Works just fine, obviously won’t fit until you mould it with the hot water. The longer you leave it in the water, the more squishy it will be when it cools.

My daughter has recently been getting into contact sports and although she has all the padding this is her first mouth guard. Simply fill a jug or cup of boiling water and submerge the gum shield for a few minutes. fish out with a tool (spoon works best) dry off or shake to rid excess hot water. place on top teeth, bite down, close mouth and suck to ensure a nice tight fit. Repeat the process if its not tight enough or becomes loose later on.

sadly there is not instructions but I hope the guide above will help you.

The gum shield is perfectly made and fit for purpose, I am particularly impressed with the added protection to the rear teeth. The storage case will help to keep it clean and to maintain its shape when not in use. Always keep clean especially before putting it back into its case.

I have had several gum shields for my eleven-year-old boy and we always struggle to get them moulded to fit. We put them in the hot water for the time specified and mould them to his teeth, but they always drop out when he opens his mouth.

This is the same, and there are no instructions so no idea how long to put them in the hot water (it does very by manufacturer).

I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the shape of my boy’s teeth!

That aside, it is a good solid shield that, as long as he keeps his mouth closed, provides good protection for the top teeth.

These are crucial for any contact martial arts, I do kickboxing and we are required to have one of these for sparring even in training. They are simple to mould, simply throw them in a cup of boiling water for a minute and them put it in your mouth and mould it to your teeth. Gives you a great level of protection and has a handy carry case to keep it away from dirt and debris.
