was so affordable and wish I’d had one earlier.
I love this TENS machine.. I have a bulging disc that is causing seriously bad sciatica.. I cannot sit or lay down for long before I am in agony with cramping nerve pain down my left side and getting out of bed is impossible due to the pain when trying to move. As my pain is widely spread all down my left side from my back to the ankle I thought I would try this AUVON TENS 4 output machine due to it having 4 outlets so I can spread the pads out. And it is brilliant! I can’t believe how much it has helped me. I have been using it for a month now and I use it as soon as I get into bed and throughout the night. And it helps get me off to sleep and eases the pains in the morning when I wake up so I can get out of bed much better.. I particularly like program 3 but there are 24 to chose from and you can have 2 different programs running at same time as the first 2 outlets allow you to do one program and the second 2 outlets lets you run another. It is so easy to use, I can operate it with my eyes closed now, which I do very often in the middle of the night! It’s as small as a mobile phone and the cables are long enough so can reach any part of the body without tugging. It has a locking function so you can’t accidentally power up too high as the highest setting is way above what I can take and the battery really lasts.
So as you can see I cannot praise this little machine enough. It really does help me. Having seen how happy I am with mine my partner has also brought himself one.
Had used someones cheaper TENS previously and went looking for my own. Opted to get this one for the extra EMS features and paid a little more for the Quad channel (2×2 channels) just for the sake of covering future needs as the cost wasn’t much more.
Firstly, it’s noticeably better than the cheaper one I tried (which was around 15 cheaper) and the interface is slightly better. It’s also much smaller (like an old small iPhone) and of course easily rechargeable. The pads also seem to be of a better quality. Though to be fair, the cheaper one worked just as well for the available settings it had. I’m still pleased I opted for this brand vs the generic one though.
Pros – small, light, more settings than you probably need but probably easy to operate even for someone not tech savvy. Plenty of pads that seem to be good quality. Battery life is excellent and it’s rechargeable, but you’ll get hours of use off a charge anyway. Light enough that you could *possibly* get away with dropping it on a hard surface.
Cons. The backlight only has one setting and that’s very bright. Compounded by the fact it’s dark diagrams and text on a white background it can be glaring in a dark room. It’s a shame it can’t be dimmed or colours inverted to a night mode. However, the light will go off after a short time if no buttons are pushed even if in operation so it’s not too bad.
All of the programs have to be cycled through with one button. An up, down, left, right, button array would’ve made the experience a bit smoother. Even if only to separate TENS and EMS. But it does make for a very easy to use interface. One button for time, one button for channel select, one button for program select and up/down for intensity
Registering the product to extend the warranty is easy and currently there are also free pads offered if registering.
I was also advised the warranty becomes lifetime if I show evidence of me leaving a review. I would’ve done so anyway and it has no bearing on the content of my review (they did not state it must be favourable or anything untoward).
I struggle with back and ankle problems and see a chiropractor, my mid back get’s stuck and in turn causes muscle problems. Often the muscular problem is delayed rather than instant, it can be triggered by activities such as exercise, DIY or lifting heavy objects it does not trouble me during the day but will suddenly be a problem at night! I don’t know if its linked but I also have restless ankles, again its more of a delayed issue. Even on a normal day without demanding actives I have these issues so most days it’s a problem.
Unfortunately its quite disruptive to my night’s sleep and for many years has meant getting as little of 3 hours a night sleep, also when I am asleep I very rarely get a deep sleep. I have tried many techniques before bedtime to try and relax my muscles to help with this, stretching, massage, ice, heat, foam rolling, trigger point and in all cases I can go to bed and feel comfortable for a short while but not long enough to get to sleep or will fall asleep and be woken up by it, at this point sometimes it can really annoy me as I just can’t get comfortable.
I’m surprised I took so long to try tens as I have tried most other things long before now, I really do find it help’s and provides a long enough lasting effect to allow me to get some sleep, occasionally I may wake up and need to use if on my ankles as I would not usually do anything on them before bedtime but then all I need is 5 minutes one pad on each ankle and it resolves them problem and makes them feel relaxed. I have found on my back its much more effective to leave it on one setting for the duration rather than keep changing, I have even fell asleep during the day with it on.
As far as the device itself, it feels sturdy, well made and of good quality, the screen is big and clear to understand and battery life is good. Having 4 outputs you could use up to 8 pads at a time, so far the first set of pads I have bee using I have used 30 times and they still feel sticky.
I have not tried EMS yet but intend to do so as potentially it could help train my core without the activities involved which give me the muscle problems at night.
If you are looking for a tens unit I would recommend as the quality for the price is good and you can extend the warranty by registering.
