Bought this mouse for use with my MacBook. Incredibly happy. Mouse is comfortable in the palm, battery life is fantastic and it connects to my laptop immediately. The range of buttons available is great, with the ability to customise to various functions helping to increase productivity. Would 100% recommend
Nice solid metal scroll wheel that can free spin and lock to a stop. 1000% better than the 1/2 price equivalates out there. well worth the money but for me i do need an ergo slanted mouse (personal choice)
Full time photo video editor – saved me so much time and clicks.
Literally in my top 10 best things I’ve ever bought.
No more Control C Control V Control A its all just there.
I’m a mac user and found this mouse didn’t work that well until I (1) Installed log Options +, Logitech’s bloated configuration software and (2) installed Mos to correct the things logi Options + gets wrong. Scrolling is particularly frustrating until you’ve done this, just horribly inconsistent.
The hardware is great, but the software lets it down big time. If it worked well out of the box I’d give 5 stars.
Using with android so cannot use or setup all feature, but I new this when I bought it.i have it connected to s24 ultra s9 ultra and s6 lite over Bluetooth easy change between devices easy to connect not like some logitechbdevices I’ve had like pebble and k380.nice materials used on mouse,l like the fact ithe mouse is recycled materials partly and the packaging is cardboard, which wasnoneog the reason I choose the manifactures products.will be buying hopefully matching keyboard if it ever come back in stock.9 of 10 highly recommend
So I’ve read too many opinions on this mouse, it feels like some people love it, others hate it. I’ve hesitated too long to buy this but at the end I just went ahead. And it’s so good that I did! I’m a long time magic trackpad user, like 10 years or so and I loved it but because of an elbow injury I needed something where my arm can rest on the table. So this mouse is amazing, even out of the box with the Mac. I don’t have any of the issues people talk about in here. Butter smooth non jerky scrolling, tracking just works, and I love the silent clicking. The only thing I don’t like is the rubbery touch but I guess that’s just a subjective thing. I’d buy it again without thinking.
I have a large hand but this mouse accommodates it well, it’s a little heavy but you don’t really notice it due to the evenly placed feet that it slides on. There’s stacks of adjustments to keep you busy, the only downside to this little monster is it is QUITE EXPENSIVE!!.
I wore my earlier version of this mouse out yesterday after a good 3 years of 10 hours a day 5 days a week minimum for work, it was so good i thought I’d get the newest version to replace it… we’ll it was the best decision I’ve made in ages!
The smoothness and the softness and the speed!!! Absolutely outstanding! Worth every penny. I’ve only been using it for a couple of hours today, but I love it already!
Can’t wait to use it again tomorrow .
So, this mouse is – rightly – well regarded by a large number of people. I needed to replace a venerable Microsoft mouse that I’d had for over 10 years, and really glad that I’ve jumped onto the Logitech MX Master 3S.
It’s really comfortable (for right handed users), the scroll wheel is superb (and I really like the automatic switch from ratcheted to smooth) and pointer tracking seems to be spot on.
I wish that there was slightly more ‘click’ on the main mouse buttons, but I get that’s subjective, and I find that I have to make a conscious effort to move my thumb to hit the ‘Gesture’ button.
The only real downside I find is that there is no on-board storage for the Bolt Receiver – bitter experience tells me that means it’ll go missing at some point in the future. That said, the Bluetooth connectivity is excellent and I don’t notice any lag when connected that way (I’m not a hardcore gamer, others may disagree).
Overall though, I highly recommend it.
The way people and reviewers go on about this mouse, you would think it was a gadget that would just replace and improve any other pointing device and improve your productivity immesurably.
Don’t get me wrong, this is a good mouse but it has it’s problems, at least for me.
The design is very nice. I liked it’s weight – heavier than a gaming mouse, it has a good weight to it.
It feels like it is well constructed and the surface has a rubbery coating so your hand does not slip.
There are contoured sides and a ‘shelf’ on the left side for your right hand thumb to ‘rest’.
There are the usual two large buttons and a scroll wheel in the middle, which can also be clicked.
Flat on the thumb ‘shelf’, is a new button for gestures. This button is horizontal so you have to press down on it wwhile you move the mouse up, down, left or right to swap desktops or activate Launchpad. I found the combination of pressing down with the thumb and moving the mouse awkward because you are trying to hold the mouse with your thumb at the same time.
The idea of the gestures button though is great. If only it could have been placed somewhere else. It’s still useable though and helpful.
There are two buttons immediatley above where the thumb rests, initially programmed as back and forward for browsers but most of the buttons can be reassigned using the Logi Options+ softwhere.
Right above these two buttons is the side to side scrolling wheel. This is in an awkward place for regular use, but it’s ok.
Above the main scroll wheel is one for settig the scroll type – either a super fast and loose free spinning mode or a more exact magnetically constrained mode which gives you some feedback and a bumpy feel to each small turn.
So the design is OK to good with some annoyances but when I began using the mouse I encountered another problem: I have two systems – a Mac Mini and a Del Windows laptop, I use for work.
I switch the systems with a KVM switch. I have zero issues moving from one system to another and back again using the older Logitech Ergo Trackball and the unifying receiver. With this newer mouse and updated Bolt receiver and software Logi Options+, the scroll wheels stop working on Windows after switching from the Mac system. All the other buttons work and the mouse movement is still detected but the scroll wheels don’t. I have to pick up the mouse, flip it over and press the bluetooth connection button three times so it is disconnected and reconnected to the 2.4 ghz receiver.
Otherwise the mouse feels as good as any other I’ve used in the last 20 years.
You may think, these are just niggles and not deal breakers but when I pay the best part of a hundred pounds for a mouse, I want it to be an upgrade on the older device, it’s replacing and to work perfectly. With this, it’s been hyped up as the be all and end all but has some design issues, is awkward to use with some gestures and has to be disconnected and reconnected each time I swap systems. More issues using this than I had with the older technology. Even given the addional buttons and decent software this is disappointing.
I spent weeks deciding whether or not to splash out on this mouse for design based work. In the end I caught it on sale one day and so glad that I did.
It is comfy to use, the material feels nice in your hand, cable free, battery life is excellent (as in weeks/months), quiet, works on any pretty much any surface (including glass table top), the weight/roll and accuracy on the wheel, can customise buttons for specific apps.
Only negatives for me is there is nowhere to store the usb receiver and also can be difficult to switch connection back to the usb receiver after using bluetooth. The horizontal wheel hasn’t been particularly useful as use is inconsistent among different apps. For some people, no left handed version will be a major issue.
Alright, strap in folks, because I’m about to gush over this clicky comrade, the Logitech MX Master 3S. I’ve had my hands on some fancy mice — you know, the kind that cost more than a decent meal at a Michelin-starred joint. But THIS one? It’s like it was handcrafted by the tech gods themselves.
The weight? Imagine Thor’s hammer, but if Thor were a computer nerd who liked ergonomic design. And the scroll wheel — oh, the scroll wheel! It’s smoother than a jazz solo on a lazy Sunday. I’m telling you, scrolling through spreadsheets feels borderline indecent.
Dive into YouTube, and it’s like a love letter to this mouse. “Not great?” Never heard of her. This is the king of Clickville, the sultan of Scroll, the emperor of Ergo!
Now, the Mac connectivity… Let’s say it’s like trying to tango with two left feet. It works, but it’s clunky. Like trying to fit a square peg in a round Apple ecosystem. It’s like the mouse and the Mac are on a first date, and it’s super awkward.
So maybe I’m now saving pennies for that Apple mouse, the one you charge from the bottom — because why not make it inconvenient, right? Until then, I’ll bask in the glory of my Master 3S, the little mouse that could (and did) outshine them all.
For the past 10 years, I’ve exclusively used Apple mice. Initially, it was the old Mighty Mouse with a small ball instead of a scroll wheel, then the first and second generations of the Magic Mouse. And I thought it was a great and only solution if you’re into Apple. However, I always wanted to try Logitech since I’ve seen too many good reviews from YouTubers. Finally bought it, tested it, and have a few thoughts:
– The mouse is large. I primarily planned to use this one in the home office and leave the Magic Mouse in the backpack for work outside of the home. That’s how it’ll probably be :).
– The mouse is comfortable. My hand got tired in the first few hours, but by the second day, I got used to it, and now it’s a pure pleasure.
– Lots of buttons. You can customize them in Logi Options+, special software for this purpose. Interestingly, you can set up different configurations for different programs.
– The mouse is very sensitive, and 8K DPI is a lot. Too much for me :).
– Infinite scroll is surprisingly convenient. You can switch between scrolling with light clicks or completely smoothly. The Magic Mouse’s touchpad provides a completely different experience. Convenient in use.
– The build quality is top-notch. Good plastic, rubberized base. It really feels like a premium product.
– You can connect it to three devices simultaneously and switch between them. You can connect via USB dongle or Bluetooth.
– I haven’t had a chance to fully test the battery life, but I have no doubts that I won’t have to charge it frequently. Unlike the Apple mouse, which needs to be flipped over, this one can be charged while working.
After over a week of daily use, I have only pleasant impressions. Moreover, if I had to choose between buying the Apple Magic Mouse again or this one, I would choose Logitech.
The Logitech MX Master 3S is a flagship premium mouse.
The build quality is excellent, from the soft and comfortable coating of the mouse, to the premium metal elements. The mouse has a virtually silent click which retains a tactile and positive feel in the hand, without a loud and annoying noise.
The mouse offers a lot of customisation options for the buttons which can allow for a more efficient workflow. For example I have set the two side buttons to be Copy and Paste. This allows me to quickly copy and paste data between spreadsheets.
The battery life is excellent, after 3 months of use I have had to charge it once. This is an impressive leap forward compared to my previous Logitech mouse which lasted 10 hours per charge. Unfortunately the battery is fixed in the mouse meaning if it fails in a few years you will not easily be able to replace it.
The ergonomic design of the mouse is good but not quite perfect. There is a slight tilt on the mouse that is good for your wrists but means that you hard feels like it is falling off the edge. Over time I have found that the ring and little finger can become sore and agitated from the position. My previous Logitech mouse had a similar design but was much more comfortable.
You are certainly getting a premium product, which should be expected at this price point. It will be subject to the individual to decide whether this is cost efficient for them. For anyone using a computer daily in their job it does make sense to have a productive and ergonomic mouse.
I’ll start by admitting that this product does have a bit of a learning curve. Initially, I found myself struggling to adapt to its interface and features, which were quite different from what I was accustomed to. However, with some patience and time, I began to see the value and efficiency it added to my daily tasks. Eventually, it reached a point where I couldn’t envision going back to my old workflow — this product has truly become an indispensable part of my routine.
That said, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I encountered a significant issue with the dongle used to connect my mouse. I noticed a persistent lag that was particularly noticeable when using my Mac’s external monitor. This was frustrating and impacted my productivity. However, I found a workaround by switching the connection from the dongle to Bluetooth, which completely resolved the lag issues. I would advise potential buyers to be aware of this potential hiccup and prepare to make a similar switch if necessary.
Overall, while there are some challenges to overcome, the benefits of this product significantly outweigh the initial inconvenience. I would recommend it to anyone willing to invest a little time to get accustomed to its features. Your patience will be rewarded with a much more streamlined and efficient workflow.
As an avid user of Logitech products, I recently upgraded to the Logitech MX Master 3S wireless performance mouse, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my productivity and precision!
Firstly, the ergonomic design of this mouse is simply brilliant. It fits perfectly in my hand, allowing me to work for hours without any discomfort or strain. The customizable buttons on the side are conveniently placed and easy to reach, providing quick access to various functions and shortcuts. This has significantly improved my workflow and saved me a ton of time.
The scrolling experience on the MX Master 3S is unparalleled. With its advanced MagSpeed Electromagnetic scrolling, I can effortlessly navigate through lengthy documents or webpages, making scrolling feel smooth and natural. The precision wheel mode is a fantastic addition, allowing me to easily switch between ratcheted and hyper-fast scrolling with just a flick of the thumb.
Connectivity is seamless with this mouse. The wireless feature works flawlessly, and the included USB dongle ensures a stable connection without any lag or interference. Additionally, the rechargeable battery lasts for an impressive amount of time, eliminating the need for constant battery replacements.
The Darkfield High Precision sensor on this mouse is a true gem. It tracks on virtually any surface, including glass, with incredible accuracy. Whether I’m working at my desk or on-the-go, this mouse adapts effortlessly to different environments, ensuring precise cursor control at all times.
Overall, the Logitech MX Master 3S is a top-notch wireless performance mouse that has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It has revolutionized the way I work and has become an essential tool for my daily tasks. If you’re looking to enhance your productivity and precision, I highly recommend investing in this extraordinary mouse. It’s worth every penny!
I have never owned a mouse in my life. Rarely write reviews. Love computers though. Here’s me at 10 at night writing a review when I could be smashing Cyberpunk 2077. But no.
Reason for 5 stars –
I recently started an apprentice developer role which has been a dream since childhood, and have used a Mac for last 4 years purely trackpad. I have never in my life needed a mouse (especially personal), and honestly out of pure ignorance have never been able to realise that mouses have got more advanced since school days.
So much more advanced.
I was reluctant to get this and tried to convince myself the work computers small trackpad will be sufficient. On the recommendations from colleagues who had the master 2, it was prime day and I had just been paid, so impulsively bought this MX3, I regretted it instantly if I am honest (although the 2 would have been more than sufficient for me I won’t lie). Damn you Amazon and your marketing !!
I am still an apprentice, but all I can do is laugh at myself for regretting buying this mouse.
In the space of a few days my navigation issues were a thing of the past and as of this moment writing this have finally experienced a proper ‘flow state’. Managing to use keyboard commands through the mouse, the gestures, the ability to just fly to where you want to go is just mind-boggling and this is a SERIOUSLY handy piece of tech. I’m a bit of an apple nerd and they could only dream of this if I am honest. A lot of the beauty is in its simplicity and functionality that cannot really be streamlined (until we use our actual hands I guess..)
Look I am an early days in my career and this will likely be the only mouse I ever buy, its that good.
I have got the Logi Keys Mini which pair perfectly and both can be used on Mac and Windows simultaneously which is a bonus. It’s just a shame I am early in my career as I think I’d see even more improvements.
Just buy it and thank me later!
Only thing I will add is that do not buy this if you are left handed (they do a left handed one btw), as I realise how amazing my review is and that I may cause someone to impulsively buy it like myself. OOOOPS.
Long review below, quick pros and cons here:
+ Muffled but still tactile click means no annoying others
+ Sleek design and software
+ Filled to the brim with features to speed up your work
– Software has some minor issues
– Slightly awkward grip for larger hands
– No place to store the dongle (I recommend buying a case anyway)
The main difference between the 3S and the 3, besides improved internals, is the quiet click. I thought this would feel weird, as someone used to clicky gamer mice, but it still feels satisfying, whilst not being as annoying or loud for those around you.
Some other key features of the mouse are the free-scroll toggle, the side scroll wheel, and the action button. I’ll talk a little about each.
The free-scroll (I can’t remember the marketing name for it) unlocks the ‘stepping’ nature that standard scroll wheels have, where you can feel the click as it rotates. This mouse (I assume using magnets) detects when you’re scrolling fast, and disables this lock, allowing the wheel to spin as fast as you can spin it. You can also press the button behind the wheel to permanently disable this lock, though I will say this feels odd to use in some situations. The friction is so low that if you do a quick, fast spin, it will keep spinning for long enough that you can forget you did it, and you’ll wonder why the page keeps scrolling.
The side scroll wheel comes in handy, mostly for planning large documents or spreadsheets. You can remap it, maybe to changing brush size or something else, on an app-per-app basis, using the software, but I’ll talk about that later. This wheel (maybe more of a barrel) doesn’t have free-scroll, but you’d hardly need it.
The final feature is the action button, hidden away in the thumb rest. This is kind of a ‘5-in-1’, as you can perform 5 actions: clicking it down, or clicking it down and then dragging it in the 4 cardinal directions. (Again, remappable in software) I’m yet to use this regularly but I can see it being powerful.
Now, the software. The UI is clean and well designed, and it was reasonably simple to set up the mouse, from which you can set up profiles based on each app you have, and change what each button does. However, I’ve had issues where certains apps (notably some games so not everyone’s use case) don’t detect the inputs of the forward and back thumb buttons, at least until I open the Logi+ Options App. I would say your mileage may vary though as this only started happening recently and may be a personal issue.
One final point would be I’ve experienced some discomfort holding this mouse, but this may be due to having larger hands and not properly adjusting my grip to this more ergonomic style, especially as I’m noticing it less or getting used to it. Again, your mileage may vary.
So overall, a 4* experience, some minor nitpicks keeping it from perfect. I’d definitely still recommend if you want to streamline your creative or productive workflow, but if you don’t need the bells and whistles there are similarly efficient mice that are cheaper.
I’m quite pleased with my recent acquisition, the Logitech MX Master 3S – Wireless Performance Mouse. It has become such an essential tool for my work that I even bought another one to use at home. This mouse is a game-changer in terms of productivity and comfort.
The ultra-fast scrolling feature is a standout. It makes navigating through long documents and web pages a breeze. The ergonomics of the mouse are well-designed, providing a comfortable grip even during extended usage. The 8K DPI (dots per inch) sensor ensures precise and responsive tracking, which is a must for any task, especially in my line of work.
Furthermore, the wireless connectivity is reliable, and the battery life is impressive. It’s great to have a mouse that you can count on throughout the day without worrying about constant recharging. The build quality is solid, and it exudes a professional look and feel.
In summary, the Logitech MX Master 3S is a top-notch wireless mouse that combines performance, ergonomics, and durability. It’s an excellent choice for those who value efficiency and comfort in their work setup, and I highly recommend it. A bit over priced.
I recently made the switch from the Apple Magic Trackpad to the Logitech MX Master 3S, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! Having used the Magic Trackpad for years, I was a bit hesitant to try a traditional mouse, but the MX Master 3S has completely won me over.
First and foremost, the precision is outstanding. The customizable buttons and ergonomic design make navigation a breeze, whether you’re working on your Windows PC or MacBook Air M1. It’s a true all-in-one solution for multi-device users.
The seamless transition between devices is where the MX Master 3S truly shines. With the ability to effortlessly switch between my Windows and MacBook computers, it has eliminated the need for multiple peripherals. The convenience of not having to juggle different mice for different systems is a huge plus.
I stumbled upon this mouse thanks to the internet hype, and I must say, it lives up to its reputation. The build quality is top-notch, and the battery life is impressive. I can go for days without worrying about recharging, and when I do need to, it’s a quick and hassle-free process.
But the Logitech experience doesn’t stop there. I also invested in the MX Keys Mini keyboard to complement the MX Master 3S. The combination of these two peripherals is a match made in productivity heaven. The MX Keys Mini is compact yet functional, and the backlit keys are a nice touch.
Yes, the price tag is on the higher side, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. The Logitech MX Master 3S and MX Keys Mini have seamlessly integrated into my workflow, enhancing both efficiency and comfort.
If you’re a multi-device user who values precision, comfort, and seamless connectivity, the Logitech MX Master 3S is a fantastic investment. It’s safe to say that I’m now a Logitech enthusiast, and I can’t recommend this mouse enough!
Allow me to introduce you to the Logitech MX Master 3S, a mouse that has truly transformed my computing experience and earned every bit of its well-deserved 5-star rating. In this review, I’ll delve into its exceptional features, with a special emphasis on its remarkable battery life.
Design and Build (5/5): This mouse is more than a mere tool; it’s a work of art. Its sleek, contemporary design and premium feel make it a joy to hold. The ergonomic design fits my hand seamlessly, and the materials used in its construction exude quality, putting an end to hand discomfort and the cheap plastic feel found in lesser mice.
Scrolling Sensation (5/5): The scrolling wheel is a standout feature. It delivers an impressively smooth and precise scrolling experience. Whether you prefer a clicky, line-by-line scroll or a lightning-fast flick, this mouse accommodates your scrolling needs perfectly, making it ideal for extended document reading or extensive web browsing.
Customisable Buttons (5/5): One of the mouse’s standout features is the ability to customise its numerous buttons. With a plethora of buttons at your disposal, you can configure them for specific tasks across various applications. Personally, I’ve set up a plethora of shortcuts, effectively creating a personal productivity shortcut paradise.
Precision and Speed (5/5): The mouse’s sensor is nothing short of exceptional. It offers unparalleled accuracy, and you can effortlessly switch between different DPI settings on the fly. Whether you’re engaged in graphic design or immersing yourself in a gaming session, this mouse caters to your every precision and speed requirement.
Battery Life for Days (5/5): Now, let’s talk about the mouse’s crowning glory – its exceptional battery life. I’ve used this mouse for weeks on end without needing a recharge. Yes, you heard that correctly, weeks. And when the time finally arrives for a recharge, a quick 1-minute charge grants you hours of uninterrupted usage. Gone are the days of fretting about a mid-workday battery drain.
Easy Multi-Device Switching (5/5): Switching between devices is an effortless process. I’ve successfully paired this mouse with both my laptop and desktop. With a simple press of a button, I can seamlessly transition between the two, a true time-saver for multitaskers.
Logitech Options Software (5/5): The Logitech Options software is where the real magic unfolds. It provides an extensive array of customisation options. You can fine-tune settings, create application-specific profiles, and even establish gesture controls. It’s akin to having a mouse that dances to your unique tune.
In summary, the Logitech MX Master 3S is, without a doubt, the finest mouse I’ve ever had the privilege to use. It brings together stunning aesthetics, outstanding performance, and a plethora of customisation possibilities. And when it comes to battery life, it’s a true game-changer. If you’re serious about boosting your efficiency at work or gaining a competitive edge in your gaming endeavors, this mouse will be your indispensable companion. My wholehearted recommendation – it’s worth every penny!
