Well I am 68 and I run 3 3/4 mile 6 morning’s a week, this morning I did my first run in these trainers, to start with I tied the laces so I could slip them on and off, but it didn’t feel right for running, so after tightening the laces to a firm comfortable grip around my foot made a massive difference they were beautiful, I would say the best running shoe I’ve ever had, highly recommended, 5 star trainers. Can’t wait for tomorrow morning.
Received packing box was broken open, but shoes were ok, I always order a size bigger and wide fit these shoes just fitted and the extra wide fit was not that wide but only time will tell how long they will last.
As a 71 year old I, in common with many getting on in years, have had foot problems. My left foot gets pains in the ball of my foot and my right foot has an issue with swelling in my big toe joint.
The walking/running shoes I purchased have worked wonders for both feet. No more pain or swelling. Comfortable and a pleasure, literally, to wear.
To anyone in a similar boat to me, and want relief this was the specification of my order:
1. Order half a size bigger than your normal size.
2. Order a XWide size.
It gives room for your feet to spread, and believe me, what a difference they make. No more issues and the cushoning prevents the ball pain, with the extra width preventing pressure across the toes. Brilliant to walk the dogs with no pain. Great product for us oldies.
Early days, so perhaps shouldn’t be reviewing yet as I’ve seen other reviews complaining about the longevity but… I have arthritis in my knees AND plantar faciitis and I haven’t been able to walk any distance of late without a lot of pain. Seeing a physio. Had a day out in these today and they’ve seriously been great! I’ve walked round all day and although I can’t deny there was still some pain, these really helped big style. And they look the part too. They do have mega heels though, I feel taller in them! And as a result push your feet forward a bit which many would find uncomfortable but I think that part eases the pressure on my knees to some extent. So far, very pleased, but will edit my review if they fall to pieces in a fortnight.
If like me you have wide feet or feet that swell up in warm weather. These are a great choice and 100% comfortable. Will be buying more very soon as i want a white pair as well.
I have a totally fallen arch, which can be very painful. Even using other shoes with ‘arch fit’ inners, after being on my feet for an hour my foot is really sore.
I thought I’d give these shoes a go as they boasted of being wide fitting with good arch support. I am very glad I did!
I took them out for the first time and was so impressed.
The wide fit is really comfortable. The arch support really works. After being on my feet for two and a half hours my bad foot was nowhere near as painful as it would have been after just one hour in other shoes.
I will definitely buy more from this brand.
Highly recommended.
Picked up from Amazon locker this evening, got home, put them on and went straight out to walk the dog. Back home 4 miles later, I have to say these are much more roomy and supportive than my Skechers. Skechers feel superficially like walking on marsmallows but if you fitness walk like me yoy find you just sink into them and waste energy. These give enough comfort but much better traction. They are more robust but not overly heavy and the natural foot shaped toebox means my toes (and bunion) don’t hurt at all. The extra width gives great stability too. Mine are black and very low key so you’d have no idea or interest in branding, I just wanted to prioritise walking longer distances and times pain free and they certainly deliver on that.
I bought these as I have very wide feet and struggle to get good quality trainers.
They have just had what could be considered a serious work out assessment, 10 days of wearing them at Universal Studios in Florida , so a minimum of 10 hrs a day rising to 14hrs on some days. and in excess of 20,000 steps each day.
I have had no pain of cramped feet that usually occurs in less wide trainers, this was amazing to experience .
I didn’t have any ache in my feet given the really good arch support , and effective lacing keeping them secure on my foot (its important to realise there are many different ways to lace a show that gives different benefits of fit on a foot , do the research).
The only slight comment, they are very large in foot print area and somewhat heavy , I found myself at times on stairs going down catching the rear sole, and the weight in comparison to other trainers I considered , significantly heavier (but as mentioned no effect on feet or leg muscle ache) .
They score a 93% rather than 100% only on the weight factor and only because its out of a score of 5 * in each section above , so don’t read too much in to this .
The real satisfaction proof of any product is, “would you buy again ?” , and the answer in my case is , TOTALLY YES .. without any reservation, if they can deliver, pain free feet on 10 days of Universal Studios and in excess of 20,000 steps a day, every day , they are doing something right , I will be now buying a second pair on this positive outcome.
