This has worked well for me split my Samsung Note 20 over two displays. I can connect to a projector and a Screen which makes it so much easier to use the built in Samsung DeX feature for presentations. The hub works well, I just wish it supported PD for the longer presentation. It really does drain my phone battery though
This adapter lets me connect my USB-C laptop to two HDMI monitors at the same time. It supports a stunning 4K resolution at 60Hz on one monitor, great for high-resolution tasks like design or video editing. The second monitor can run at 4K resolution at 30Hz, which is good for multitasking and keeping an eye on different things at once. This adapter works flawlessly with my Windows laptop and a MacBook Pro. And, it uses the Thunderbolt 3 port on my laptop, which means a super-fast and reliable connection.
This is a metal-cased USB-C to two-port HDMI adapter.
Having reviewed Avedio Links gear in the past I expected decent quality, and indeed this appears to be up to their usual standard.
When plugged into a USB-C port Windows doesn’t detect this device at all. This is because the HDMI ports use the “DisplayPort Alternate Mode” feature of the USB-C standard, so Windows doesn’t detect them, it just magically adds any connected monitors to your available list of monitors, without telling you how they’re plugged in. This is only if computer supports it. My Lenovo laptop recognised it and connected two extra monitors through to the Intel UHD onboard graphics chip (giving me a total of five screens as I had a docking station in the laptop’s other port), my old Asus PC (with a Radeon HD 6870 video card rather than onboard video) was having none of it.
If you need to connect an extra HDMI monitor or two to a modern USB-C equipped device, this is just the job.
I sometimes do sales/marketing presentations from my iPad Pro 3rd Gen as it’s just far more reliable than my Windows laptop (which has the tendency to not play ball just when I need it the most), and this works great for hooking it up to HDMI projector.
Due to the limitations of my iPad, I only have the option to output in the same screen resolution but that’s fine.
Having tested here at home, it outputs to dual monitors, both of which are just mirrored displays at the original screen resolution and aspect ratio of my actual iPad screen, and there’s been very minimal lag (if any).
It’s plug and play, no issues observed whatsoever.
I had to get this to connect my iPad up to a projector and that’s exactly what it did, the picture and sound quality are excellent and the connections are definitely firm and solid, I’m really pleased with it and would recommend i
Great adapter that enables me to connect my laptop to two screens and extend the displays so I can have different content on each screen. Works with no faffing – plug in and go. All good.
This has been a useful too for both outputing my phone to my tv and for expanding how many monitors i can connect to my laptop.
Picture quality seems good and the build quality off the accessory also seems good.
I recently bought a new PC which is capable of handling up to 4 separate displays. I don’t have four monitors but I do have two so the idea was to use this to give me a dual display. It worked a treat.
My PC has a couple of Thunderbolt 3 sockets so with the USB-C plugged into one of them and my monitors connected via HDMI I got what I wanted – a PC with two monitors. It all just happened as I hoped it would and the set up via Display Settings on windows 11 was just as fuss free.
The unit is well made, small and lightweight and it just works. At 25.99 it seems fairly priced given the quality and I am very happy to recommend it.
The 4K@60Hz USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter allows you to connect your USB-C enabled device to two HDMI monitors simultaneously, each supporting up to 4K resolution at 60Hz. This splitter is ideal for extending your desktop across two screens or mirroring content, making it suitable for multitasking, presentations, gaming, and more
This is a quality adapter that I am using on my windows laptop where I can have three screens with different content on them if you include the laptop screen. This is great for if you have too many windows on one screen, you can spread them across all three screens. A great price and very pleased with it.
I connected this splitter to the USB C port of my RTX 2080 graphics card (20xx series being the only NVidia series to have a display USB-C port) and then my 4k120 TV and 1440p60 monitor.
The HDMI splitter can feed up 4k60 to two separate displays. And sure enough, as shown in my pictures, my desktop output extended to both TV and Monitor at their highest resolutions and maximum 60hz frame rate. This is great.
However, while there is no latency on the monitor when I do any actions with the mouse and keyboard, there is almost a 1 second delay in seeing the movements and actions on the TV. I don’t know why this is but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
This is not really my main use for the splitter. but this was a good test of its maximum capabilities. My main purpose will be to use with my laptop and galaxy tablet to make presentations on dual screens and this has proven will do the job for me.
I’ve used this splitter to extend my display to my two monitors which will be its primary function when I’m gaming.
I haven’t yet noticed any latency or drops in connection and there doesn’t seem to be any issues with overheating.
Please note though that this splitter will mirror your screen and extend it if you are using windows.
For Mac users it won’t extend to two monitors in my experience, and for Android it will only mirror and not extend.
It also can’t be used with an iPhone as it has a lightening port.
The splitter is compact and has a small footprint. It does seem a little limited but it’s working well for my purposes and has been reliable so far.
In my opinion it’s fairly priced and I hope you find my review helpful.
The adaptor itself is fairly compact and provides ample space to connect two HDMI cables. On my Windows laptop it worked perfectly and was able to get three separate desktops running easily. Picture quality was good on the two screens attached to the adaptor. On my MacBook Pro 13 M1 when you connect two screens these are mirrored with each other. Not so much a problem with ethics adaptor my with MacOS itself. Overall, a very easy way to get multiple screens hooked up to a Windows laptop.
Super useful dongle – there’s not much to say here except it worked out of the box, first try with my Macbook pro. I plugged in two of my monitors with HDMI into the female portion of this dongle and plugged it into a USBC port in my Macbook Pro and voila – it works! No flickering or problems displaying 4K on one and 1080p on the other.
Pretty well made dongle, think it’s brushed aluminum. Compact, think it’s a bit dear for what it is though but on its merits and functionality it’s A*.
This has been a useful too for both outputing my phone to my tv and for expanding how many monitors i can connect to my laptop.
Picture quality seems good and the build quality off the accessory also seems good.
In all a useful little adapter.
This USB C to HDMI Splitter is ideal and just what I was after. My laptop has two USB C ports for both charging and data transfer as well as two USB ports. This meant I could still power my laptop using one USB C port whilst the splitter was in the other.
This adapter lets you either extend your desktop or duplicate it, I wanted to be able to extend my desktop to two external monitors as well as using my laptop screen as a third display.
The adapter itself is very compact so it fits easy in a laptop case but I tend to just keep it on my office desk as that is where my external monitors are.
Overall, it is a good adapter that did exactly what I wanted and I like that it takes up very little space on my desk and simply hides out of sight under my laptop mount/stand.
This device works well when having limited display ports on your laptop. Using one of the USB-C ports, you can connect two monitors and use your laptop screen as a 3rd. This works in either an extended or mirrored mode and does what is needed. The quality is mid range with a brushed steel body which is good however the rest has a plastic feel whereas many decent connections these days have a braided, stronger cable. That said, it doesn’t impact quality although we will have to see about longevity. All good though.
Good little adaptor, nice and compact for throwing in your laptop bag.
The listing does make clear of course that you need to check your USB-C port carefully, and make sure you can use this hub without any problems. I’ve got a couple of laptops here… it will work on one, but not the other. That’s simply down to the limitations of the older laptop with a basic USB-C port.
On the one that IS up to spec, this adaptor works fine, although the refresh rate will basically halve if using 2 monitors. For what I do work-wise on the laptop, that’s no big issue.
Does what it claims so can’t complain at all.
On a quality/value-for-money basis… 4-Stars.
you can split your screen on two diffrent monitors using this splitter, works well from your laptop, easy to set up and easy to use, simple plug and play.
well made, I do recomend
Nice adapter here, as it takes a USB-C port and allows you to adapt it into not one, but TWO 4K/30Hz screens – yes, you get 3840p over each screen!
Additionally, if you need a higher refresh rate, then you can even use this adapter to output one monitor at 60Hz.
Most USB-C type ports will work (including the subset which are Thunderbolt 3 or 4 ports), so this should do the job for most users of modern machines with C-type video output ports on them.
With a ~10cm cable, comes in nice metal design too.
I recently purchased the Avedio Links 4K@60Hz USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter and it has been a game-changer for me. I use it to connect my Samsung Note 9 to my Sharp smart TV and I have been blown away by its performance.
The adapter connected seamlessly and meant that I could use my apps in HD picture on my TV. Not only that, but my phone changed the phone screen into a touchpad as soon as I connected the device, which means that I can now do anything I would normally do on my phone on my TV.
This adapter is similar to mirroring but a whole lot better. I only used it on one TV, but I know that it can be used on two TVs at the same time (extended). This makes it a really handy piece of kit that I am sure will be used for many different things in the future.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the Avedio Links 4K@60Hz USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter to anyone who wants to connect their phone to their TV. The picture quality is excellent and the performance is top-notch. It has truly made my TV viewing experience so much better.
The adapter comes wrapped in a plastic bag in a small cardboard box and includes an instruction leaflet, although this is fairly superfluous as it is plug and play.
The product itself feels reasonably well made with brushed aluminium casings for the main body and plug. The connecting lead feels a little cheap by comparison being just plastic covered rather than braided.
Where this device differs from many similar sized hubs is that it has two HDMI ports and no USB or PD socket. It is therefore solely a display adapter and is not capable of charging your device whilst in use. It will also draw its power from the host PC or phone, so the battery may discharge faster than normal when the device is in use.
The advantage of this adapter is that it can provide a 60Hz refresh rate when used with a single monitor at 4K, as opposed to the 30Hz refresh rate often seen elsewhere. This can help reduce flicker in the display. If two monitors are used at the same time, the rate drops to 30Hz on each monitor. The device performed impeccably during testing. I tested it with a Samsung S10 phone, both with and without the Dex desktop. The device remained reasonably cool in operation and showed no sign of any issues.
Overall this is an ideal device if you need a higher refresh rate to avoid flicker.
Whilst I love my MacBook Air, there are times when you just need a bigger screen, for instance, sharing videos and photos at friends and family’s homes, or in my case, presenting a presentation in-front of your ever critical work colleagues.
So whilst we have a ‘huge’ display panel in the briefing room, until now, its been a case of everyone looking over each other’s shoulders, trying to follow whatever is happening on the laptop screen.
This 2 in 1 USB-C to Dual HDMI, is absolutely perfect for my needs. Simple plug into the USB-C port, and the screen is automatically extended onto the larger display, which is great if you want something displayed on one screen, whilst you have your notes on another, or a simple ‘settings’ selection, and you can ‘mirror’ what’s on your laptop to 2 other displays.
The HDMI feels sturdy, with an almost all alloy construction, and there is just enough USB-C cable length, that it allows it to bend slightly, without taking up too much space in your laptop bag.
I have only just realised that it also works with my iPhone 15 pro, which is another game changer, as I will no longer need to take my laptop into the briefing room, and can simply play the presentations directly from my phone.
Absolutely love this little device, more than happy to recommend it.
