I’ve been using this car cover for a few weeks now, and I’m impressed with how well it performs. It fits my SUV perfectly and provides excellent protection against all kinds of weather. Item received in good condition and folded very flat. Once opened out it’s surprisingly big and clever how they pack it so small. The fabric is very good quality and easily keeps rain off your car.
In terms of fitting it went over our car with ease and with the straps to fit it snugly we have not had any problems with it blowing off. Maybe this will be different in winter trying to fit it in bad weather when it’s windy might be more challenging.
It fits well and this will be such a help in the winter especially not having to worry about defrosting frozen windscreens every day.

A very strong multi-layered car cover. Soft lining on the inside, lined wing mirror pockets and elasticated bottom.
This is a nice product, easy to put on with 2 people, but can be put on alone with a bit more of a fight. The cover is soft on the inside but I wouldn’t put over a dirty car as any grit / dirt could very easily scratch the paintwork of the car.
The elasticated hem hold the cover in place with little to no wind. Will it withstand heavy weather and wind? I would doubt it. It could do with some straps that are passed underneath the car and either tied or velcro’d on to the opposite side as if the wind gets up this thing will take off like a parachute.
Decent enough cover, reasonable price. 4 stars.
This was ordered to replace an old cover that I left in the shed for a month and which I discovered had been eaten by mice when I took it out.
This cover is a great replacement and better than the original. the material is good quality with strong stitching and good craftsmanship. There is a clip buckle and ties to hold it in place in bad weather. These work well in moderate weather but during some exceptionally strong wind the cover did lift at one end. I will probably add a couple more straps and buckles to overcome this problem. There is an elasticated hem at the bottom which is good for everyday situations but is also not strong enough for very high winds. However, it does keep everything in place in normal weather.
I haven’t taken it apart so I can’t vouch for the layers of material it claims are used but it keeps my car clean and dry. There are also no signs of dampness when I remove it, so I think the claims to breathability are correct. The zips are a great innovation. There have been a few instances when I have left something in the car and being able to unzip the cover and open the door is much easier than removing the cover. I think the material doesn’t hold dirt in the same way the car does because the cover is never as dirty as the car gets and there is a lot less bird mess on it.
There is a storage bag included for when it is not in use though I have to admit I tend to just stick the cover in the boot. It’s a nice addition though for when it isn’t being used for extended periods.
For the money this is a fantastic cover and definitely worth every penny.
I received this cover free of charge for an honest review under the ‘Vine’ Program. It came very neatly folded and tied up with a bow, which belies the actual size of the cover when unfurled. I could not find any instructions in the box this came in and as I’ve never used such a cover before, I was initially a bit confused about what I should be doing with the strap (which I quickly sussed out). I don’t know whether installing this cover on your car can be a ‘one person’ job as my wife volunteered to help me. It took us a few minutes to unfold and just a few more to cover the car. Quite easy really.
I have to say that it is well designed and fitted over my Toyota vehicle perfectly. Even the flaps for door mirrors were perfectly aligned (though my mirrors fold in so the flaps were actually superfluous for me.
The material seems pretty strong and the elastic hem/straps should keep the cover firmly attached to the vehicle in some pretty tough weather conditions. After removing from the car we found it quite difficult to fold it up small enough to fit in the blue bag provided (which I actually managed to rip when stuffing the cover in). I guess however dealing with all whole car covers after use will always present a challenge.
This cover is very nicely made. It is far superior to the cheap single layer thin covers that I’ve used previously that always seem to get blown off even in the lightest of winds.
This cover is much heavier and has a soft inner surface which should help minimise scratches to the paintwork. However, I would always advise washing the car before covering as even the lightest dusting of dirt can end up working like sandpaper on the paintwork as the cover moves when being blown about in bad weather.
It is possible to deploy this with one person but I find it much easier to position correctly first time if two people put it over the vehicle – this also minimises the chances of scratching due to tugging and repositioning to get it in the right place with only one person.
Ideal for keeping bird droppings off the paintwork too if you live in an area with a lot of bird traffic – we have seagulls who seem to delight in covering the car every time we have just finished washing it, so now this will provide a handy barrier against their inbound bombing runs!
Great quality and should last for some time and I hope won’t perish after extended exposure to UV from the sun. (Actually, being that we are located in England, there isn’t any sun, so this should last for years!)
This car cover from Badgeshand is mid price range at 36.99 and as such represents good value for money. It doesn’t mean it’s perfect, because it’s not, but it does have some good features that similarly priced covers lack. One is cotton mirror pockets, and the other is zipped access to the car doors when the cover’s on.
As we haven’t had any high winds since I put this on my car I don’t know how it’ll stand up to adverse weather conditions. My guess is not too well. There aren’t enough straps and they don’t seem that strong. The elasticated bottom edge of the cover is a useful addition but is it enough to stop a high wind from working its way underneath?
The listing’s headline says the cover has 10 layers, but only shows and names 4 in one of the photos. The listing says the cover is coated in aluminium-that’s not one of the materials mentioned in the photo of the layers. The main thing with the layers is that the innermost one is cotton to protect the car body, and the outermost layer is waterproof to keep the weather from penetrating.
A statement in the listing:

I can’t even begin to think what Badgeshand are trying to say.
Most of my gripes concern the listing which is down to Badgeshand and not a criticism of the cover, with that my only concern is the security offered by the provided straps. For a few pounds additional strapping could be bought and then you’ll have a superb cover, and even with the extra outlay, at a very competitive price.
I requested this to cover my car during snowy periods and to protect it from the very sticky sap that falls from the trees during spring/summer. I put it on when it arrived yesterday and was very surprised to find how well it fits, the mirror pockets are in the right place and the door zips are over both front doors making them easily accessible. There is more room at the back than I need but would probably be big enough for a squarer backed estate style car.
Things I was disappointed with, and why I docked one star is the strap that should go under the car and fasten with a buckle on the other side does not seem long enough – or heavy enough to chuck through, and there was only a buckle clip on one side so could not be fastened there anyway. The storage bag is made of that toughened paper, unfortunately not toughened enough to be able to sqeeze the bag into with out the same coming apart and the top tearing.
Just after putting it on to try for size it started to rain and blow, and the rain continued heavily throughout the night. My car is still dry and the soft lining ensures it is not scratched. If it was not for the strap and missing buckle I would have given 5*++ .
You do need space to dry it out before packing away if it is wet when you take it off your car, a lot of line space.
Got this for my wife’s car to protect from birds dropping and general dirt while parked on the driveway at home.
Takes me and my wife about 2 or 3 minutes to get it over the car and secured. So fast and easy to and it fits a charm. Looks like it will be fine even in high winds.
One side is waterproof black and white material with reflective strips by your lights and mirrors so cars can see it at night. The underside is a soft material meaning it should reduce the chances of scratches or damage to your car.
And the bonus – no more birds dropping on my car. And the ones that land on the sheet quickly rinse away or flake off due to the material.
Very good protection at a reasonable price.
