We recently got my little boy a stunt scooter for his birthday so although he has a helmet from riding his bike when I saw this set I thought it would equip him much better. We have recently discovered the local skate park and it scares me half to death when I see the kids going up and down the ramps! This gives him much more protection than just the helmet as he can protect his knees and elbows too. He’s not so bothered about the wrist guards but the pads are invaluable from saving him from scrapes and bumps being way worse.
He also likes the cool red and blue colours as he thinks its a bit like a spiderman design!
My grandson is getting very much into scooter riding, and being young he’s prone to the odd spill, so better safe than sorry! This is a well-made, comprehensive kit which has all you need to pad the little ones out and – just as important – get them in to the habit of lidding up before riding. Everything is as adjustable as it needs to be for a good fit on an athletic 5-year old and he loves the strong colours.
