Its amazing the difference it makes space-wise putting t he tumble dryer on top of the washing machine. I’m not a huge fan o tumble dryers, but they do have their uses and when you are in a pinch, theres not much else will do – trying to dry clothes with a hairdryer is a bit soul destroying.
I ordered this kit and set about freeing up some space in the utility room as it is on the poky side at the best of times and – reveleation – I might have space for a dishwasher. Just as electricity bills are shooting through the roof, nothing says ‘conspicous consumption’ quite as convincingly as multiple unecessary electrical devices crammed into one already too small room. If they could see it, the neighbours would be green with envy.
The kit is actually pretty straight forward, it consists of an adjustable stand that fits on top of your washing machine and a long ratchet band clamp that holds the whole behemoth together. The mass of the washing machines concrete weight stops the tower of Babel from toppling or indeed going for a wander though the utility room. Its not the most elegant solution to a problem (if it is a problem) but it certainly works – you even gain a small pop out towel rack as well.
Materials are good and the whole thing is nicely put together and doesnt give the impression of being a gimmick, it is a useful idea.
This stacking kit offers a useful way to maximise area and efficiently arrange the laundry room. I have been wanting to stack my washing machine and tumble dryer for a while and when I ordered this kit, I finally took the time to do it and this made me feel much better about it.
It was quite easy to set up, you put the tray part on the bottom machine and then just lift the other machine on top of the tray. You then use the ratchet rope to hold them in place and that is it. It was very simple and the hardest part is lifting the top machine so you will probably need a few people to help.
Once set up, it looks great and has saved a lot of floor space in my kitchen. The machines are very sturdy on top of each other and I am confident that they won’t move or fall. It also has a nice little shelf/hanger part that pulls out so you can hang a small amount of laundry on it if you want to air dry some stuff instead of using the tumble dryer. Overall, I would definitely recommend this machine stacking kit.

This is a great kit, the box it comes in is rather small, and i was confused to start with, but upon opening it made sense! You have plastic corner parts, and metal box sections that you clamp in place and you can use these to adjust the size.
The front pull out rack has telescoping rails so they also adjust to whatever the width is that you need. Again a really smart design idea.
Comes with a ratchet strap to put around the machines and stop them from moving at all, the corner parts have pads on them to hold the machine securely in place.
I am really happy with this stacking kit, i do wish it was available in other colours, but i think a bit of coloured vinyl stuck onto the white bits will make it blend into the grey machines nicer.

This is a fantastic device. I honestly wish I’d these devices existed beforehand as I’d previously tried to stack my washer and dryer on top of each other without one and they just made a terrible racket and moved around too much so I had to put them back to being side by side wasting space and causing an obstruction with the door.
It’s really solved my washing room woes now though. It’s so easy to put together and I did it in about 5 minutes. The instructions are really, really good and the video (in the item description) is actually informative and helpful (though you don’t need to watch it if you don’t want to as the written instructions are perfectly fine).
It fits very well too and the adjustable element works well and is smooth (I was a little concerned that it wouldn’t extend enough to fit but it absolutely does) and when everything is stacked together it’s very secure. The straps are strong and the entire setup feels robust, giving me confidence that the washer and dryer will remain stable even during heavy use (I have tested it with a simple wash and dry at the same time and it’s great).
The bonus pull out shelf is fine, it’s stable and pulls in and out with a nice motion, but it’s not something I’d really trust with a heavy washing basket. It’s ok for empty baskets, holding your wash tabs etc while you load the machines and stray bits of washing and socks/underwear though.
Overall, a great stacking kit. It’s strong, easy to use and comes with that little bonus shelf. It’s perfect for small apartments or anywhere you need to maximize space.
