The jump starter sits in my car and hopefully will not be needed. But if my car battery fails for any reason, I can jump start the car with ease using the Gooloo jump starter.
Not had to use these, but worth the money for peace of mind if you get back from holiday and the car won’t start after being standing for 2 weeks if you are using a lot probably better to go with NOCO but for occasional use these are priced cheap enough to use in an emergency, check your negative jump point as it’s not always negative on the battery due to battery monitoring systems!
I had a flat battery, dead as a door nail. Bought this after reading reviews as I’m a female with no experience of this type of thing, but had just let my breakdown cover lapse. Reviews are correct, simple instructions, connect, and hey presto. Couldn’t believe it, only took 5 mins from flat to restart. Best thing I’ve bought in a long time and a great bit of kit to keep for the future. It even has usb ports to charge your phone etc should you need it, and a torch and a compass incorporated (you just never know!)
This battery pack is fantastic. It holds its charge for months and starts anything in seconds. I can’t believe that something this small could have the power to start or charge anything of substance, but it does. (2.5ltr diesel engine – no problem!) Comes complete with Jump leads, usb c/a adapters and a cigarette lighter socket for accessories etc. Can also charge lap tops! Top purchase at a great pricehighly recommended.
I wanted to wait a good while before putting a review of this item up. As we all know, products similar to this have a habit of failing when just out of warranty.
However. This product has been faultless in every way.
It has started my 3.6 Litre Turbo Diesel Range Rover from flat many times now using the BOOST button. It uses about 20% of the battery to start this vehicle from flat. But afterwards it will go up a few % again, only 2 or 3, but I guess that’s just the batteries recovering.
I have also used it several times on a 1.3 Litre Petrol engine. And that only uses about 7% from flat. Again, recovering a couple of % after use.
I have left it for months sat inside my glove box over winter and it didn’t lose any charge at all. I would be confident leaving this even longer, should I need to. Because even after being left that long time it still started all vehicles fine.
It even can quick charge at 100 watts, with the right charger.
I would say that this is a must have to keep in your car for emergencies.
Not only for the ability to start your car, but also for the USB functionality of it. And it also has a 12v output on it with a cigarette lighter attachment. Meaning you can use 12v items on it, such as tyre inflators and so on.
So, you can start your car, charge your phone, use 12v equipment, quick charge it. And the battery seems to last for ages.
I have not found a fault with it in any way whatsoever! I bought an extra one for the other car and also recommended one to a family member. And I suggest you get one too 🙂
Was keeping my GT3000 in its bag, in its box. Hoped the proper case would be smaller but it’s actually bigger than the box. However, the GT3000 is very well protected with a thick layer of foam around it and the top cover has plenty of room for the accessories and a couple more if you need them.
First off, the construction is very good, very rugged. The jump leads plug in satisfyingly tight, and all ports for charging your devices are well labeled and self-explanatory. There’s a bright LED light with different modes to help you at night or in low-light conditions, although it’s on the other side to where the jump leads plug in, so it isn’t in the best place. I’ve only just left a review now as I hadn’t had a chance to try out the Gooloo’s jump-starting capabilities until tonight. One of my work colleagues was stranded with a flat battery, and I leaped at the chance to offer assistance with the Gooloo. At the first turn of the key, my colleague’s diesel Kia sprung into life! My colleagues were impressed, as was I!
There was one disappointment, although it’s of my own making: this model does not have the pre-heat function for below-freezing temperatures (I hadn’t read all the descriptions properly). The model with the pre-heat function can be bought for about 20 more from the official Gooloo website.
All in all, this is a great piece of kit that instills confidence. I would recommend it.
OK – So, I returned this item and gave it decent scores.
Why?
Well, this is appears to be an Amazon exclusive and because of this there is very little information about it. Amazon’s description is rudimental at best.
This is an email response from GOOLOO customer service:
“The GE2000 jump pack is an exclusive model available on the Amazon platform, and therefore, detailed specifications for this particular model may not be available on our website. However, I can provide you with some general information.
The GE2000 jump pack is designed to be more portable and compact, making it convenient for on-the-go use. While specific technical details may vary, it typically offers sufficient power to jump-start a variety of vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, boats, and ATVs.
On the other hand, the GP2000 model, which is available on our website and also on Amazon, is a more powerful jump pack. It is designed to deliver higher cranking amps and enhanced performance, suitable for larger vehicles and engines.
Both models are equipped with safety features, such as overcharge protection, reverse polarity protection, and short circuit protection, to ensure safe and reliable jump-starting operations.
Ultimately, the choice between the GE2000 and GP2000 depends on your specific needs and preferences. If you require a more portable solution for smaller vehicles, the GE2000 may be a suitable option. If you need a higher-powered jump pack for larger vehicles, the GP2000 would be a better fit.”
I kept the GOOLOO GP2000
Hope this helps a little.
The product is well built, it doesn’t feel cheap or brittle, this is likely due to its substantial build and weight. It is able to jump start all of my vehicle, from 1.0 litre to 6.2 litres. Where it does fall short is that it boosts for short intervals meaning if the battery is dead and you jump start a car, the car can stall shortly after as the booster is no longer sending any current. My item also has a flaw where the torch function does not work at all. I have tried many different time to no avail. For the price you’d expect quality control to be better. As well as this the in car 12v charger melts with use as the plastic isn’t rated for the heat it generates which could be a fire hazard.
Does exactly what it says on the tin!
It was bought for a combination of price Vs capacity. Can start an 8 ltr diesel, but only used on a 2ltr.
Arrives with around 75% charge. It only took a short about 15 mins on my low powered phone charger to bring it to 100%.
The battery was dying on my Kuga, and was first used on this car. Very quickly rigged to the car following the instructions, and there was only enough charge in the car battery to unlock the doors. The box turned the engine over at normal speed, and it started easily.
I bought the carrying box for it too. That was a tad pricey for what it is, but holds the box and the variety of leads it comes with in two compartments.
I tried the cigar lighter charging lead to recharge the box. The wattage soared up to 105W, and within a minute or two it was back at 100%.
I’ve used all of the leads that come with it now, and have charged it off a variety of phone chargers (5 – 15W) and my laptop charger (45W). It has been useful for sorting the better chargers from the slow one – a bonus I’d never thought of!
As the car battery continued to degrade and my garage appointment still a week away it didn’t even hold enough charge to unlock the door. The alarm came up on the box indicating an error. I’d already lost the instructions, but thankfully everything you need to know is printed on the back. It instructed me that there was insufficient charge and I needed to use “Boost” mode, and how to do it. The car started first time.
I know I’m not using it to it’s full potential, but I used it every day for a fortnight until the car servicing and MOT came due, and found it completely reliable, could take a long pull off the the starter when needed, but only went down to 97% after a “boost” start. After 3 starts down to 92%. Recharges really quickly, time only depending on the capacity of the charger you have it connected to. The leads supplied with it give you every possible combination, plus one for recharging you mobile phone from it.
I’ve taken the jump leads out of the car now, and replaced then with this. No need to ask anyone to lend you their car for a jump start any more!
