BOTSLAB True 4K Dash Cam Front and Rear, Night Vision Car Dash Cam with ADAS, Free 64 GB Micro SD Card, 2.4G/5G WiFi, 170°Wide Angle, Built-in GPS, 24/7 Parking Monitoring, Loop Recording
Device has a great sensor and produces clean clear recordings
The mounting and tilt/twist options are limited. If using the adhesive mount directly be very sure that you have the camera in the right place as only the camera tilt is changeable. I used the static sheet to mount the camera as this can be removed and reseated. It holds remarkably well and I have had no issues with it falling off over the past month.
The AI features are not that useful. The driver warnings cannot be turned off and these trigger on almost ever turn I make. Even from a junction. Forget navigating smaller roundabouts as you will receive a warning! Set the voice to Low or Off
I initially observed a few instances where the reported speed would be over 10 MPH while I was sitting stationary in a queue of traffic. That seems to have gone away for now.
Despite setting the units to MPH. KPH is still used in various parts of the app. Including the live and trajectory views. The app needs work but hopefully will improve.
There is a need for a desktop app. Reviewing the recordings on a phone is not a great experience
A good camera in an odd shaped package with an application that needs some serious attention to fix the small details. Forget the AI stuff. It is just not that well implemented so far
I purchased this camera while it was on offer and even though I am not using the rear camera it is still good value at the price I paid.
I recently purchased this 4K dash cam and it’s been a great experience, the 4K resolution allows for clear recording of driving, both during the day and at night. The wide angle lens is great, capturing more of the road, and giving me peace of mind while driving.
I had a minor problem in setting it up, sent an e-mail and had a reply within hours, problem sorted, brilliant after sales, both front and rear cameras are so clear. Very pleased.
I am extremely impressed with this product. It was incredibly easy to install, and the camera quality is truly superb. The unit as a whole is user-friendly, and the AI features provide a sense of safety while on the road. I must acknowledge the exceptional customer service that accompanied this brilliant product.
I’ve been using this dash cam for a while, the picture quality is excellent. The 4K resolution captures the plates perfectly, and also the night vision is outstanding, providing clear recordings even in poor lit conditions.
It is very easy to install, the image quality is 4k, and the video viewing on the APP is very clear. The ADAS function that comes with the dash cam can remind me to pay attention to driving safety and is very accurate. I like this function very much.
Was easy to attach to screen. You get plenty of wire too. From my old dash cam the technology that’s inside this one is much better. Every year they seen to bring out different features. Especially like with this one they have got the pedestrian walking in front and the too close to the car in front. Would have expected this kind of features in 200+ dash cams. The only real thing that needs sorting is the rear camera bracket? Even when it as tight as you can get it it still moves up and down with little pressure. Think the pin needs to come out that holds the unit in and put some small washers in.Apart from the it’s money well spent… See video of quality and the nutter on the motorbike that jumped the red light.
This just feels like pretty decent quality as soon as you get it out come on it comes with both an sd card and a rear camera so it’s ready to go straight away you just need to fit it in your car which doesn’t hate too long and no additional drilling or anything is required you can place the rear camera facing out of the rear window and thread the cable all the way through the headliner up over to the dash cam in order to make sure that you’re hiding all of the cables.
The main dash camera sits on the front windscreen for myself I have it over the passenger side right next to the rear view mirror and it sits very comfortably being basically hidden from view which is only possible due to the fact that it’s reasonably compact and slimlined.
The best part though is the path that you can connect to it from your mobile phone which means you can download all of the footage straight away.
This 4K dash cam is fitted with a SONY STARVIS IMX415 sensor and six layers of lenses, allowing you to record clear video even the small elements on a licence plate.
I was pleased to discover that the front and rear cameras produce high-quality video even in low-light conditions owing to the night vision feature. The 170 wide-angle lens also ensured ideal and clear coverage of the road ahead and behind in case of incidents.
It even has a helpful safety feature that provides warnings for lane departure and forward collision detection, so I feel confident while driving. Having a built-in GPS was also useful for tracking my routes, and the 24/7 parking monitoring feature offered peace of mind when leaving my car unattended.
Additionally, the free 64 GB Micro SD card was a nice bonus, saving me the hassle of purchasing one separately.
However, I did find the setup process a bit complex, especially connecting to the WiFi network. It took some time to figure out the settings and get everything up and running smoothly.
Overall, this Dash Cam is a worthy investment to enhance safety on the road. Despite the initial setup challenges, its advanced features, and included accessories make it a great purchase.
First off, that 170-degree wide-angle lens. It’s like having eyes in the back of your head, but even better because it captures everything in stunning detail. And let’s talk about the night vision – it’s like having a superpower when you’re driving after dark! I never worry about missing a single moment on the road, no matter the time of day.
But wait, there’s more! With the included 64GB SD card, I can record hours upon hours of footage without breaking a sweat. It’s like having a personal black box for my car, ready to capture any unexpected moments or crucial evidence. Trust me, this dash cam is an absolute must-have for any driver out there. Whether you’re a seasoned road warrior or just looking for some extra peace of mind, this little gadget has got your back.
Despite its impressive features, the user interface for accessing and managing footage could be more intuitive, requiring a bit of a learning curve for first-time users. Due to this I have knocked off one star.
4/5
The BOTSLAB 4K Dash Cam is an excellent quality and stylishly designed front and read dash cam. The front camera catches almost everything with it’s 170 wide angle camera. The high speed WiFi allows you to access all the save recordings via an app on your phone and you can instantly save them onto the handset and send onwards in the event you need the footage to assist in a prosecution, provide it at an accident or want to report someone for dangerous driving.
The install process is simple and easy with the exception of the rear camera which does need wired up, I’m not confident enough taking off ceiling panels and things myself, so I do suggest paying someone to do it.
Video footage is really clear and it’s easy to make out a registration plate on passing vehicles. Menu and interface are easy to navigate and it even includes a memory card with the kit. Excellent price and good value for money.
