Nice looking and durable suitcase.
Lightweight at only less than 3kg.
Smooth for manoeuvre and ultra quiet.
Smooth zippers and quite a bit of mesh compartment inside.
Handy hooks for your bits while on the move.
Just nice for short trips.
I recently ordered this hard shell carry-on suitcase and I couldn’t be happier with it As a frequent traveller, I rely on luggage that not only looks good but also performs exceptionally well, and this suitcase ticks all the boxes.
Let’s start with the spinner wheels. They glide effortlessly in all directions, making it incredibly easy to maneuver through crowded airports, tight spaces, and even narrow aisles on planes. This feature alone has saved me so much time and hassle during my travels.
The telescopic handle is another standout feature. It’s sturdy and extends smoothly, allowing me to adjust it to the perfect height for comfortable navigation. Inside the suitcase, the organisation features are top-notch. The zipper compartments and straps keep my clothes and belongings securely in place, preventing them from shifting around during transit. This means no more wrinkled clothing or messy packing when I reach my destination. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in my overall travel experience.
And can we talk about the design? It’s sleek, modern, and undeniably stylish. I love the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic, which sets it apart from other carry-on options on the market. Whether I’m traveling for business or pleasure, this suitcase always looks professional and sophisticated.
Overall, I highly recommend this hard shell carry-on to anyone in need of a reliable travel companion. It’s durable, functional, and exudes effortless style. Trust me, once you experience the convenience and elegance of this suitcase, you’ll never want to travel without it.
This is a very nice case which feels very good quality and well made, easy to use and move about with a good length handle. the only negative is that its use is for cabin carry on, however looking at the size 2 no frills airlines will not except it. other than that great for the weekend get away.
I’ve just got back from a trip to Amsterdam where I used this case without issue on KLM. The case was filled to the point of having to sit on it to close it (standard right) and the shell and zips have held just fine. The wheels held up to the abuse of the cobbled streets and tram lines without issue.
As per the pictures, there is an open side and a zipped section which is nice when you come to open it. On the open side there’s an elastic securing strap with adjustable length. The extending handle has a few different height options which was useful. The lock worked fine and I was able to set my own code without issue.
As with any suitcase, check your airlines size requirements.
Overall I’d be happy to recommend this suitcase.

I like the style and design but it looks to me like this case might not survive rough treatment.
The plastic feet don’t look very strong – they look and feel like they could easily break or snap off.
There’s a flimsy piece of flexible rubber trim that runs around the outside of the case near the zip.
It’s not glued on or anything – just looks like I could easily pull it off and remove it with no effort.
I’m not totally convinced – maybe after taking it on a few flights, I might update this review.
Questionable Sturdiness and Durability.
This is a sturdy suitcase suitable for most of the airlines. It is better to check before to fly. Some of the airlines will aloud the suitcase 55 x 40 x 20cm. This is a 55 36 23cm.
Overall, it is a good quality suitcase, I love that it has a nice capacity.
The small compartments are very handy for little things.
The wheels are spinning very smoothly, and the suitcase itself is lightweight and easy to handle it.
The hooks are very practical
My husband needed a new smaller case. I thought his one would be right up his alley.
I think he was expecting it to be more like a Pelicase so was initially underwhelmed but after a thorough inspection he was pleased. Phew.
Lightweight and strong and all the features work well. A good case in the carry on size.
Great carry on. Its a shame that the budget airlines won’t accept this without additional fees but if you do take this it is well made and does the job.
It’s not exactly a heavy case but the size to weight ratio could be better. Not an issue if you have no weight limit but something to bear in mind.
Inside, it is a very standard layout but it works. What I prefer on this one is the pockets on the separator are 2 large ones rather than trying to shrink down the pockets from a larger case and not being able to store anything.
For the price- this is very good value. The polycarbonate initially feels flimsy when open as the walls aren’t as rigid as earlier plastics- however the flexibility also adds resilience to shocks, knocks and punctures form fatally damaging the case.
The silver colour is well, consistently and deeply applied and no manufacturing defects were seen on hte case or the interior. The 4 corner wheels freely spun and easily rotated on the axis and were securely fixed to the case wall. 2 handles on the case folded virtually flat, easing storage in overhead lockers and minimising tangling/fouling with other items- 2 of the “feet” are moulded to be small hooks for carrying a small bag when in trolley mode- which is a thoughtful addition.
The aluminium trolley posts worked fine but I did have to fully extend before reducing the post height as the lower spigot holes were not exposed until the full extension, which was a little inconvenient, but wasn’t a major dissatisfier.
The TSA lock with 3 tumblers worked fine, the video on the Amazon page showed how to change the combination, obviously with a zipped clamshell the lock’s value is not in security but deterrence and for that it did the job.
Interior, a soft grey MGOB monogrammed fabric is applied throughout, well stitched to the case zipper circumference which bespoke monogrammed zip tabs to boot.
The zipped divider section is something not always seen in small carry-ons covering half of the clamshell with a divided mesh pocket it is well secured and the zipped appears strong and able to withstand interior tensions. On the other clamshell is a webbing cross strap, adjustable by letting out additional material, it’s a departure from the normal elasticated straps, but I suspect it’s there to prevent movement of the contents leading to excess pressure on the opposite zipped section which may happen if the straps were elasticated- it’s a considerate solution and whilst making tightening a little more difficult, is probably a good thing to add rigidity to the case and reduce internal pressures. Apart from the slightly less helpful trolley arms this is a good budget case and should give good service- please note however check the size of the case (physically measure) against the Airline you plan to use- they differ greatly and the wheels do add tot he depth and may catch you out.
In the headline this bag is described as 55x40x20cm which it is not and further down in the details as 55x36x23cm which is accurate. The small difference is important as Ryanair for a large cabin bag and checked in 10Kg bag have a maximum size of 55x40x20cm and this bag is too large with its 23cm depth.
EasyJet allow 55x45x25cm for a large cabin bag so this bag would be acceptable.
Wizz Air allow 55x40x23cm for a trolley bag so this bag would be acceptable.
The airlines change their baggage sizes so always check before you travel.
The case is semi-hard case and is closed by a zip around the middle. The zip ends fit into a TSA combination lock. There are wheels on the bottom and an extendable adjustable height handle for dragging the bag. The case also has internal zipped compartments.
Whilst it will not quite fit your budget airline requirements for the free baggage, it will most certainly be small
Enough to take on board for others. It is well made and premium looking, though quite .lightweight and longevity may be questionable.
There isn’t anything out of the norm as far as interior goes, but wheel design is definitely the highlight- they feel so smooth and sail through any surface with ease! The lock is mostly for show but will be useful to some extent as it is built in rather than attached separately.
Overall, decent value, just be careful on sizing as it’s rigid and won’t be able to squeeze through the measuring ports which may result to extra fees.
This is a really nice suitcase. Everything moves smoothly and with ease, the wheels have almost zero friction it feels like! The zip tags clip in easily and pop out when unclipped. Changing the code is very easy to do if you want to. The ridges on the case do worry me a bit, prime targets for getting clipped, marked and damaged, so the lighter colours might not be the best if you want it to remain looking smart. I’ll have to see how the light blue holds up after a few long trips – but it is a lovely colour.
The inside of the case has the usual clips and partitions. The space lots to the bars that hold the retracting handle are fairly big and sit a decent amount away from the wall of the case. This feels like a bit of poor design, other cases i’ve had these bars sit flush to the case wall and so avoid losing capacity. This is the main reason I only gave it 4 starts instead of 5. It is lightweight but feels strong and durable.
This case is made from Polycarbonate, has a capacity of 40L weighs 2.8kilo and has a size of 55x36x23cm.
Its a hard shell and feels robust with a large outer zipper and built in 3 digit combination lock.
The built in telescopic handle can be locked outward in one of 4 positions for comfort, or stowed away. There are 2 sturdy looking carry handles, one top & one side. It has 4 feet for it to rest on if being carried sideways, when upright the 4 double wheels do a good job of keeping the case in line. The interior of the case is polyester lined and I was pleased to see an instruction sheet enclosed with details on how to set the combination lock.
The base inside has a retaining strap to keep things in place, and the top inside section has 2 zippered sections, the outer one is mesh. See my photo.
Overall I think the case is pretty strong although I cant comment on the price as its currently unavailable with no price showing.
This is a great carry on suitcase. It’s very lightweight and is effortless to push/pull, with 4 360 degree spinning wheels.
Inside is roomy, with zipped compartments and one side with a substantially strap. The lining is super soft and has a slight velvety feel to it.
The external combination lock is TSA approved, so can be accessed easily at their whim.
The handle is strong and lightweight and easy to extend.
I LOVE the pastel blue colour too – it makes a change from the standard black or silver cases and makes it easier to locate.
My only niggle is the branding – MGOB – which doesn’t sound the nicest!
This is a good cabin suitcase with a reasonably high level of quality.
There are two main compartments, separated by a zipped divider.
The divider additionally has a couple of thin compartments for documents or things to be accessed quickly.
The material is polycarbonate with ridges, which gives it a reasonable level of resistance to deformation.
There are carry handles both on the vertical and horizontal orientation – which is useful.
The telescopic handle is certainly long enough and seems strong enough for the purpose.
The main outside zip has a combination code which you can set to your own custom number.
One side of the suitcase has a couple of thin hooks for hanging stuff – the strap would have to be thin.
Finally, I’m happy with the double wheels, which spin smoothly and quietly.
I simulated a 30kg load partially resting some of my weight on the case, and it moved smoothly.
I also (once) sat on the suitcase giving it a 70kg+ weight, to see if it broke – and it didn’t.
My wife sometimes sits on my suitcase at the airport, and I wanted to see if this would be ‘fatal’. It wasn’t !!
There is an significant issue with size… The title states the suitcase is 55x40x20cm (which is wrong !!).
In the first paragraph of the description, the size changes to 55x36x23cm (which is closer to the truth).
I measured the suitcase to be 56x37x23.5cm. The weight is 2.85kg.
The Amazon listings have a photo which shows the maximum suitcase size for various airlines.
The problem is that they say their MGOB cabin suitcase is suitable for use in Ryanair Priority. This is NOT the case…
Their own listing shows the maximum width of suitcase for Ryanair / Emirates / First Choice / SAS / TAP / & TUI as 20cm.
This suitcase is ’23cm’ (? 23.5cm), and thus with those airlines, this ‘cabin suitcase’ would not be allowed into the cabin,
and you would be forced to check your luggage into the hold, probably with an extra surcharge.
It is a serious misrepresentation to say that the case is suitable for use with an airline when it isn’t.
I hope my review here prevents people buying this suitcase with that false belief.
If you intend to travel with those airlines, then this would not be a suitable cabin suitcase.
I’m quite happy with the suitcase in every other respect, but the size misrepresentation issue loses it a star.
Buyer beware !!
Mgob? What a strange name ….but a little digging revealed it to be short for Mango Bird..a Chinese company. It also explains the cute bird logo in the centre of the cases outer shell. Make no mistake, this is a very stylish carry-on case, sized so as to be cabin compliant with most of the main world airlines.
It looks expensive, and well-made, with great attention to detail.
I trundled it halfway across Blackpool, giving it a real baptism of fire, and it glided marvellously, making travelling with luggage very easy, on several surfaces. The handle is very sturdy and easy to manoeuvre.
The lock system is secure and very easy to set up. A great product.
This case does a very good job of maximising the storage within the external dimensions. It really does seem bigger on the inside.
Good attention to detail, with omnidirectional wheels, top and side handles, trolley handle, internal straps and pockets.
It’s very light too, so you aren’t using up your weight allowance with the case itself.
So all very good, but the 100 price is not justified.
I’m impressed with the quality of this MGOB Cabin Suitcase. The shell isn’t super hard so it may feel weak but it’s made of durable Polycarbonate so it won’t be a problem – hopefully! The 4 Wheels allows it to move 360 degrees. The fabric used inside feels good quality, the 2 mesh pockets are very useful. Although at the moment it’s unavailable, when I checked this 20 inch 40L suitcase before it was priced at around 99, so you would expect this quality anyway.
This is a pretty good (carry-on cabin type) case. Quality is decent, and whilst I haven’t ‘thrown it around’, it is quite strong (in fact very strong – stronger than some others), as you’d expect since the case material is Polycarbonate. It’s therefore also nice and lightweight, which is essential really.
The zippers are smooth running, generally good and strong, with good strong stitching also. With the handle is extended, it is firm and doesn’t wobble around overly like some. As you would expect, the handle has multi-stage extending, with a separate nicely balanced normal carry handle.
The wheels (twin x 4) are excellent, and the case is very easy to manoeuvre when walking with it –better than many others. The case has built-in combination / TSA lock, which is very useful.
Inside, the case is pretty good also, with zip pockets (breathable), and elasticated main area X straps. However, internally, there aren’t as many different sections as some others, but decent enough.
Overall, this is a good all-round case, strong and quite stylish. Nice and lightweight, the case is perfect for flight carry-on, or general weekend away type use. Not quite as versatile internally as some, but still good. However, this is massively over-priced (100 at time of review) — at least double the price you’d expect. Therefore, decent though this is, I wouldn’t buy at this price!
I hope this has been helpful.
This is cabin size suitcase. The size is standard. The quality of finished is very good. Quality zippers that lock the suitcase (also good for when you go for holiday, can be used instead of renting a safe).
The straps are thick and solid (unlike cheap rubber bands in others). The wheels work perfectly. I really can’t complain about anything (other than price) but as I always say you get what you’ve paid for.
I would buy again and I would recommend. I hope my review and video were helpful
This is a good quality suitcase with good strong shell to protect your belongings. Good quality zippers that lock into place when required with a changeable three digit code and key slot that allows the airport staff access if required when not in your presence. The case isn’t too roomy inside as a lot of the space is taken up by the extendable handle but big enough for a few bits and bobs for carry on which is perfect for your average family hols or a short weekend away. Good quality and good value for money.
The product came well packaged in a box.
Rating:
Quality: 5/5
Portable & lightweight: 5/5
Durability: 5/5
Versatility: 5/5
Price: 3/5
Appearance & Material:
It is aesthetically designed and made of polycarbonate material. Also, the hard shell design provides extra protection to the items. It has 4 spinner wheels for easy maneuverability. Additionally, it features a TSA combination lock for added security.
It comes in 2 different colours, and I opted for silver one. Its logo is embossed, even on zippers, giving it a well-branded appearance.
Functional:
The product is well-crafted. It is durable, versatile, and maneuverable.
The 4 spinner wheels on the cabin suitcase are also smooth and quiet and make it easy to maneuver the suitcase in any direction.
It has a retractable push-button handle which is adjustable and extendable.
Furthermore, the TSA combination lock provides an extra layer of security for belongings. The lock is easy to set up and use.
However, it is a bit on a pricy side. Other than this, it’s great overall.
A very nice case which is perfect for a night or weekend away.
Looks smart, is lightweight and has good wheel system.
It comes with a built in combination lock which is handy.
I love it.
