I’ve had a couple of inspection cameras in the past and one much more expensive than this from a well known brand which came apart during use so I was keen to see how this camera from DEPSTECH performed. I’m familiar with the brand and have found other products they’ve made to be good so I had high hopes and I was quite impressed when using this.
The inspection camera comes in quite a nice box, however my first gripe upon taking everything out is that there’s no storage bag or pouch so when not in use it’s going to have to be stored in the box it came in, not a biggy but still an annoyance. Other than that I couldn’t fault the camera, especially the wide screen which is great for viewing and the design of the handle which is easy to use. The stand out feature though is the dual camera as you not only get the usual camera on the end but also one on the side which you can switch too. This is a game changer as it means you can view things in tight space without having to try and angle the camera and spend ages trying to contort it in to weird angles. There are adjustable LED’s on the end to light up what you’re viewing and you also get a couple of attachments, a magnet and a hook to place on the end. If you want to record what you’re viewing you can install a memory card, something I think could have been included as they are quite inexpensive for small capacity cards.
Overall I’m really impressed with this inspection camera and at the current price of 55.99 it’s quite reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
Really easy to set up, everything you need is in the box. The picture is very clear, even when I don’t want to see what it’s found (spiders look HUGE and quite ghostly when they’re that close). I never knew so much kibble could fit under the washing machine…
This inspection camera is a brilliant piece of kit. It’s so handy for getting in to tight spaces that you need to inspect.
In the box you receive the camera, a charging cable and 2 attachments – 1 hook and 1 magnet.
The camera feels very well made and sturdy.
Using the camera is very straight forward. Unravel your camera cord, turn it on and the camera view appears on screen right away. You’ll need to purchase a micro SD card if you wish you record or take pictures.
One of the great things about this inspection camera is that you can choose from 2 different cameras (front or side), to insect the area. Simply pressing and holding a button will toggle between the 2 camera views. Also, you can dim the lights on the end of the camera if it’s too bright whilst you’re inspecting.
The handle is comfy to hold, the buttons are straight forward to use and there are plenty of settings in the menu for you to tweak should you need to.
My only gripe is that this camera doesn’t have a focus option so sometimes the camera view can be a little blurred. I found that moving the camera back a touch helped to get a decent focus though.
Overall, if you in the market for a decent inspection camera, then this is the one. It works very well and is simple to use and the fact you can add a memory card to record you inspections is a brilliant plus!
This is a great product. We have used this to look in small place we can’t get to. It is easy to use. The camera is very clear and provides a great view of whatever you are inspecting. We can also use the light to see in the dark. The cord is very long, so we can move around with it easily.
The 4.3” IPS screen provides crystal-clear imagery, allowing me to see even the smallest details with remarkable clarity. The dual lens feature adds another level of versatility, allowing for different viewing angles and perspectives, which is incredibly useful for various inspection tasks. The 1080P resolution ensures high-quality video capture, and the 8mm endoscope is perfect for accessing tight spaces. The IP67 waterproof rating gives me confidence when using it in challenging environments. I also appreciate the built-in light, which illuminates dark areas and enhances visibility during inspections.
This dual-lens endoscope is a very useful tool for situations when you need to observe hard-to-reach areas for occasional inspections or in case you dropped something and want to retrieve it. For these particular cases, the kit includes a hook and a strong magnet to help you retrieve items easily.
I like the design with a handle as it is much more convenient to hold the screen, and the button to zoom in is available under your thumb, making it much easier to manipulate the device.
The packaging includes a 5m long semi-rigid cable with a 2MP camera at the end, capable of shooting real-time video with 1080P HD resolution. The long cable and waterproof camera make it a very versatile tool for filming in various conditions. You can use it for underwater filming, pipeline inspections, checking behind walls and in crawl spaces, vent duct inspections, industrial machinery maintenance, and inspections. The possibilities and the usage of this device are endless. The image shot by the camera has a high HD resolution, clear enough to see details up close.
The camera also has built-in lights, making it very convenient for dark spaces. The hook and magnet can conveniently be attached next to the camera for retrieving your keys from a manhole or any other area where you unfortunately dropped your items.
The only downside I have to mention about the package is that it does not include a storage box or bag of some sort, which would be a very good thing to have in the box.
In my opinion, this is a very versatile item suitable for various types of DIY and professional projects. I highly recommend it!
I was impressed by how easy it was to set up and use. The dual lens feature is very handy, as I can switch between the front and side cameras to get a better view of a problem. The image quality is excellent, and the light is bright enough to illuminate the dark areas. The screen is large and clear, and the cable is long and flexible enough to reach the spots I needed. The handle is comfortable to hold and the buttons are intuitive to operate. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a reliable and affordable inspection camera.
Acquired item to review. The kit came with a USB C charging cable, manual, and two different end covers, one is magnetised for picking up items, the other has a hook for grabbing items. The magnet is really strong, and for small items seems very capable.
The screen quality is really good, plus at 4.3″ nice and clear to view. In the settings you can adjust the resolution in the options.
I like that you can flip the picture on the monitor as the camera is set so means if the cable twists you can adjust your viewing angle. The cable end has two cameras, one in the end, and side, you can simply flick between the views.
The cable is nice and rigid, permanently fixed to the hand held device. Making it a little clumsy when you want to store it.
You have the option to take photo’s or video and store on a memory card. Nice if you end to inspect and then store the data.
You can adjust the brightness of the LED’s at the end of the endoscope, which is also perfect, as it really does help in variety lighting conditions to acquire the best image possible. Also great that it’s IP67 waterproof making it possible to inspect wet environments.
A great item, presently selling for 62.99 on Amazon at the time of this review. Certainly a very handy tool, and a great entry price for such an item.
5/5
I’ve found this really useful. We bought an old Victorian house, and we have no idea where the drain runs are, or what’s under a lot of the floors. This helps us see what’s hidden in the floors, without having to take up lots of boards.
The endoscope is flexible, although it can also hold a shape when gently bent. The endoscope lights up, so it makes it a lot easier to see things in the dark. You can also record video in .avi format, so you can play them back later. The screen is crisp and bright, but sometimes you need a big monitor or TV to see smaller details.
If I had to change anything, I’d make the head of the endoscope a bit smoother, as a ridge between the camera and the stalk that sometimes gets caught on edges when pulling the camera back out.
This is another great tool for my DIY kit, although this is a useful bit of kit for any professional too. I have a wired and Bluetooth one already but they are very clunky to use and need a mobile phone. This one has its own display, making this an all-in-one standalone tool. The 4.3″ colour display is very clear, and with a 5m (16.5ft) cable included that has a 1080p camera on the end it is very versatile.
There are two cameras — one on the end, and one on the top, both with an LED light. The camera display can be rotated using the hand-held functions so useful if the camera is upside down. It would have been a great feature to have a self-levelling camera, but it doesn’t.. Having the forward camera is great for looking up pipes to see if there are blockages, with an element of looking at pipe surface damage. However, there is the top camera which looks directly at the outer wall of a pipe for a clearer defined image.
The 5m cable is semi-rigid and is mailable. It can be pushed up a pipe or across a ceiling void without it concertinaing up. There is enough flexibility and rigidity to be able to push around corners.
The unit is dust and water resistant, and can be used indoors and outdoors. It is charged using a USB C cable.
The hand-held device with the display has an easy to navigate menu for the settings. The handle has an instant screenshot and video recording button. Photos and videos can be saved on a Micro USB card (not included) up to 32GB. I haven’t used it constantly, but have got 2 hours of constant use, and still had plenty of life in the battery probably more than most DIYer’s needs.
This is a quality professional looking tool, and is good value. So far, I cannot fault it for the functions offered.
The Dual Lens Endoscope Inspection Camera by DEPSTECH is a super useful tool when it comes to inspecting hard-to-reach areas and looking at stuff that gone awry or amiss. It has impressive features and a user-friendly design. I’m sure it is gadget that is perfect for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. My Dad and I found it super easy to use.
The 4.3” IPS screen provides a spacious and vibrant display, allowing for clear and detailed viewing of inspection footage. The dual-lens design further enhances the observation experience, enabling all-round exploration and observation from multiple angles effortlessly. You really can get a good butchers in all those tricky nooks and crannies.
Equipped with a crystal-clear 1080P HD resolution and Bluart 3.0 technology, this endoscope delivers very clear and precise real-time viewing. The IP67 waterproof rating and 8+1 LED lights make it simple to inspect dark, wet and disgusting areas, or dodgy pipes.
The ergonomic handle design ensures comfortable and hassle-free operation, while the 180 screen flip function is brill. With its high-capacity battery, this endoscope camera provides 3-4 hours that is far more than enough for our needs.
We found using the inspection camera to be a breeze. There is no faff and it’s pretty much instant as soon as you power on. It fab that there is no need for smartphone connectivity or driver software. Plus, the 16.5ft flexible semi-rigid cable allows for easy access to tricky places like inside my car’s air conditioning.
The package includes all the essentials, such as the endoscope, charging cable, user manual, and practical accessories like a hook and magnet. I haven’t tried the 24-hour professional after-sales service but a 24-month free warranty, Depstech ensures me satisfaction and peace of mind.
Whether you need to inspect inside your smart car’s dash for naughty hibernating creatures, check for lost items behind wacking great cupboards, or perform general household inspections, the Depstech Dual Lens Endoscope DS360 definitely meets our brief.
I saw this and was intrigued so I ordered it. It is absolutely brilliant, I have so far used it to see what had fallen behind a cupboard that I could not easily get to, in the car to find some coins that had fallen down by the front seats, it can just get into anywhere, and the picture quality is so good.
I thought this would be something I would try and put away in a cupboard, but I have already used it three times, and can see end.ess uses for it, around the house, in and around the car, and pretty much anywhere where you want to see what is going on without having to dismantle something.
It is also extremely good value, so no hesitation at all in recommending this.
So this comes fantastically packaged with both a USB-C cable for recharge, accessories and a manual with a product so well made its good to have but isnt needed as everything is simple to use and understand.
It boots quickly and the resolution on the small screen is sharp with multiple buttons on the front to do things like flip the camera and record if you add a memory card.
The menu is simply to understand and clear to use and the thing is a life saver. Now originally i needed it for some piping because the people who owned the house before us seemed to of installed a whole new heating unit without removing or re-using the older one so for a home user trying to find where things went was harrowing at best. The cabling for this is nice and long aswell as being firm so easily did the job or sourcing dead ends.
Where it became a life saver is when we moved in also, we had ethernet installed in each room but one of the cables has since failed. Using this i was not only able to find which floorboards/rooms it went under but the included hook attachment made following the same cabling a breeze through the wall cavities.
Absolutely fantastic product.
This sort of instrument is so useful for many different trades – electrician, plumber, mechanic, pest controller etc, basically anyone that may need to access any sort of confined or difficult to reach space.
Very easy to set up and use, with pin sharp images, it’s basically plug and play. I like that there are two lenses – one at the end of the semi-rigid cable and one a side view lens for really comprehensive cover. The image can also be rotated through 180 which is useful, and the camera is IP67 rated. IP = ingress protection, first number is for dust and second for water, 6 being the highest level of dust protection (dust tight) and 7 being protected against temporary immersion in water (9 being the highest which is a very rare rating) so I’m satisfied it will cope easily with being popped down a drain for long enough to identify any issues.
The device is comfortable to hold and doesn’t feel heavy or cumbersome and the cable is 5m (16.5ft) long so you really can access deep inside an engine, under floorboards, up chimneys, inside domestic boilers, down drains or sewers, inside walls or ceilings etc. The colours are true to life, the brightness is adjustable and the picture quality is top notch. Excellent.
Images can be stored on a microSD card up to 32G (not supplied).
I’m very impressed by the whole package.
At 69.99 (as at 17 January 2024) I think this is superb value and a versatile tool that would quickly become indispensable to most tradespersons. Would recommend.
When I am working away in the garage on my pet project which is restoring a car I sometimes need to see into the nooks and crannies without taking whole sections apart
This camera set up allows me to do that plus with the screen being part of it there is no messing around trying to connect it to your phone or having to juggle phone and camera at the same time
The resolution is nice and clear and the fact this has side led and front allows me to illuminate the hidden areas of the car and see things ion detail
I also used this to take a look behind our integrated dishwasher, so can see many uses for i
