This product after installing it in camera worked for only two weeks and then developed a fault – Card error. When I contacted customer services they were very prompt in there reply and provided some helpful advice, however product was still faulty, a replacement was sent via amazon.

Good. A little expensive given that you can get better and more reliable microSD cards for the same price, but, as a package it’s ideal.

I bought this as my dash cam needed a new card. It has more than enough storage, and the card reader is certainly handy. I don’t know that I would use this for a better camera recording, say a GoPro used professionally or for a home video I actually wanted to keep, as between the card and the card reader both feel like they might only last 12 months before the plastic breaks, or the card corrupts.

I think the card reader will be the first thing to go – often the cheap materials of the components degrade just from air and so that may stop working sooner, but the card works well for small projects that need a MicroSD, Dash cams, kids toys, etc.

The USB-C Drive does look nice, and when inserting the SD-card is the the push-click type, so it clips into place. I do like these until I forget it is this type and pull it out by accident.

I tested the USB drive and it works fine, but could not get the full speed results I was hoping for, this may be down to my system and not having another to test I moved on.

The drive works very well with my phone and it instantly recognised and the card is readable right away.

Speed test on my PC gave me speeds for the card that seemed close to what is on the box at around 95 MB/s Read/Write, which to be fair is pretty decent.

Overall nice little SD drive and the card in terms of speed seems decent, how well it will last over time is something I will find out about.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent speeds

This is a 256gb Micro SD card with a USB C adapter. The card works great in my dash cam & the included card reader makes it easy to transfer video to my computer.

Small size sd card for an impressive 512GB size, amazing! I really like how fast it works. It comes with an usb-c adapter so you can plug it to a computer or any other device to access the files pretty easily and copy or delete any files in the sd card.
I use this card to increase the size of the hard drive of the phone, I just plugged in and it started working right away, I storage photos and some movies in it, It’s going to take a long time before I make it full.

In summary, the sd card is small, good size, fast and so far it has done an excellent job.

The 128 GB microSD card by Miofive is made in PRC (china). The amazon description claims a 170 MB/sec read speed and 150 MB/sec write speed. I used a 2023 Dell XPS 17 and the supplied USB-C to MicroSD adapter, and the best I found was 92 MB/sec reads and 88 MB/sec writes. The $30 price seems to go with the real life speeds I tested. Higher performance cards cost twice as much. This is a decent microSD card, and under light use, has been just fine. I am curious how this will perform once it heats up.

MicroSD card by Miofive does not meet advertised speeds (170/150) but reaches 92/88

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersDescription says SD card is ultimate, exceptional, enhanced, and impressive. There are 235.5GB available on the 256GB card. I have no means of testing the speeds. Card indicates a bus speed of XC I. That’s not ultimate. You need to have at least XC II for a read speed of 170 MB/s and a write speed of 150 MB/s. Of course, the package and description states “up to” those speeds. Any reading under 170MB/s and 150MB/s is therefore legitimate for their claims. It could be 10 MB/s and they’ll be honest. But it won’t be ultimate or any synonyms. There’s also USB 3.0 which isn’t as ultimate as USB 3.2. The reader cannot “satisfy all your daily needs” like the description says. It works in my laptop. It worked in two out of four phones. The reader is too wide by the USB-C. Only a thin phone case will allow it to be inserted. There’s a clicking mechanism so the card doesn’t fall out. Blue lights indicate when the reader is working. This reader/card performs all of its functions. However, it won’t readily operate in any device, and it doesn’t deserve superlatives.

Most SD cards, even from the big name brands, usually overstate their read/write speeds, and this card is no different. There are simply too many variables involved to guarantee the same speed for every system, so manufacturers typically quote a best case theoretical speed. Yay, marketing!

This card claims “up to” 170MB/s sequential read and 150MB/s sequential write, which are pretty fast speeds for a micro SD card, especially an “off brand” card. In my testing, while it didn’t hit those speeds, it’s still a pretty snappy card, hitting almost 100MB/s in both sequential read and write. So I’m happy with it. 100MB/s for an SD card is no slouch.

It includes a USB-C 3.0 card reader that takes both micro and full size SD cards. I wanted to compare it to another USB-C 3.0 card reader I have, the Anker A8326, just to see if the reader could be the bottleneck. If it is the bottleneck, then it’s the same bottleneck for both readers I tried in my system’s 10Gbps USB 3.1 Type-C port.

Even though it doesn’t hit it’s claimed top speeds, for the price you get a Type-C USB 3.0 read and 128GB that still hits nearly 100MB/s in my tests, so I consider it a good value.

    Pretty fast SD card
