They are light and look good. You feel good when you wear them. However, when you want to look at your phone or other devices, you have to lift them from your eyes
Bought these mainly for use on the golf course. Shades of brown lenses are supposed to be good for sighting golf balls. Stylish looking and well fitting. All in all so far a good value purchase.
It is a fantastic item in all respects. Quality and I highly recommend to all buyers, but I was unhappy when I expected what I ordered, a 1.5 magnification not the one sent. The quality is so good that I will buy another provided it has the correct magnification. Check before sending and send two pairs and I will gladly pay for the second one.
Amazing sunglasses for an excellent price. No need to pay extortionate prices for a designer brand when you can buy these. The arms are sprung so they are easy to get on. They look and feel like an expensive pair. So good I bought another as a spare. Superb.
I have recently had a cataract operation and the glasses were very useful to protect the eye, particularly from glare. I also do a bit of cricket watching , umpiring etc, and my vision has not been impaired as sometimes occurs with dark glasses, if anything it has been enhanced.
These are quite comfortable and look pretty good. Seem to protect eyes quite well, but I discovered they do not keep the wind out on a windy day – but they probably help. Look quite good without being too aggressive
ZZTOP did a song ‘ cheap sunglasses’ & yes they are, but they are a superb pair of sunglasses. I could not believe the ‘extras’ that came with them, a hard case , micro fiber glasses bag & even a + & – tool kit to tighten any loose screws ( which can happen over time) .
All that before you get to the glasses which fit perfectly, comfortable & cut out all that uv light. More than happy with this purchase & would definitely recommend if you need a spare pair or as a main pair. Excellent.
Funny thing they state driving glasses but the safety instructions in the box state “do not use for driving” anyway I use mine for fishing and bicycle riding during the day and they are grea
Oh Amazon, your ratings are SO WEIRD! These glasses score badly for night vision because they are SUNGLASSES. Do NOT buy these to help you see in the dark – they won’t.
But polarising sunglasses (and brown tint ones especially) are THE best thing for driving. Polarising removes glare – sunlight is polarised horizontally so when it reflects off a horizontal surface, vertical polarised filters will reduce reflect light almost entirely. Wet roads with sun on? Glare Be Gone! Shine off car windows? Glare Be Gone! Reflections on water? Glare Be Gone! Like magic.
AND sunlight is what makes fog glare during the day – wear these when it’s foggy and you’ll see further and see more. Wear these when there is rain spray (during the day) and you’ll see further and see more. The brown tint emphasises red colours so red lights (brake / rear lights, stop lights etc) all really “pop” at you, making them easier to notice and react to. You’ll be safer using polarised sunglasses in your car – end of. And a tiny difference in hitting the brakes translates to stopping meters shorter than you would have which could save your life – or someone else’s.
Optically these are good plastic lenses – not as clear as good glass but as good as any plastic lenses I’ve seen. The frames are nicely made, light and feel strong, grip your head well without drama and the nose pieces are comfortable. Looking straight into the sun you will get some reflection on the inside of the lens but it’s manageable – if you are bothered by it get a hat with a brim (or a sun visor on your cycle helmet).
There’s no special features to promote airflow so these might get hot during exercise but I have found that when there is an open bridge or other airflow it directs the air across your eyes, making them extra dry and more prone to getting dust in them. Won’t be such an issue here…
The presentation is good – test card is cute but not really necessary IMO (just look at the sky and tilt your head to see the effect of polarising, or any area of open water or a car bonnet) and there is a decent hard case and also an included soft case which doubles as a cleaning cloth, but not a good one if it’s being kept in your pocket or bag most of the time. I think the idea is to use the soft bag inside the hard case but that’s a big faff – get a microfibre lens cloth and keep that in the case instead.
Firstly, I’m a pilot and have had my fair share of sunglasses and always like to ‘test’ out the product before I go ahead and buy them.
I thought I’d buy a pair online, stumbled across Duco, and am most pleasantly surprised with the quality of these glasses. 1. The frame: sturdy, strong and lightweight. 2. The lens: (I have yet to test in the sun). I would say seems like a sound cat. 3 so far + polarised. 3. Design is unique; different is good! 4. Fits very well.
Delivery was swift (2 days) and you can tell that every effort was made to protect the glasses.
I would say a top quality pair of sunglasses for a more than sensible price. I would more than happily use these guys again. (I’ve already bought a second pair)
*UPDATE*
Unfortunately I’ve had to return this pair as (although seems to be a very uncommon problem) they had a slight magnification to them, and disorientated me a tad bit.
