Very yummy, quite low in calories and very low in sugar! I love going to the gym more when I have one of these in my bag as it tastes as yummy as a chocolate bar but is protein packed less than 200 calories and no more than 3G of sugar!

I’ve been ordering these for about a year and a half. Recently shrinkflation has hit them and the size of the bars has been reduced by around 1/4, while the flavour and texture have been changed – but actually improved a bit, so I’m not complaining about that. Today, though, I noticed that my current box was about to run out, logged onto Amazon to quickly reorder, and found that the cheapest price had increased from 19 to 27. These bars may be good, but they’re not that good. Have global supply chain issues struck again? And, who pays almost 30 for a box of 12 small snacks? And, why is it that whenever I like a consumer product it’s either discontinued or priced out of my range? And, why do I even momentarily think capitalism exists for my benefit anyway?

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI love these misfit bars. This variety box has 4 types, all of which are delicious! My personal favourite is the white choc cookies n’ cream. There were 3 of each and I think the cost is very good for 12, especially as these are plant based which often cost more than dairy protein bars.
I like the texture of them, they’re very soft on top with a slightly crunchy middle, which I really like, and they’re not too sticky either which is good for me.

Nutritionally, the 15g of protein average per bar is very good, higher than average compared to many other plant based brands. I like that they are very low in sugar, only 1-3g per bar, as most of the sweetener here comes from stevia. Salt content is almost non-existent. Carb levels are moderate which is fine as the focus here is primarily on the protein. Fibre in these are also really high, which makes this a good choice for a breakfast snack and general digestion, but I would advise eating only 1-2 of these a day max as the combination of high fibre and plant sweeteners could cause your bowels to be a bit overactive!

Ingredients are good – a nice mixture of soy, peanuts, plant proteins and cocoa, plus additional fibres and flavourings which make for both good taste and good nutritional values.

I bought these for a good vegan protein option and I’m very happy with them. It’s also a bonus that they are gluten free. If you are allergic to soy or nuts, these unfortunately aren’t for you, but luckily this isn’t an issue for me.

Overall, a great vegan protein bar. I like the taste, and the high protein content with very low sugar levels makes this a winner for me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI needed dairy free for allergy reasons and decided to try these vegan ones to ensure this. You can tell they’re protein bars as they’re not as sweet and have that particular texture in comparison to a chocolate bar, but that said they are pleasant. Most of the misfits flavours are great but the speculoos flavour is a bit to dry and powdery for me, hence the 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought the variety pack as I was hesitent on what flavours i’d like.

Chocolate Brownie was not nice. It has an ashy aftertaste and doesn’t taste like chocolate.
Caramel was OK but not the best. Again it had an aftertaste but not as bad at the chocolate brownie.
White Cookie & Cream was the best of the lot. It had the most flavour and there was little – to none – after taste. Would recommend the White cookies & cream!.
The Speculoos flavour was interesting. I’d never heard of the name before and tried this one last. I have to say it was pleasantly surprising. It had a rich sort of cinnamon flavour which was there at the first bite and then went away and left no aftertaste (like the ashy taste on the browie ugh..).

Overall, I’d give the bars a 3.5/5. I won’t return them and will just eat the brownie little by little till they are gone. The main reason I bought these bars was to introduce some protein into my diet so regardless to if they don’t taste nice i’m still eating them.

Also added to subscribe and save so you’ve got me as a customer now. A*

Golden Review Award: 39 From Our UsersI am going to give these 5 stars but from the beginning, I will make it clear – they are not the best protein bar I’ve tasted.

BUT these things are dairy free, gluten-free, and sugar-free AND the sugar “substitutes” they use are actually healthy alternatives that don’t spike your blood sugar (stevia and xylitol). It’s hard enough to find dairy-free options but wanting healthy sugars is almost impossible. A lot of brands claim sugar-free but put in aspartame, maltitol, sucralose, etc. While technically not “sugar” These are NOT good for you 🙁 and still spike blood sugars. So although I have tasted better bars…. I am still going to say these bars are dead on. 🙂 They nailed it with their ingredients as far as I am concerned and the flavors are yummy. They aren’t the MOST delicious things, but, again, worth it if you are thinking about what you are eating. I was SO thankful to find these bars 🙂

All in all – if you are wanting truly sugar-free and dairy-free protein bars – I would recommend them.
If you don’t really care about sugars or dairy – probably pick a different bar 🙂

Also, be aware, that the flavors in the variety pack have changed. The flavors are now:
    Cookies and cream
    Dark chocolate brownie
    Chocolate speculoos
    Chocolate banoffee
    Chocolate hazelnut
    Chocolate caramel

    🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are good value rather than buying individual bars at the supermarket and a good way to try out their range. Low in carbs, high in protein and vegan too! Pea protein is the higher quantity of its protein content with some soy following. No added sugar although they do use Xylitol as a sweetener which is low GI and no sugar spike. Overall tasty and good texture. Being high in plant proteins it does have a mild undertone of bitterness but I find it doesn’t detract from it overall. Even other plant proteins like hemp are mildly bitter to. It’s just the proteins natural flavour. I’d rather have Misfits than sugar loaded dairy filled confectionery any day. They’re helping me transition into having more vegan based foods. Oh and they’re a nice treat for my diabetic mum.
