After a past jaw injury, I hoped this would help restore strength, and it certainly delivered. Using the three-level progression system, I began at the beginner level and have made my way to the advanced. My jaw muscles feel stronger, and I’ve noticed an improvement in my facial appearance. Coming back from hill-walking or after a long day of gardening, I can easily fit in a quick session. The quality materials used ensure there’s no discomfort, and the handy storage containers keep everything organised. However, be mindful if you have a sensitive gag reflex, as it may take some getting used to. The included instructions are clear, and they even come with spare biting strips and a necklace to prevent dropping them while exercising. This has certainly been worth trying, especially to maintain muscle tone as I age.
As I’m getting older I’ve noticed my face changing and I wanted to tone it up a bit and try and reduce my double chin.
The jaw exercisers each come with their own storage box, to keep them in when you’re not using them so they stay clean and hygenic. They come with two spare biting strips for each exercised, and a necklace for you to use with the jaw exerciser. I recommend that you use the necklace with the exerciser, especially when you’re starting out, as it does take time to get used to holding it in your mouth as you’re biting it and the necklace will prevent it from falling on the floor.
The exercisers come with clear instructions as to how you clean and use them, and how you work up to the bigger sizes.
A word of warning though to anyone else like me with a sensitive gag reflex, these do make you gag. I wasn’t anticipating it, so went straight in using the beginners one aiming to complete 5-10 mins, but I couldn’t get through a minute before I was gagging.
I will keep persevering with this, but I think it’s going to take some time before I can use them properly and start to see whether it’s having any impact.
From the couple of minutes I have managed to do, it is very easy to use once you get used to holding it in your mouth. It definitely works out your jaw and face, I can feel the muscles working.
For the price, I think that it is worth giving it a try to see if it’s something that works for you, just be aware that it might take you time to work yourself up to the full workout.
