I didn’t order these silicone moulds to use for baby food. I ordered them to freeze foods like minced garlic, chillies and herbs etc.
These moulds come in a set of three. Each mould has ten holes. The holes are a reasonable size. It’s easy to remove what you put in the holes too.
They come with three lids. The lids are handy so you keep any smells within the moulds, especially if you use them for things like garlic.
I like these more than other ice moulds as these are nice and flat. They don’t take up much space in the freezer and are easy to slot in.
They are dishwasher safe and easy to clean.
I recommend these moulds but I’m not sure if pay the current price of 14.99 for them. I think that’s too expensive.
I ordered these to make fresh fruit popsicles for my 2 year old for the summer. They are perfect!
My little one sucks out all the fresh juice and the ‘bits’ get left behind. He loves them and they were a real success with him.
The silicone tray makes it easier to take out the cubes, and they easily insert into the holder.
I recommend these!
I’ve had experience using silicone fruit feeders with babies and toddlers previously, and I’ve found them to be quite helpful in introducing new flavours to infants. They also serve as a means of providing soothing relief during teething episodes. Sometimes, teething babies may not be inclined to chew on traditional teething toys, but they often take to feeders like these due to the rewarding flavours they get while chewing. In this set, the feeder covers are made of plastic, while the feeders themselves are crafted from food-grade silicone, ensuring they are free from BPA, lead, phthalates, and latex. I appreciate the clear silicone compartment which allows one to monitor how much food the baby has consumed. The textured handles on the feeders are excellent for teething relief. As an added bonus, the set includes two trays suitable for freezing milk or other foods, which can then be placed into the feeder. These trays, about half an inch larger than a 3″ x 5″ index card, come with tight-fitting silicone lids, making it easy to freeze without creating a mess in the freezer. To access the food compartment, one simply needs to pull the handle off the rest of the feeder. While I did find opening the food compartment slightly challenging, overall, I still consider this to be a good feeder set.
I am very happy with the freezing trays, when the lid is fitted any excess liquid is expelled. They are water tight when sealed and so very easy to handle.
EDIT: I also got the 3x extra trays, pics added.
These are better than another I have in that you pull the top off by unpeeling it rather than pulling the handle which will eventually break with too much wear. However, there is only one size of teat, which is restrictive if you want to put larger quantities in.
I like the ice cube trays as you can freeze things in the shape and size of the feeder which can be handy for such things as breastmilk. Why others don’t come with them automatically, I don’t know. The handle has a little nob at the end which helps to push the food up into the teat.
Then handle is large enough for uncoordinated hands to grasp the entire thing without a struggle and of course, as it is made of silicone, it is all easy to wash. As there are two in a pack, this means you could be washing and drying one, whilst using the other.
It is excellently priced for the combination of feeders and trays.
