This MiLi tracker has a nice design, very sleek slim and compact, it feels like the width of a couple of credit cards to me.
Wireless charging worked really well for me with an airpod charger, but nothing seemed to happen with a watch charger, and my magnetic phone charger just made the card make a weird clicking noise and reset/on/off beeps/flashes. These are all aftermarket chargers that I tried btw.
Setup was really simple, instructions were clear and I just needed to select it in my app and name it basically.
The tracking feature is ok, for me it seems to display a rough last known location in the app, and then I can track it down by playing a sound when I get near enough to it for bluetooth to connect. I need to be within about 5m to get a connection to do this though, so I imagine if it was truly lost I’d need to do a bit of logical hunting still.
Overall I really like the form factor and how easy it is to use, performance meets what I would expect for a device like this, so I’ve no complaints.
I’ve used a variety of alternative AirTags from different brands, which work well and are as good as Apple’s own AirTags. They’ve been similar in shape and size, small enough to clip to a keyring or slip into a wallet or a pocket. This tag, on the other hand, is shaped like a credit card and is ideal to slide into a wallet or purse.
It’s extremely simple to set up and operate, simply power on the card by long pressing the power button until you hear a musical melody, head over to the ‘Find My’ app on your Apple device and select ‘Add other Item’ from the Items panel. The Mili card will instantly be detected and can be paired and named. Tracking works well, providing directions to get to your lost items, though it doesn’t offer the same precision as Apple’s own AirTags. The card also supports NFC which means it can connect and interact with compatible devices that also use the NFC function.
It’s a very well-made card, it’s slim and sturdy and comes very well-boxed, which gives it a premium feel. It’s also waterproof and unlike any other tags and trackers, it includes an internal wireless rechargeable battery that can charge on existing wireless charges which makes it extremely convenient.
I am very pleased with this product, it works well, the audio is loud and clear when the lost sound is played, and its slim size means it can easily slip into my wallet.
i use this for my motorcycle and everything is good but my only complain is sometimes the location doesnt update on find my for an hour which does worry me a bit for my bike but nonetheless great produc
Super-slim, perfect for the job.
Anyone looking at this will no doubt be familiar with Apple’s ‘Find My’ feature already. The fact that this works perfectly with the app really only leaves the main question… where to put it.
The most obvious place is my wallet. The problem is that if it’s stolen, the first thing to go will be the cash and any cards in there, with the empty wallet thrown away, pretty much straight after. This tracket would probably end up the same way, or even destroyed if the taker knows what it is.
Anyhow, I’m looking to go ahead with a ‘concealed’ placement in the wallet, probably inside a seam in the leather where it can be removed for charging when necessary. I imagine it would charge OK through a single-thickness of thin leather anyway (haven’t tried that yet), but for safety I would like to see the charging process, just to be sure.
One thing is certain, I’ll be looking at several more of these for other placements, now that I’ve seen it in action. The next one will be inside my camera equipment case. The tracker will be VERY easy to hide in that, and far less likely that the case will be thrown away should it ever get stolen.
Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis… 5-Stars.
This is a lovely neat little unit, very slim and easy to use. The battery life seems awesome and it picks up bluetooth really well. You dont need to spend pots of money to get a tracker that really does the job!
I’ve been using Apples tags on all kinds of things since they came out, but was fristrated by the form-factor as they’re not ideal for something essential like your wallet.
This card is a great alternative!
There are others on the market, but this one has a real quality feel to it, and I really like the fact that unlikee some of the competition, it’s rechargeable using your regular wireless phone charger so will be a much better long-term option compared to those which have a single use battery.
These aren’t quite as acurate as the Apple originals, as they don’t have the special high-frequency chips which allow the phone to get the super-accurate direction and distance information, but they still work really well with the ‘FindMy’ network to give you a map location, and then when you are nearby you can get the card to play a sound to help locate it. In testing I found that loud enough to really help so I’m very happy with the card and have it my my wallet now 🙂
Definitely recommended!
This is a fantastic quality “Find My” compatible tracker that fits snugly in your wallet.
I’ve been making do by stuffing a bulky AirTag into my wallet, which kind of worked, but made my wallet a bulky mess, so I jumped on this as soon as I saw it, and I wasn’t disappointed.
It feels like a very nicely made object in the hand, made from quality materials with a little weight to it. I was very surprised just how much tech they managed to squeeze into something so thin. Not only is there a tracker and a rechargeable battery, but also all the electronics to charge it wirelessly.
After an initial charge, I paired it with the Find My app on my iPhone and tested out the “play a sound” feature, which played a beeping sound on the card that was loud enough to be heard when inside my wallet.
Of course, the real test will come if I ever lose my wallet, but so far it looks like it’s being tracked perfectly. My wallet is much more comfortable in my pocket, and I have that little extra piece of mind that if I do lose it, there’s a good chance of getting it back.
This is a tracker made to be hidden in plain sight amongst your credit cards.
It is the thickness of two credit cards but with its black glass top and bottom and smooth sides with a very small and discreet on / off button on the front and the logo (MiLi) in a subtle dark grey and NFC and wireless symbols on the back it is not immediately obvious what it is.
It is tactile to hold and feels well made, almost like a miniature iPhone with a glass back on both sides.
This is a tracker that only works on apple phones, if you have an android it is not for you!
It was easy to pre-charge the battery (always wise on any new device) by simply placing it on the base of my phone charger that would normally be the home of my wireless ear buds.
The battery is rated to last for up to five years and needs re-charging every 4 to 6 months.
The tiny light flashes green while it is charging and goes constant green when fully charged.
Connecting it to my iPhone 12std was a very easy task, even for me! (I am a plug & play guy!)
The card does everything an air-tag does and from what I can make out it does it just as well.
I am for the time being keeping this in my wallet, but am considering hiding it in the padding under the seat on my motorcycle!
My wallet holds little cash and if I lost it, it would be inconvenient but not the end of the world, my bike however would be a far bigger loss if it were stolen.
I like this small item a lot and the security and flexibility it will bring to some of my most rtreasured possessions.
Happy to help!
MiLi MiCard Wallet Tracker
The wallet card tag works with Apple Find My app. This provides two types of functionality
– if you are close to the item you can use your own device to find them via sound alerts (good for items lost in your house)
– if you have lost the item when travelling, you are relying on other peoples devices picking up the tag and reporting back to the cloud (good for well trafficked areas)
Overall the location accuracy isn’t great and you really need the sound option to find items.
The card is only chargeable by wireless due to its thinness, though it has a 6 month chare claim.
I guess you need to weigh up the cost of the tag vs the item (and its value to others – I suspect a purse/wallet would be emptied if anyone sees it lying round), possibly good as well for school book/sports bags.
My wife regularly seems to misplace her phone, usually when it is set to silent! The phone case has a built-in credit card holder and so I thought this wallet tracker might be the answer.
The unit is the size of a credit card and only a little thicker. The solid tempered glass/ aluminium construction gives an immediate impression of quality.
Because it is so thin, there is no space for a conventional charging port and so a wireless charger is required – it is important to note that one is not included.
The button on the surface does not depress, but is touch sensitive and I had some trouble finding the right point of contact to activate it. This is complicated by the indicator light making a single flash when the unit is switched on and also flashing in the same way when it switched off, making it difficult to know if it is currently on or off. This light flashes green to indicate that the unit is charging.
Once I did get it charged and powered on, connecting into the Apple “find my” app was very simple.
I have confirmed that it tracks accurately while the phone is out of the house but, perhaps more usefully in our case, there is a button on the “find my” app which activates a noise on the device helping my wife to locate her phone when it is nearby but out of sight.
Overall, I’m happy with this tracker, but I’ve just knocked off one star because of the fiddly and confusing on/off switch.
Very simple to setup on iPhone, just open up find my and add a new item under “other items”.
found the MiLi instantly and paired without fuss.
I was able to slip this into my wallet and didn’t add any noticeable bulk, its light and slim.
Opening find my, was able to locate the wallet and also use the play sound feature. Worked great.
I tried the notify when left behind, and that also worked perfectly!
No more lost wallets!
I’ve used one of the coin shape trackers before which while small are quite thick due to the battery. This Micard is super slim, credit card dimensions and I would say the thickness of two credit cards. Amazing how they have managing to squeeze all the tech inside including wireless charging.
The biggest point to highlight is you need a wireless charger, it’s unusual to get an electronic device without any standard charging option included. I have a wireless charging pad but you need to factor this into the cost if you don’t. As no means of charging any other way.
Connection was easy and relatively quick, no issues recognising the card. It’s really designed for a wallet but could be placed in a bag. It has the usual options with audible sound for close by finding, although this isn’t that loud. And you can get an alert if out of range of the card. NFC so someone can get your details.
Tracking was good when tested and perfectly useable. Long term reliability is unknown, battery life is advertised as 4 months plus, and the ease of wireless charging is better than a cell battery. It’s a firm card and seemed to hold up ok under a bend test I did, obviously not being too heavy handed, in real world use it’s not going to bend if placed in a wallet with other cards. Overall impressed with the look and features of this super slim tracker.
The first thing I noticed when opening the box and sliding out the MiCard is that it feels heavier than I had expected. At 20g it doesn’t sound much but I think I imagined it to feel similar to a few credit cards in terms of weight.
The MiCard is essentially a shiny black plastic card measuring 2.4mm thick and 85mm by 54mm. The only visible markings on it are a discreet MiLi logo, power button icon and small LED on one side and a small wireless charging and NFC symbol on the other. If you look very carefully though, on the same surface you can just about pick out the regulatory markings. The fact that there’s a lithium rechargeable battery and wireless transmitter inside this is quite impressive.
The MiCard charges with a standard wireless charger and internal magnets help align it to the optimum position. It does get quite warm charging but that’s to be expected given how thin it is.
Once fully charged the bright flashing green LED changes to steady and then briefly flashes white together with a surprisingly loud audible notification when the card is active.
After opening the Find my app on my iPhone and tapping add as other item, bringing the MiCard near the phone allows it to be identified and setup. After giving it a name and emoticon to recognise it amongst my other tracking devices it starts to be tracked.
The MiCard is the same dimensions as an ordinary credit card and about twice as thick. It easily slips into my wallet alongside my other cards and you wouldn’t recognise it as a tracking device. The battery should last between 4 and 6 months before needing to be recharged.
This is a very neat product and it’s much easier to keep in my wallet than a traditional tag. Seems to be very well made and rigid, the audible speaker is surprisingly loud and the small LED also quite bright. It only works with Apple devices and the Find my app.Hope I never need to use it to locate my wallet but reassuring to know it’s there just in case. It’s also good that it doesn’t need replacement batteries and can simply be recharged.
I always used to have a more conventional tracker in my wallet and whilst it was perfectly functional it was bulky. This is lovely and thin, about 2 cards thick, so it doesn’t affect my wallet much.
I have seen other card trackers, but most of these had a single use battery and the whole thing would need replacing when the battery went. This charges off my wireless charger, so a single battery should last several years.
The card itself is glossy black plastic/glass, not really sure which, it has a power ‘button’, a gap for the LED and a charging area indication. It looks really good.
Tracking works as well as any other third party findmy items, you cannot use the fine tracking, but you can get a general location and can then sound the item. The volume is okay and loud enough.
This little credit card sized device is slightly thicker than a credit card but it only weighs around 20 grams so its hardly going to weigh you down. It works just like other ‘Find My’ devices and once charged, will work for up to 6 months. It charges using a wireless charger. We had it paired up in no time and as expected, it s location was perfectly pinpointed on the map.
Its a lovely, well made little device that has a quality feel to it. This will help us primarily to track down where the bag has been left in the house but if we do ever lose the bag or purse out and about, hopefully this will hugely increase our chances of retrieval. Excellent.
If you are immersed in the Apple ecosystem you will no doubt be familiar with the Find My app and how it utilises any other Apple device passing nearby to ‘ping’ and locate lost/stolen devices. In well populated areas it’s a great system that means tracking devices need neither GPS nor a SIM card to discover their location and transmit that back to your iPhone/iPad/Mac. This MiLi card tracker can be located using either this network or if close by using bluetooth. The card itself is a little thicker than a normal credit card but still very compact. The additional NFC feature whereby someone who finds your wallet can waft their phone over it to get your contact details is a great idea, however it would be helpful to have that instruction written on the card otherwise how would the finder know to do this? Being able to recharge this card wirelessly is a big plus as having loads of charging cables for everything is just a pain.
This device is a great way to protect your wallet and priced at 24 at time of review is good value considering all its features.
I was so, so surprised with this item!
This card feels amazing in the fingers, is it glass? It has a high gloss surface back and front.
It was the easiest thing in the world to work. I pressed it on, it turned on. I put it on my iphone charger (not mag) and it charges, although you need to position the lightening to the centre of the pad – it flashed green.
I had 1% battery on my phone, with the card charging, I set it up in maybe 1.5 minutes using my iphone Find My utility. So easy!
And! The card ‘rings out’ when you select that option on your phone.
I wanted this for two reasons, one to go in my purse for a day to day basis: I know if I lose my purse it will get emptied and tossed but it’s worth a try. And the other for a very sleek tracking device for my suitcase. I want two trackers on it one in view, and the other (this card) just sitting all back of the bus and if the case is ‘frisked’ it’s likely it will get missed by thieving fingers. And! if my case gets lost, apparently I have 6 months to find it! I’ll be using this for the next couple of months to test this.
This item FAR exceeded my expectations.
UPDATE: I’ve noticed since that the battery life is x months, making it slightly less than other brands.
I recently started using the MiLi MiCard Wallet Tracker, and it’s been brilliant for keeping track of my essential items like my wallet, bags, and passport. Here’s why I’m impressed:
Firstly, the design of the MiLi MiCard is sleek and ultra-thin, making it easy to slip into any wallet or bag without adding unnecessary bulk. Its credit card size and slim profile ensure that it doesn’t take up much space and remains discreet.
Setting up the MiLi MiCard was a breeze. It seamlessly integrates with the Apple Find My app, making it effortless to track and locate my items using my iPhone. The iOS compatibility ensures that I can leverage Apple’s robust tracking features without any additional apps or subscriptions.
One of the standout features of the MiLi MiCard is its wireless rechargeability. Instead of replacing batteries regularly, I can simply recharge the MiCard using the included USB-C cable, ensuring that it’s always ready to use when I need it. This eco-friendly approach to power management is a welcome feature.
The tracking accuracy of the MiLi MiCard is impressive. Using the Apple Find My app, I can pinpoint the exact location of my items with precision, whether they’re in my home or out and about. The real-time tracking updates give me peace of mind, knowing that I can quickly locate my belongings if they go missing.
I also appreciate the versatility of the MiLi MiCard. It’s not just limited to wallets; I can use it to track a variety of items, including bags, passports, and even luggage. Its multipurpose functionality makes it a practical solution for keeping track of all my essentials.
Overall, the MiLi MiCard Wallet Tracker has proven to be a reliable and convenient tool for preventing the stress and hassle of misplaced items. Its smart features, sleek design, and seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem make it a must-have accessory for anyone prone to losing their belongings. If you’re looking for a simple yet effective way to keep track of your essentials, I highly recommend giving the MiLi MiCard a try.
PROS
-surprisingly flat
-easy to slip inside a wallet or a luggage pocket
-works with Apple’s “Find My” network, like an AirTag (but it doesn’t _look_ like an airtag
-it can be recharged (unlike an AirTag), and it does it wirelessly
CONS
-disposable: once that battery has aged, this can only be thrown away.
-speaker not very loud
NOTES
-this is my second non-airtag “Find My” compatible product. Make sure you don’t try to add it to your Find My network the same way you’d do with an actual airtag, the process is slightly different.
MY STAR RATINGS:
1* substandard, mostly cons
2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros
3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros
4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons
5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
For 23.99 I am very pleased with this, it is good value. Battery is included/internal.
Sorry for the upside down photos, you get the idea.
I rarely give five stars but this deserves it
I have wanted an ‘ air tracker’ but was put off by the value issues. This is the second type of the more affordable ones that I have tried this week and is a lot nicer than the one I am using on my car keys.
I had read the size information, it seems tiny but is the size advertised. If feels solid and very good quality
Instructions are fine, the Bluetooth bit is simple, understanding the APP is what does takes the time, not arduous but maybe 20 mins to figure it all out. Then very simple. I like the idea of being able to turn off the tracking if you are paranoid. I am not sure if it saves battery in fact this part of the instructions could go into more detail.
The blue tooth always worked around my average modern house . It will of course depend on your phone, wall thickness, ETC.
My partner went to her mums several miles away with it and took it inside (voluntarily I will add). I stayed at home. It was very accurate I could see which part of the house they were in.
So overall I can recommend this, no idea if it is as good or accurate as the big name brand but it seems very accurate on the APP/map. I also can not say how long the battery will last. It charges on the part of my wireless charger that you put your earphones on to charge.
My reviews follow this star rating:
1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,
2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,
3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,
4 Stars; Very good and satisfying. I liked it and it’s a quality product,
5 Stars; Excellent, exceeds expectations.
Works well. About as thick as 2-3 cards. Had it for a month and the battery is sill showing 100%. Wireless charger is much more convenient than having to swap batteries like on the official AirTag
