I bought these as I regularly do aqua fit exercise classes in my local pool and these help me to maintain a good grip on the bottom of the pool. I especially like that they have an adjustable string at the back so I can make sure that they are a snug but comfortable fit when being worn.
I have used these shoes on my wild swimming expeditions have find them very comfortable, stable and safe whilst walking on shingle and pebbly beaches. They have also been good at standing on sock when putting your feet down whilst a short distance from the shoreline and standing on rocks.
Look Nice, Reasonable Construction so we’ll see how they last? Sizing is pretty bad, I’m always a UK Size 10, these were massive & falling off as the pull cord doesn’t do much! Ordered a UK Size 9 & still large but stay on my feet, order one size smaller to allow for no socks & should be ok!
I am someone who hates shoes. But I need some foot covering around the garden (thorns) and streets. I have used these soft slip-on sand shoes for several years. They are comfortable and reasonably durable. I get through a pair a year.
The foam insoles are loose and generally get detached or lost quite quickly, but I am quite happy to use them with just the thin rubber sole under my feet. It lets me feel the ground.
I star removed for greedy Amazon’s moving price points. These were on for 15 something, within 5 minutes, they were 16.99 (which is what I paid. My wife loves them. So I bought her a pair – 17.99, then looked at my shoes again, -19.99 – all in less than 24 hours. Sadly, Amazon gets away with these sharp practices! Anyway, great shoes!
There was no problem using them on any ride …even the really tall Tower of Power…
Only problem I had was that after a long time walking around the insoles started to ride out at the heel.
I will qualify this by saying that I am very flat footed and walk ‘strangely’ for want of a better description….cant even keep flip-flops on my feet so others may not have this problem.
To be fair I bet the shoes would have been comfortable without the insoles…and certainly better than bare and sore feet.
These are the only type of water shoe I have ever used so can’t say if better/worse than others but they saved my fet so for me definitely a good buy.
