I’ve ended up using this as a desk mat for doing my own gel manicures at home. The material makes it really comfortable to lean against, and also quite easy to clean as the dust just brushes straight off. Lovely colour and great size to cover a large part of a desk.

I got this for use on one of the homeworking desks at home. Another desk has a neoprene style mat on it and I was keen to get something for use on the other. I got the black & red in 90×40 size.

My first impression was how much bigger it is compared to the existing mat I’m using. The material is PU leather so it appears far classier than my other mat and has the look of something that would be placed on a bankers desk. It comes rolled up and takes some time to completely flatten down which is entirely natural.

It has the benefit of being very easy to keep clean by wiping down, however it is not as anti-slip as I’d like.

It’s good value for something of this size that adds a touch of class to a working area whilst being functional.

I wanted a black mousemat that wasn’t material as I’m clumsy as hell and frequenctly knock over drinks at my desk so didn’t want one of the rubber/fabric/neoprene mousemats that seem very popular now.
The black side which is supposed to be the side you use is a lot less smooth than the red plastic leather underside. So I now have a red mousemat after all as that side is smoother and feels nicer for the mouse to glide across. The black side isn’t bad, but is definitely rougher and less glide-y for the mouse.
The mat is also a bit of a nightmare to sit completely flat, as can been seen in the picture reviews. I used double sided tape to stick down the mousemat to the table and I’m hoping that in time it will stop trying to curl away from the table and I can take the tape off the underside. This is new so I can’t tell how the coating will come off like a lot of PU leather over time, but so far, I am pretty happy with this, it’s reasonably priced. I wish the black side was as smooth as the red side, but it’s not worth sending back for that.

Here we have a Pink / Blue giant mouse mat.
It comes rolled up with a matching band.
It’s large enough to sprawl across a sizeable desk, though due to its stiffness it may take some time to flatten out.
The colours are good on both sides and the stitching is OK.
It is made of fake leather, but as a result it doesn’t have the same grip as natural leather would.
Check the size on this as it really is quite big, and will easily fit a laptop and a whole bunch of accessories, not just your mouse!

It does the job of protecting your desk and making it easy to wipe up dust (or crumbs if your the type to snack at the desk!) but I don’t feel it’s particularly very anti-slip as the description says.

It’s made of PU leather which is obviously faux and feels a bit like vinyl (to me at least) which is what makes it waterproof and excellent for wiping up spills. It has nice stitching along the edges and can be rolled up and taken with you if you so desire.

When first unrolled, I found that the edges kept rolling back up and I had to put something heavy on them for a while to make them stay down. This doesn’t effect my review as I know that’s just the laws of physics when something is rolled up!

I wouldn’t recommend this for gaming purely based on the fact that it isn’t anti-slip as claimed and due to its very basic design, it wouldn’t win you any street cred.

Overall if your looking for something simple to tidy up your desk this does the job, but if you’re more of a hardcore gamer or similar then I’d be looking at a cloth based mat instead!

This arrives rolled up and when first laid out the edged do curl up a bit, I just placed something heavy on them and the following day they were flat. The mat also comes with a strap so should you wish to roll it up again you can secure it with that. The mat is a large mat that will cover a lot of your desk, so make sure you have room for it.

The mat being made of PU leather and being double sided means it is not very non slip and can slide around a bit. The benefits of this over a fabric mouse mat is that any spills are very easy to clean up, but the mouse also to me made a lot more noise when gliding over the surface. On mine there was a slight fault, see attached photographs where the edging was damaged and the red showed on the black side.

I will not be using this as a mouse mat but as a background for photographs, so the slight damage does not matter to me. I have only given 4 stars because on the slight damage and the non slip properties.

I hope you found this review helpful.

Nice quality desk mat that offers good protection.

Ordered this to protect the top of my new desk, owning a imac with a aluminium base means that the display can easily scratch the surface of the desk, this mat is quite large and has ample space to hold 2 monitors on it easily. coming with a black side and a red i went with black to match the desk, it is rather thick and is dense so does not offer any form of comfort / padding. For me though i can say that i could not use this as a mouse / keyboard mat as it is too smooth and way to slippy on the surface, the keyboard would constantly move.

At just under 10 it does as i have said make a good protector so is a 5 star product.

My living room is a black/red colour combination so this was a great item to get for review.

Let’s first talk about size – it’s huge! Fortunately it just about fits on my wide corner desk, so make sure you measure up!

The fact that you get two different coloured sides is great – one day I might go for a stealthy black, and the next I want a nice flashy red. Both colours look great in my opinion. The material really does look leather-like (it is Polyurethane leather, hence the name PU Leather), and looks very smart on my desk.

Thanks to it’s textured surface, my keyboard doesn’t move around as much as it did on my glossy desk surface which is one annoyance gone from my life. The mouse also works really nicely on it – it can smoothly glide on it, but it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fly off into the distance.

It seems very durable – I scratched it a few times with my fingernail, and the scratched area disappeared after a few seconds. Deep scratches of course would last, but you can be confident that dragging your keyboard stands over it, or brushing your watch (or even writing) will not damage it.

It’s also very cleanable – spilt food and drink wipes off very easily.
