Having got fed up with cable issues making CarPlay unusable (slightly loose USB connector on my phone), I looked for a wireless adapter. Most of the known brand options seemed quite expensive, so it was a case of looking at budget options and see if the reviews sounded believable. It looks like I picked well. It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’m pleasantly surprised. It took a couple of attempts to pair it but, once that was sorted it just worked. The USB lead is only short, but it happens to fit in a little cubby hole in my car, so not a problem, and you could always buy a USB extension lead if needed. The sound quality is at least as good as the car stereo it’s plugged into and, once the connection is established, it’s completely stable. It occasionally takes a bit longer to reconnect on startup, maybe the best part of a minute, but it always gets there. It also has a much longer bluetooth range than the car stereo itself – I realised yesterday that I was 25 metres away from the car, with my phone still in my pocket, and the music was still playing.
All in all, I’m very happy with it, particularly for less than 40 quid.

Product is smaller than anticipated and actually has a removable USB C cable. Connected 1st time via BT and WiFi, displayed my S24 output on my Skoda Kodiaq screen which is still responsive.
Does not have any perceptible audio lag and re-connects within seconds when restarting the car.
I’ve only briefly tested in my driveway & have rated accordingly (I’d like to ensure steering wheel controls and voice commands work, there are no connection dropouts etc) .
I do plan a longer trip this weekend on busy roads to do more testing and will update this review & ratings if all goes well (which I expect it to!).

After a couple of weeks and longer journeys (2 to 4 hours), I still think this AA Adapter is great. I can confirm all steering wheel controls work.
My partner uses the car too, but not the AA adapter, which results in connection “foibles” that are probably the car preferentially trying to connect to previous handset via BT & not related to the AA Adapter at all. I’ve now worked out the sequence to make sure mine connects. It’s easy enough, but I would consider a future adapter that can accommodate multiple connections if I ever need to buy a replacement. Review upgraded to 5 stars!

This was significantly cheaper than many simular items available on Amazon but I can’t fault it. It connected easily with our Renault ZOE, and works flawlessly. Very satisfied and great not having to plug the phone in.

Works flawlessly up to now, and very quick to automatically connect to my phone when I start the car.
I did get a little stuck for the installation, but what I had to do in the end was remove the Bluetooth connection I already had stored to my car. The device could then be discovered in my phone’s Bluetooth available connections list.

Have to pair up with Bluetooth and WiFi. Only takes a few minutes and you’re up and running. No lag or any issues, running podcasts and maps on android auto just fine. This is a bargain compared to some of the others out there.

This product is very good. It costs 20+ less than other similar products but does the job perfectly. I have been able to convert my Nissan Juke to wireless Android Auto and it only took a couple of minutes to do it. Initial tests show that it reconnects quickly when re-entering the car and the sound quality is just the same as a wired connection.

Works well on my Ford ecosport with no lag. Why didn’t Ford just integrate one into there system I will never know.
This little box was easy to set up, and joins when I get get into the car without needing to do anything as long as the Bluetooth on my phone is on it’s all good

Once it was in the USB it connected automatically with the car, Bluetooth connection with the phone was straight forward. Very quick connection when the car is started. Have it hidden in the car by sticking it to underside of the dash so CarPlay with no cables floating around in the car. Well pleased.

I was hesitant in purchasing, I was going to buy a more expensive one until I read the reviews.
I looked at the reviews for this product and seemed much better than the reviews on the well named brand that was double the cost.
It was extremely easy to set up to my phone and car play.
I have a iPhone 12 Pro, my car is a Hyundai Tucson 23 registration , it’s quick and works perfectly.
Extremely happy with my purchase .

i have this fitted to my cheapish aftermarket xtrons head unit, works great, very quick start up and 0 lag input, what i will say is i have another branded wireless adapter connected which was double in price to my expensive sony head unit in my other car and the lag input is just over 1 second, says it all really, great product and may even get another for the 2nd car.
I can also say it works on all Ford factory CarPlay head units, as I have tested this out on a few transit vans and the new mk4 focus

Plugged it into my 2017 Tiguan and after a few seconds carplay start screen appeared on cars screen – connected phone to device (via Bluetooth) and once connected CarPlay menu screen appeared on car and worked perfectly. Turned everything off and on again (and unplugged and re plugged device) and it all connected after a few seconds without any intervention.

Then tried it in my 2015 Audi TT (which has had software upgrade for CarPlay) and again, after a few seconds CarPlay start screen appeared and once ok’d, main CarPlay menu appeared. No hassle!

Only reason for 4 stars is longevity is unknown but hopefully that will not be an issue..!

This device is really good quality and so easy to pair. I think the sound quality is better than from the wire version also. Very tidy and connects instantly each time you start the ca

What a great little device. Easy to set up and use. Never have enough usb ports in the car so this is great. I have had no problem with connection and it is small so it doesn’t take up much space. I definitely recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy car only has usb c so tried to use this with a c to c cable and it does not power up. But if I use the supplied cable with an A to C adapter this works great. Very quick to reconnect on startup and works with all the dash buttons in my Mercedes EQB

Took me longer to unpack the box than it did to set it up! I didn’t read the instructions it was all self explanatory. Working in seconds. After initial set up, it just connects automatically. Nice sleek looking box, sound quality isn’t impaired. Really happy with it & the price was cheaper than others I’d been looking at.
