I purchased this just before a trip to a waterpark on holiday; if you want to keep your phone on you whilst on water rides and/or keep an eye on messages whilst around water, then these pouches are for you – being both waterproof and wearable with the lanyard.

These pouches keep water out whilst still enabling you to keep an eye on notifications and reply to these whilst you and your hands might be wet!

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly waterproof pouch for all your waterpark adventures!

I needed one of these for 2 main uses.

    1) Hiking in bad weather.
    2) Storing my phone at the beach / by the pool.

For both of these a phone can get wet or dusty / sandy pretty easily, especially if you still want to use it frequently. With these cases the phone seals in pretty securely – it certainly keeps it dry and clean. I’ve not risked submerging it in water with a working phone, but it looks like it would be up to the task. The strap means I can have it hanging around my neck to use for navigation, or tie it to a beach bag handle for a small amount of security. It’s easy to use and big enough to fit most mobile phone sizes.

You can still use the phone touch screen while in the case. Remember that the case is not tight fitting, so not intended to be flat against a screen like a gorilla protector is. As a result you lose a little accuracy and responsiveness but for me that’s just not an issue – it’s still useable but more importantly protected.

It’s not military grade so won’t last forever, but perfect for taking on a few adventures or holidays.

    What I like:
    – Truly water-proof (tested submerged for several hours in stable conditions), with a double closure mechanism.
    – Easy to use: Simple closure.
    – One-piece product: everything is “connected” and together (other than the lanyard). So, no risk to lose pieces.
    – Feels sturdy: Thick transparent plastic pouch; strong closures.
    – Fits our phones that are of different sizes (i-Phone, Samsung and LG).
    – Good and strong lanyard.
    – Caters for other items (passport, money, etc.) and uses (e.g. trekking, skiing, …).
    – With enough air in it, the pouch floats.
    – 2 pouches at an excellent price at the moment (7.99).

    Thoughts:
    – The manufacturer states that this is a seamless construction. It’s erroneous because there are soldered seams at the bottom of the case. But, they are minimal and also help to protect the corners of the pouch from erosion.
    – I would not take this down to several meters deep because the pressure may push water into the pouch. That said, for protection at the beach, on a boat or when walking, it’s sufficient.

    Be aware:
    – If you are near sand, ensure that it does not get in the seam, which could compromise the water-proofing capability of this product.
    – If you allow too much air in the pouch before locking it closed, it will be difficult to press on the screen of the phone.
    – Activating and using the screen is not as easy as without the pouch.
    – Not suitable for underwater photography, in my opinion. The quality of your pictures may not be as good as without the pouch or when using a waterproof photographic case.
    – Any moisture inside the case must be removed.
    – Risks of condensation inside the case are possible. I’ve put a bag of silica inside my cases to reduce that risk (I take it out after I’ve used the pouch and dry it with a hair-dryer before putting it back into the pouch — ensure beforehand that it’s not hot).

These cases work perfectly for keeping your phone (or any small item really) dry and safe.

They’re made of a thickish plastic, but you can still work the phone through it which is very useful. The closures are easy to use, and the lanyard is not scratchy or annoying.

Very good value for money imo.

These cases are great for protecting phones from sand on a beach, spray on a boat ride or mud and rain while walking a dog. I did a paper towel test with both cases and they did not leak, but I did not do this at 30m underwater. I would not use these for filming underwater.

I could fit an iPhone 14 pro in the pouch without removing its case. For larger plus or max size phones you’ll probably need to remove any case. The touchscreen operates perfectly through the case but I couldn’t get FaceID to work through it and I doubt TouchID would either.

Would I trust a 5 pouch to protect hundreds of pounds worth of phone underwater? No, but they offer good value water protection for less extreme environments.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value but I wouldn't trust it for underwater photography

Having kids and coming summer beach and pool time, I always felt a need for additional safety measures for my phone, and these phone pouches are a perfect find in my hunch for that. The upgraded 3D seamless frame design truly delivers on its promise of a comfortable user experience. Unlike some other pouches I’ve tried, this one doesn’t scratch my fingers or impede my phone usage. It feels as if I’m using my phone without any cover at all. The peace of mind that comes with knowing my device is protected against water, snow, and dirt is invaluable. We are going for a beach trip soon where this pouch will be put to rigorous testing. My iPhone15 fits perfectly well in these pouches, some space left too. The opening and closing mechanism does take some efforts but its not that difficult.

Overall, its seamless design, universal compatibility, and excellent waterproofing capabilities make it a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking to protect their phone during water-based activities. It comes in a pack of 2, so great value too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and easy to use waterproof phone pouch for adventurous souls

Just so you know, I review products for Amazon, so I did not pay for this item. Having received it, here’s what I thought:

We’ve had a few of these types of cases over the years. Some slide across the top, and some have velcro closures which roll down. Some break into two pieces, which have a knack of finding a way to move away from each other between uses (just me?).
These cases are one-piece, so you can’t lose anything, and they hold the phone nicely, they fit an iPhone Pro 14.
The closing mechanism was nice and simple and because the tabs are orange they’re easy to see.
There’s a good solid hole for the lanyard at the top attached to a sturdy lanyard.
I took mine out on my boat and found that I’d forgotten I was wearing it by the end of the day.
I’ll be taking it out in my kayak in future also.

The plastic appears reasonably robust, it’s easy to see through, and it’s fairly thick. I don’t know enough about plastics to say what sort it is, but if you think of the sort of material you’d find in a tent window you’d have this kind in mind (I’d guess). You can importantly operate the capacitive touch screen through the plastic. You’d get some reasonable photos through the film too, but it’s not going to perform as well as good glass.

Happy to recommend, I’ll update the review if they fail earlier than expected.

This pouch comes in a pack of two and keeps your phone safe and dry during outdoor activities.

The pouch is made of a very flexible material, which makes it easier to insert my phone and other similar-sized smartphones up to 6.9 inches. Its transparent design allows for touchscreen functionality as well as clear screen visibility. This allows me to use my phone while it is protected in the pouch.

Furthermore, the inclusion of two pouches in the pack added value by allowing me to have a backup in case of damage or to share with a friend or family member on outings. They also have the standard two-lever clamp mechanism at the top, which appears to be effective in securing the phone inside.

However, the touchscreen operation is not as reliable when used underwater, so you may have difficulty taking pictures.

Overall, despite the unreliable touchscreen functionality, I enjoy having this case because it provides reliable water protection for the phone during beach vacations or water-based adventures.

This pair of pockets are definitely waterproof and responsive to touch. They are wide and long enough for most phone trademarks. The lanyard is strong and clips well.
However, my wife’s phone has a protector casing made of thin silicon and the only way of getting the phone in this bag is to remove the protection, leaving the phone susceptible to bumps and cracks. The silicon sticks to the plastic of the pouch and it won’t slide inside. Normally these issues are solved with talcum powder bit you don’t want to put that near your phone!
Otherwise, this is a good pair of waterproof pouches.

I received this item via the vine programme. Here is my honest and unbiased review.

These arrived and I am very pleased to say that they work very well. They are nice and look like they will stand up to being taken on wet and windy hikes and other outdoor activities where you might want your phone on you. Just make sure you fasten them properly!

What I will say is that these are more expensive that other ‘brands’ (yes we know they are all made in the same factory and that different sellers brand them as their own), so while these work fine and dandy, you could easily find the same items cheaper.

4 stars!! works well, does the job, but could be cheaper!

Very nice and simple waterproof pouch. It fits my phone very well 6 inch screen Sony. It will fit even bigger phones. Checked it twice now and it does a good job keeping water away. There was absolutely no water inside and even put it under the water for a little while but it did well. With some air inside it floats so your phone will always stay afloat.
Easy locking mechanism is secure and reliable.
    So far so good.

I am very clumsy but love taking photos in strange places and weird ways and of course love water. All that said, I thought these would be a great idea. I am impressed with the way the screen works even through the plastic. I am no longer fearful of taking pics in wet places. Whoop whoop.

These phone protection covers feel well-made, they have thick clunky locks on them to stop water getting in. I tested these with mine and my partners Iphone 12s and found that they fit in there with room left over and did not take in any water when submerged (thankfully).
I was still able to use my phone to take photos etc through the case so it is very functional.
Being a pack of two is really useful as it means that both me and my partner can take our phones canoeing without having to leave one behind in a “safe” place.
These come with wrist straps which are useful for those clumsy like me to ensure that they do not lose their phones on adventures.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, a must have for all adventure seekers

The first thing I did when examining these bags is look at the closure mechanism – It seemed okay ….just but I would have hesitated to trust putting my phone in one of these then submerging the bag in water! This is were reading the instructions helps because before first use you are advised to test the bag by inserting some tissue or dry paper towel – this is pragmatic because one of the the most likely times you will discover a flaw(s) with a production is not just after every meany uses (where it may start ti wear out etc) but also when brand new because if there was a flaw in its manufacture that flaw will be there from day 1. Seeing that the paper towel I test inserted coming out bone dry after having inserted and sloshed the bag around in water for over 3 mins made me feel much more confident about putting one of my smartphones in it this time.. If your bag doesn’t pas the initial test of course contact the manufacturer as per the instructions for a full refund etc.
One aspect did impress me a lot was that the phones touchscreen operated as if the bag wasn’t even there. I was not just able to play some YouTube videos but I was able to highlight text then copy it when (I decided to share a YouTube video via my X account. The share function only shares the url of the video but I like to share the video title too and was able to do so with ease all the while the phone was in the bag. The plastic bag is very clear but not too flimsy which makes the fine responsiveness of the phone even whilst in this bag quite remarkable. I won’t just be using this when going fishing etc but also if I ever need use my phone during heavy rain – a hack I didn’t expect but even just for that I think these bags are well worth having.

I have tried a couple of these cases which have never fitted my iPhone 13 very well, I like to have phone phone in a. protective case and normally I find that these waterproof cases are a little bit snug, however this is great that it is a little bit bigger and therefore fits the larger phones quite well.
Waterproof performance is good, was is the responsiveness of the phone screen when inside this case, although wet hands do make it a little sluggish, I wanted this for paddle boarding and hopefully will be staying dry by a good back up nonetheless.

The Waterproof Phone Pouch is a must have for any water-related adventures. The fact you get two in the pack is already a win – for the price advertised there are others with just one.

Now, onto the main feature: waterproofing. These pouches are definitely waterproof. I’ve tested them extensively, and my phone stayed dry every time, even when fully submerged for longer (60+minutes swimming).

What I love most is how easy they are to open and close. The seamless frame design ensures a secure seal without any hassle. Plus, operating your phone while it’s inside is a breeze. You can text, take photos, and even use the touchscreen without needing to open the pouch.

Whether you’re hitting the beach, going on a boat trip, or just lounging by the pool, these pouches are essential. They offer peace of mind knowing that your phone is safe from water damage while still being fully functional. This one is as good as others twice the price so highly recommend to all.

CITAMAMA Waterproof Phone Pouch, 2 Pack IPX8 Waterproof Phone Case TPU

The pouch can be used with a phone (you may need to remove the phone case so the phone fits) or for anything else that you want to keep dry.

Looking at the construction, the pouches appeared well built. Looking at the seal at the top opening, I couldn’t work out exactly how the seal worked – it’s just both sides of the clear polythene being pushed tightly together.
When fixing the pouch closed, make sure that there is no gap along the top. If the top doesn’t close properly, check the alignment, don’t force it. There are ‘sticking-out bits inside the top which have to align with holes on the opposite side.

I followed the instructions and did a leak test and all was fine. After each use, it would be a good idea to check the pouch for any potential damage (especially if the pouch has had some rough handling in use) and to do a leak test.
The pouch is ideal for keeping a phone dry and clean in wet conditions, such as using it when hiking, walking, working etc. The touch control of the phone works through the case, so no need to remove the phone each time you use it.

I would not recommend that the pouch is used under water, and I don’t think that that is really its intended purpose.

Well-made phone pouches, nice thin material, best ones have tried so far, much prefer it over the plastic type covers, good value in the pack of two.

They survived a half hour submersion test, without any sign of water intrusion on the kitchen towel I placed inside.

They have the typical two lever clamp mechanism at the top, which appears effective, and the pouch itself is made of a very flexible material, making it easier to insert the phone. The joining seam is the smallest have seen on this type of case.

The phone case took my Samsung Galaxy A32 5G (6.5 inch display) without its case and I could operate the phone really well, pretty much like it was not in the case, though of course finger print recognition does not work.

Having tested a number of these type of cases I personally prefer the ‘seamless’ type like these, without the border, as you can see more of the phone if you are pressing the volume or power buttons, This is made from a very thin flexible TPU material, unlike some of the others that feel a bit more plastic.

They will be useful in an upcoming holiday, for use around the pool, to secure the phone and other small valuables, as you can use them for anything that will fit, money, hotel access cards etc. They also have other applications in more day to day life, hiking, cycling etc. any activity where you might get wet and need some additional protection for the phone.

From the above tests and looking at the general build quality, I am confident they will do the job they are designed for, bonus that the phone works better than inside other pouches have tried, as you normally expect a bit of a compromise in phone operation when in a protective case like this.

I have wrapped my phone in clingfilm in the past when on a beach to keep sand out mostly but also to keep it protected when using after a swimming session with wet/sandy hands.

This works ok but is not suitable for more than basic protection (certainly not for taking the phone in the water with you).

I was not too convinced that these plastic pouches from CITAMAMA would offer much more but actually they do, and they are very easy to use.

My Realme 7 Android phone with 5inch screen fits perfectly, and even my daughter’s smaller iPhone 13 mini with wallet case folded back fits well, not much moving about.

Best thing is the clear plastic screen which is very sensitive to touch and both phones respond well to touches and gestures making them very useable.

You need to take care to close the seal fully to make it watertight, I would practice on an old phone first, but it does work, I tested underwater in a sink for a minute or so, but I wouldn’t want to keep it submerged for extended periods.

Which makes the buoyancy feature of these cases so welcome, even my quite heavy Realme phone floats easily and is quite resistant to accidental submersion.

A beach essential for those wanting to protect their phone from the sand and wet stuff. However I can’t get excited about them especially when you consider it is just a tough bag to put your phone in. At around 5 per pouch it’s not much to spend to protect a 1k phone but it does seem expensive for what it is especially as there isn’t any form of insurance warranty with it. So make sure you test yours well before popping your phone in. I used an old phone case wrapped in a large (man size) tissue and then held it down at the bottom of a full bucket of water and left it overnight – next day it was still all dry inside.

This 2 pack of waterproof mobile phoe holders are xcelent to take with you when you go swimming, walking etc as these will help to keep your phone safe and dry. Inside the box you get a white and a black phone cover, with 2 neck lanyards to aid carrying and keep your hands free, especially if you are using walking poles, swimming etc.

To use, open the 2 catches and the top opens for your phone. Once in, push the catches closed and thats it, sealed. I will add caution here in that if you have been in water, when you open the catches, make sure the pouch is upside down so any water remaining is taken away from your phone and does not drop into the pouch by accident. I have a larger screened device with a 6.4 inch screen and this fits easily into the case.

The screen is still able to be used, again vary handy if you want to take pictures or use the screen.
These work well, keep your phone or valuables safe and dry when they need to be. Overall, a great pair of phone cases.

What i liked about this item is that it fits a good sized phone and you could probably get a few other little bits in there as well like a pen / lipstick / chewing gum etc and it all stays safe.

In terms of just how practical these are, i think they are going to be a really bit hit with all ages and all lifestyles.

A pal of mine plays a lot of golf, he says they are handy for phones being kept clean & dry, kept handy or on the golf bag where you can see them.

Also being able to use them through the protective cover as well is a big plus point..

That’s what i will be doing with mine to keep my phone safe and in a better place than it falling out of my pocket etc,

I think a lot of people who know that phones need better protection, often get dropped leading to damage, and screens cracking, these are going to be so much more the norm and so easy to use.

I’m just surprised its taken this long for something quite obvious to hit the market and i absolutely love mine, its great.

This is a two pack and great value compared to buying a single on its own, cannot fault the whole deal

    Thanks agai

I’m not sure if I’ll ever use these while swimming but for keeping my phone dry and safe in wet weather these look perfect.

I do a lot of hill-walking and rely on my phone for navigation. It’s always been a concern when the weather is bad. Sometimes my phone is soaked with rain, at other times it ends up coated with dust or sand. These pouches protect against any kind of moisture or airborne particles, and the lanyard means I can keep the phone ready to use and not have to keep diving in and out of a pocket.

My Samsung Galaxy fits comfortably. The pouch is very clear and doesn’t reduce visibility at all. Touchscreen response remains quick and precise. I could even fit a mobile in a silicon shock case, although as the pouch sticks slightly this was slower to insert and remove.

SImple but effective, I can see these getting a lot of use.
