Trs bien fait son job. Seul bmol si vous utilisez une protection en silicone qui recouvre la camra. Elle chevauche un peu le socle des lentilles amovibles (ce qui n’est pas le cas des lentilles fixes, modle plus rependu auparavant) et on l’a voit sur les images… Hormis ce point, ces lentilles amovibles sont trs pratiques nettoyer et changer !
Went on a 4 day motorcycle trip and already on the first day wiping off some pretty nasty stuff on the lens covers. A lot of bugs hit my helmet, so I’m sure the camera will be taking a few as well, and I’m confident the protectors will have no issue handling the bigger, hearvier stuff that comes its way. Easy to remove and reattach, making cleaning much easier.
Nutze die insta frs Motorrad fahren und die wechselbaren linsenkappen sind ideal zu tauschen falls doch ein Flugobjekt (Stein oder Biene) es trifft .
Bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit bilde sich wie immer Nebel. Daher Empfehlung dann einfach abnehmen und Filme
Quando comprai la X3 montai subito le lenti protettive, tolte e buttate dopo la prima uscita, era primavera e nel bosco in moto c’era ancora dello sbalzo termico che mi ha fatto creare condensa nelle lenti quindi le ho appunto bocciate subito! La protezione serve perch in moto pu capitare un sassolino o altro ma impensabile che per un po’ di condensa si devono poi smontare(le vecchie quindi), scollare, rimettere l’adesivo ecc ecc… FINALMENTE, hanno pensato questo sistema! e devo dire brava Insta360 che ha portato il sistema della X4 anche sulla X3!
Lo consiglio a tutti, la qualit non ne risente, magari si nota leggermente di pi la giunzione delle lenti ma davvero un minimo ma salvate le lenti! In caso si sporcano non ci vuole nulla a pulirle, prima era diciamo “impraticabile”!
Had to replace a lens, lesson learned. Simple installation, and I like the increased ease of removal over the previous sticky version. Might get a second set to have on hand in case I get a scratch during a trip. Did not affect the quality of my test videos and stitch line. Combined with a screen protector and cage, I have increased peace of mind. Hope to never “test”…
If you’re anticipating that these won’t scratch, yes they will. The point is to protect the real lens and that’s exactly what they do. These are plastic and they will scratch with debris and drops. I dropped my X3 and unfortunately the back lens guard cracked but the lens itself was completely perfect.
Keep in mind that these aren’t sealed so you must remove them and clean them from time to time to get the dust out.
Also do NOT forget to turn on lens guard in your camera settings. If you don’t, you will have noticeable stitching issues.
Once thing that makes NO SENSE is that Insta360, at the time of this review, does not make the Lens Guards sold separately or as a pack. Why do I need to purchase the whole Removable Lens Guards that come with the base if the lens are removable?! That’s incredibly stupid. It should be a 1 time purchase and an option to buy just the lens.
After dropping my insta360 I decided to buy these lens guards, they are very simple to install, now I can relax when filming, another great product from Insta360. Many thanks.
I’m a new Insta360 X3 owner, and intend to use the camera for filming motorcycle rides/tours, so definitely need lens protection from stones and general road crap.
Easy to fit, and having read reviews of the old style sticky lens protectors steaming up, it’s reassuring to know these can pop off quickly for a clean if needed.
Would be nice if they included a spare couple of the plastic protectors, as I’m sure they’re pence to manufacture, and 20 is a little excessive in my book.
