Giving it a 5* on longevity, but so far only had it for less than 6 months. Hoping it will go on long after warranty period. But frankly, as important as the fact that it works very well. Very fast and no problem with any heat issues.

Paid 188 for a 4TB NVME that claims a speed of 7600mb/s reads. Bargain.

Seems to work as advertised but it’s early days. Sustained real world write of 3.1gbps but that seems to be limited by the drive that it was reading from.

    Might buy another..

I have never heard of the Fikwot brand before, so there always feels like there is a bit of risk in trying out a new product from an unknown source. At the price this was going for however it was substantially cheaper than the competitors and I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did. I have had it for a week now, and it has worked flawlessly. Installed easily. No issues setting it up. PC recognised the drive straight away. I have been hammering it with data transfers and it has remained stable with transfer speeds as advertised in the specifications. It doesnt get hot at all. It is being used for storing all of those huge downloads that games need nowadays. No longer will I have to delete older games so that I can install the new AAA blockbuster that comes along. I wont feel any issues with ordering another from this brand if I should need to.

I purchased this to test it out and use as an external drive. The performance has been excellent, easily on par with the stated rates.
The drive has also been running heavily for a while now, regularly backing up my documents and pictures folders.
So far it has performed flawlessly.
I’ve heard of individuals giving bad reviews due to drive failures, and saying it is related to the price.
Every manufacturer has drive failures, so to me this held no water.
To my mind this is a great buy and offers good performance on some of the older Gen 3 motherboards.

Specifically purchased as extended storage for PS5. kit provided simplified procedure, albeit no indication of thermal pad placement. I’d recommend, or advise that you place a thermal pad top, and bottom of SSD when using for this purpose, and not to stack bottom side as the device could contact frame above interface port.

As a needed upgrade, this was the second I needed to upgrade for storage, I wasn’t impressed with the price and not even a mainstream brand but was needed. Now the mainstream brands are obnoxiously expensive for both size and speed, even these can go whistle for my money until they are more reasonably priced, got mine before they all went up but it still doesn’t make it a lesser pill to take.

I recently upgraded my computer with the Fikwot FN501 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience.

    **Performance and Speed:**
The Fikwot FN501 Pro SSD boasts impressive speeds, with read speeds up to 3500MB/s and similarly high write speeds. The difference in performance was immediately noticeable compared to my old SSD. Applications load almost instantly, and file transfers are swift and smooth. Whether I’m editing videos, managing large databases, or playing graphics-intensive games, this SSD handles it all without a hitch.

    **Capacity and Cache:**
With 2TB of storage, this SSD offers ample space for all my files, programs, and games. The inclusion of an SLC cache helps enhance the performance during sustained write operations, which is particularly noticeable when transferring large files or during prolonged gaming sessions.

    **Cooling and Durability:**
One of the standout features is the graphene cooling sticker. This addition is not just a gimmick; it genuinely helps manage the heat effectively, ensuring that the drive operates within optimal temperatures even under heavy load. This is a crucial factor for maintaining performance and longevity, especially in tightly-packed PC builds or laptops.

    **Installation and Compatibility:**
Installation was straightforward. The M.2 2280 form factor is compatible with most modern laptops and desktops that support PCIe Gen3 x4 interfaces. I had no issues fitting it into my laptop, and the drive was recognized immediately without needing any additional drivers.

    **Build and Design:**
The build quality of the SSD feels solid, and it’s reassuring to know that it comes with 3D NAND TLC technology, which is known for its durability and efficiency. The compact design is typical for M.2 drives, but the added graphene layer gives it a unique touch.

    **Overall Experience:**
The Fikwot FN501 Pro 2TB NVMe SSD is a high-performance drive that offers excellent value for its price. It’s an ideal choice for anyone looking to upgrade their storage solution to something faster, more reliable, and with enough capacity to handle demanding applications and tasks.

In conclusion, this SSD has transformed my computing experience by reducing load times and increasing data transfer speed. It’s a fantastic upgrade for any laptop or desktop and comes highly recommended for both general and power users alike.

This SSD is another good example of low cost does the job.

This is to replace an SSD my son managed to corrupt on his PC.

This SSD is maybe not the fastest on the market but performs well for the games he plays and is stable.

If your looking for a cheaper option for a gaming PC I’d give this one a try.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to replace my failing main HDD drive. It was easy and actually pretty fun to install, functions instantly and can immediately see the difference in my PC’s speed.

Important however. If you are looking to install this as your primary system driver (wanting your computer to run on it with it’s OS and such), but don’t know how to, I recommend PCGamesN’s video (YouTube) on installing an OS to the drive. You’ll need a flash drive with at least 8gb of available space.

I cannot comment on the longevity yet, but it seems like it’ll be running my pc and providing a nice bit of storage for a while to come. Nice bit of tech, I greatly recommend for the price.

(Always remember to backup your important files to another drive just in case the worst happens!)

I have been using a SATA drive until now so I can’t compare this against other m.2 drives, but the comparison against the SATA is unbelievable.

Until now I have used my computer for web and email with some gaming. Not a huge gamer so we are not talking about needing something capable of running any of the newer on-line games but I do have VR which runs perfectly so not that bad. I am now using my computer more, so thought a slight upgrade was a good idea and this drive was on sale.
Pretty easy to install, a little fiddly getting the small screw in with my banana fingers and and the other stuff in my computer making a tight fit. Downloaded a bit of software to clone my HDD and voila, shiny new hard drive. I am amazed at how fast my machine boots up now. It takes longer to get through the bios page than it does to get the machine logged in and working.
Only been using a few weeks and no issues so far, will update if problems occu

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe lack of documentation is a little annoying, but follow the Sony PS5 instructions and you’ll be fine.

I only used the top heatsink and a single grey thermal connection pad, secured in place with the PS5 screw and then replaced the SSD bay cover plate.

NOTE: THE THERMAL PADS HAVE A THIN PLASTIC COVER THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FOR THEM TO WORK PROPERLY AND BE SLIGHTLY ADHESIVE. Put the pad on the heatsink, install the SSD without the heatsink attached and then put the heatsink on top of the exposed chips with the thermal pad attached, having already removed the plastic covers. The heatsink will stay in place easily.

Everything OK on boot. The PS5 asks to confirm formatting and voila! I transferred a few games across very easily. I can’t comment on longevity since this has only just been installed.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought 2 of these drives during the Prime sale event, so very good value…I did pay a little less compared to the price at the time of writing this review.
I got a 512gb and the 256gb FN501 Pro, both arrived in Fikwot security sealed package. Included is the drive, a installation manual, a little screwdriver and a fixing screw for the drive which is nice of fikwot.
Installation is fairly easy, I installed an additional heatsink to both the drives to keep them cooler. Bios picked up the drives with no issues, you do need to activate the drives within windows disk management and format them to your preference.
I tested the drives in terms of stated speeds and the 512gb actually doesnt do badly at all….both read and write speeds are good. The 256gb is good at read speeds but falls short on the write speed, however it is still reasonable for budget gaming pc and more then good enough for everyday desktop use.
I cant comment on longevity just yet, but I know the seller is helpful and supportive should you need to ask for any help and support in terms of after sales service.
Overall I’m very happy so far with both the drives for what I need them for and they are working as intended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read speeds and reasonable write speeds.
