I used this for a 10-hour road trip and put all my homemade frozen food in it. To my surprise, the food was still frozen when I reached my destination.
Lined it with larger flatter ice blocks when me and my friend went to download festival. Our drinks stayed cool till Saturday evening after starting out on Friday morning. They were still slightly cool on the Sunday. It did a really good job. Very happy with that purchase.
This bag worked really well on a very hot day keeping drinks cool on their own in there with no additional ice along with food etc. The remaining cans were still cold when we got home.
The bag arrived and it was wrapped in plastic and also a separate bag for storage. I haven’t used it yet so can’t comment on how cold it keeps the food but it looks OK. Time will tell.
Hulongo offers a 37-liter cooler bag. Its wall comprises five layers of different materials, designed to achieve waterproofing, robustness, durability, thermal insulation, and food safety. These layers include:
A PEVA outer layer (also known as “eco vinyl”), which lacks heavy metals and is commonly used for shower curtains.
Non-woven fabric, soft to the touch but highly durable.
8mm EPE foam, providing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, resistant to water and weather.
600D Oxford polyester fabric, made from cotton and elastane or a cotton-polyester blend.
A PU-coated waterproof layer applied to one side of the base fabric, enhancing abrasion and water resistance.
This is a really useful cool bag. I’ve used it both for supermarket shopping and to carry lunch on a day out. It has excellent capacity which is especially useful when shopping and a number of extra pockets useful on a day out.
The bag is supplied in a bag, in a bag. The second bag is useful for storing the cool bag when not in use. The cool bag has a small zipped pocket on the back and a larger padded zipped section on the front. Both sides have open pockets. Inside the main lid is a further open pocket. The outer material feels durable, inside the main compartment is a thermally reflective material and the walls, lid and base are filled with a good amount of insulating material.
The bag has a pair of carry handles that zip together, an optional shoulder strap and two more handles on the sides that are useful for moving it around in a car boot.
I’ve been very pleased with the cool bag so far and hope to get many years of use out of it. Currently priced at just under 30 it’s not cheap but if you’re looking for a good cool bag I can recommend it.
The Hulongo Cool Bag is a great quality bag ideal for taking food on picnics. It’s a nice design, simple to use, comes with a shoulder strap and has 37L of storage. Great price too.
We took advantage of the warmer weather and headed away for the day with lots of fruit, yogurts, cold meats, cheese, drinks etc and this bag accommodated all of them and kept them lovely and cool when combined with some ice packs. Sturdy and well made with comfortable handles.
So, this is a fairly large cooler bag and can easily transport a picnic for a family. Alternatively it is strong enough to take about 30 330ml cans. The bag is fairly bulky as it is well insulated and the exterior fabric is a heavy duty, but good looking, oxford style textile. The straps are all wide and comfortable to use, but I’d be inclined to not use the shoulder strap if the bag is laden with tins of beer. Te front zip pocket is quite generous for accessories. Although not electrically cooled, we used the bag last weekend for salad storage and with 2 cool blocks it kept everything fresh and cool for 5 hours without problems. Aftercare is simple as the fabrics are wipe down, my only complaint is that, in common with most soft cool bags, its easy to lose bits of food in the creases.
Overall, this is a nice item to use and should last a few years of picnicking
With summer fast approaching i was on the look out for a large cool bag for those picnics, with a young family there’s a lot of different foods we need to bring along. I ordered the Hulongo cool bag because it seems to fit the bill with its 37l capacity.
On opening i found the bag to be very well made and very big and quite lightweight which is a pleasant surprise. It feels like a quality product with a well insulated internal chamber and outer layer made from polyester. The bag folds down very easily to become flat making it easier to store but also expands to a generous size. This is much more practical than the cool box it’s replacing.
The bag can maintain temperature for around 12 hours, albeit i wont be travelling items that require this but on recent tests from a shopping trip i can confirm the bag performed well around the 2/3 hour mark. This gives me confidence it’ll be great on those long road trips. As the bags made from polyester it has a nice durable finish and with inside being completed sealed i can imagine it fairly waterproof too.
I found the bag to be very practical also with the multi compartments on the sides for additional storage and zipped front storage area. Cleaning is a doddle with the outside easily cleaned with a wet cloth. The bag is also easy to transport with the included handles and shoulder carry strap. Overall it’s a stylish, practical large cooler bag finished in a lovely grey. It offers great practically and excellent value for money.
The problem is of coarse that we have to get back to the house fridge ASAP especially in the summer months as as you know cars can get very hot very quickly.
On longer trips I even sometime take my portable fridge.
So when I seen this Hulongo Cool bag I knew immediately I had to try it and hoped it would be good quality enough and had good cool bag properties.
I was therefore relieved to see that the bag on first use was perfect.
It is very well put together for the price with good materials and stitching.
It has two zipped outer pockets and one mesh pocket and also a standard sleeve pocket.
It has one big mesh pocket on the lid inside.
There are two side handles and two end handles as well as a shoulder strap.
The bag is a very generous size as well and is very deep.
This would make for a brilliant fishing bag.
For us though, with a few ice bags inside along with fresh meat, and frozen food items then this bag is excellent to have as a groceries bag especially as it is so well put together and can take the weight.
