Great bit of kit, for an amazing price, easy to assemble well made and being cordless easy to store(comes with a handy storage bracket) and to use. Great for home gardening but not sure about professional use. But all in all good value for money
Bought this being a little apprehensive. The battery life is great , easy and light weight to use. This is so easy to use and I won’t go back to using any other kind of strimmer.
Very fast delivery and a fantastic little machine. Very quiet and powerful. Only tried one of the smaller blades but really happy.
I fully charged batteries before using. I used one gor well over half hour and still powerful and battery left.
As a power tool freak been autistic I couldn’t wait to get this came next day and well packaged, did have to follow photos for assembly off YouTube as not very clear but simple enough to work out, power lasts ages my garden is 22sqm by 22sqm and lasted a full two days and that was using all blames the circular one was abit warey on it was any good but oh it is got through a 5mm branch maybe a little thicker, cut back trees and bushes with Ease, the distance guard was great, flexibility great, cut back most my ivy so far brilliant little tool for the price
When we purchased this we were a bit dubious as it seemed cheap. I have only used it once but it is like an old brush cutter I used to have as in it cut down thick weeds and bramble very easy.
I have had a lot of strimmers over the years. They have all been reasonably cheap and come with that plasticky string as the cutting device. After the latest one just stopped being useful, I thought, stuff it!
Let’s go big!
Okay, this monster is about double the usual cost, but the blades, of which there are many, are mostly metal, and we have two battery packs as well as gloves, glasses, etc.
It’s much better than anything previously. It’s not very good on big tree branches, but luckily, I have a chainsaw for that!
Easy to put together ,light to use , line the extending arm ! Plastic blades don’t last long ! Metal Blades are much better ! Goggles and gloves supplied (safety)! Performance is good ! 2 batteries do the job !
Things to ponder; No assembly instructions; No safety instructions; Gloves and glasses provided are rubbish.
Now the good news; easy to assembly; and use; can be used straight away but I suggest charging battery first: Plastic blades and metal blades only good for cutting grass not clumps; Saw blade will cut anything, grass, nettles, brambles, small bushes/branches up 20 mm no problem.
Battery life is a good half hour depending what your cutting: Wear boots/ eye protection/ gloves:
The blades and cutting is superb, however for two batteries you’ll only get maximum 40 minutes usage and recharging the batteries will take you over 4 hours, so you can’t finish a 100 ft garden with the current charge in a day. You’ll have to wait another 4 to 5 hours for recharging both batteries. It’s a pain. Other than that the machine is fantastic and cuts through the toughest of weeds and branches. 4 stars due to the battery life. The other thing is you’ll need to watch the Amazon video to work out how to assemble it, otherwise the instructions are quite poor.
Used the strimmer for the first time today. Oh boy, was I surprised. I was not expecting too much given the reasonable price. But, it cut through 500sq. ft of weeds in 20 minutes with relative ease on only one battery.
The only gripe I have with it is that although the length is adjustable to pretty decent length, as a man of over 6ft it would have even better for me if the length was given an extra 10cm. That would have saved my back big time.
One charged battery was easily enough to do both my front and back garden.
Easy to put together with a large and frankly scary variety of blades. Please wear safety gear. It can flick up stones like bullets and the blades are sharp and fast.
The upside is it cuts t
hrough grass like butter. I would say the big scary “Arkansas Chuggabug” blade is really too heavy for it and struggled to cut branches. The plastic blades are very brittle but cheap to replace.
It is much quieter and much more powerful than my old corded strimmer. But I guess this is technically a brush cutter.
Happy purchase. Wear the googles though, and stout boots.
Let’s do the bed things first-I’m not a gardener – the instructions are awful- really small pictures and you need a magnifying glass to read them- resorted to YouTube video to assemble it. Good bits- Once assembled it is easy to use. Cleared my overgrown garden in less than 20 minutes.
Has now been ‘borrowed’ by a friend to use at his house. All in all a great product.
I bought this to tackle very long grass on pathways at my allotment. I was a bit dubious when it arrived as I thought it seemed a bit flimsy. However, using the metal strimmer blades it proved more than up to the task providing you take your time and don’t try and force the tool. Each battery lasted about 35 minutes which was enough to complete the task. I would imagine that battery life would be much longer on lighter jobs. The downsides are that having an arthritic thumb, I found that holding in the safety button whilst pressing the power trigger was quite uncomfortable for me and I was constantly swapping hands. Also, the plastic strimming blades are very brittle and break easily if you hit something hard. All in all though I am pleased as it performed well for me.
Assembly:
The pictures are too small to see and the text makes little sense. There are not two holding screws in the centre for the guard, only one on the outer rim, so don’t spend half an hour looking for missing parts. Once you’ve got that bit figured out the rest is easy enough without trying to decipher the instructions.
Usage:
The plastic blades DO cut mid length lawn grass (the reason I bought it)
Metal blades make a better job of it.
Small grass area 3m x 5m easily ‘mowed’ on one part charged battery with energy to spare.
It is light, great if your shoulders or back hurt, it adjusts enough for me (5′ 4″) without difficulty.
1000 times easier than the old fashioned hand powered mower I was using for such a small, wet, garden.
Arrived in good time – slightly difficult to assemble from a poorly translated instruction manual – seems to be very lightweight and maybe quality not terrific, but has just done a good job on some overlong grass – and battery life seemed to be very acceptable – a lot more grass to do still – gloves supplied seem to be sized for a very small hand! Useful selection of extra blades.
Easy to assemble if you ignore the very poor instructions. Battery life seems good and you get two! Nice array of attachments: cutter fixing wrench, goggles, wall hanger and fixings (and tiny gloves!!!)
Light and easily manoeuvred, with good safety bar and guard. However, one of the fixing holes for the safety bar was not drilled through and I had to use a small screwdriver to push the plastic out and make the hole!
Overall, very good value for the money and easy to use, without the hassle of strimmer wire.
