My trusty old Webber has been exposed to the elements all year round for about 20 years and is finally showing signs of weathering so thought I’d treat it to a cover.
This one seems very well made with thick waterproof material and even comes with a little storage pouch for when not using.
It fits my Webber Kettle BBQ well, although it does seem a little baggy.
Purchased just in time as we’ve had a cold, windy and wet week in the UK. The cover held up well and I like the fact the water beads into drops and runs off. BBQ itself is warm and dry!
Overall, very pleased.
The advertised size for this cover is 50x52x81cm. I wanted it for a round drum BBQ, 40cm diameter x 74cm height so I knew there would be a bit of slack in the fit.
For straters the material is thick ans strong, much thicker and sturdier than other covers I have recently seen that were more akin to thick nylon, I feel this cover will provide protection.
The fit, I was expecting to be a little large as some of the excess width was pulled down the side, but in practice it fitted really well, the excess width created a bit more length so allowing me to tuck the cover under the feet.
There’s a drawstring around the bottom to tighten, then the feet sit on the inside of the cover to keep it in place with a quick release strap attached around one of the feet.
There are no air vents to try to stop the cover being lifted by gusts getting underneath, but it is fitted with the drawstring around the bottom pulled tight and then tucked under the feet of the BBQ so wind should not get underneath.
This has been paced on a BBQ that has yet to be used, it’s still shiny and new. When it has been used although I will use the cover I don’t intend to keep it completely exposed to the elements long term, it’ll be put under cover for the winter with the cover on, mainly to keep the grill clean but I feel this cover would amply protect the BBQ if left completely exposed.
Overall, good thick material, quick release clipped anchor strap, drawstring to tighten around the bottom. Far more robust tham other covers I have recently seen.
This cover is good quality.
Admittedly it is only plain black but it serves its purpose and protects your BBQ from the elements giving a good waterproof covering.
It comes in 3 different size options. I have a 57cm Weber BBQ and so opted for the 63.5c68.6×88.9 option thinking that this would be plenty to cover a 57cm diameter BBQ (and that the next size up at 80x80x99 would be far too big for my BBQ).
However, as you can see in the photo I’ve enclosed the cover doesn’t quite fit neatly on the BBQ. It’s just about deep enough to cover the wheels whilst being strapped underneath to the foot at the front (i.e. the third foot). The drawstring can be used to keep it tight to stop the cover getting blown off in the wind.
However, if you plan on keeping your covered BBQ outside do be aware that it does flap about in the wind around the sides. A long cord/string wrapped around it would help with this. Some BBQ covers include a strap around the middle to avoid this and this would have been nice to see, especially as the cover doesn’t quite fit on nicely meaning there is quite a bit of flapping about in the wind.
I note that I could remove the handle off the BBQ which would probably mean the cover sits on a bit neater overall but I didn’t really want to do this. Most BBQs have a handle that sticks out of the front and this cover doesn’t seem to allow for this in its shape (as its just a circular shape).
Because of this its 4 stars from me.
Seems nicely made and decent material, I have this over my smoker and it’s doing the job well. Who knows how long this one will last, they all seem to eventually have issues due to UV degradation but it’s cheap enough that if I get a couple of years out of it I’ll be happy and it seems durable enough to last.
This comes in a little zippered pouch.

I appreciate that this cover is crafted from 600D Oxford fabric, which feels more durable than the 420D fabric often used for garden furniture covers. The slightly thicker and heavier 600D fabric provides added durability without making the cover cumbersome, as the BBQ cover is still easy to put on and remove.
The cover features a drawstring and extra straps at the bottom, allowing for secure fastening around the BBQ legs or other fixtures. However, I did notice that the stitching around these areas seems somewhat lacking in quality, so only time will tell how well it holds up.
Overall, I find this cover to be quite decent and expect it to effectively protect my BBQ from rain or snow. It’s essential to measure your BBQ accurately to ensure the best fit for the cover, as having the right size makes installation much smoother.
This BBQ protected does the job it was intended to do. Having paid a lot of money for my BBQ I do not want it unprotected from the weather or bird droppings. This easy to clean cover is doing the job, my BBQ is not rusting, nor covered in unwanted mess. As the cover is heavy and you can buckle it down, I don’t have to worry that it will blow away and end up in the neighbours gardens.

The Famibay Kettle BBQ Round Barbecue Cover is made from a high quality material and although a little large is perfect to help protect our BBQ from the elements. I have no idea what 600D Oxford fabric is, but this cover is made from a thick, hard wearing fabric that will stand up to outdoor use. Once on I have drawn in it tighter using the drawstring and I like the thought that went into adding a buckle to fix it either to the BBQ or a nearby heavy object. Good value at 15.99.
his cover is the ideal size for my aldi/gardenline kamado and covers from floor to the top of the dome including the stand legs which have a larger footprint.
it’s made of what seems to be a well durable fabric and the construction looks decent.
it has clips and a cinching cord around the base to secure so it can’t blow away in high winds (we had a neighbours one land in our garden a couple of years ago).
for our particular use it is perfect for our needs so very happy with it indeed.
