All in all this little unit does the job for giving you an indication on battery voltage/percentage . I like the 3 different colours to tell you battery percentage. build quality isn’t too bad the meter isn’t perfect for accuracy but very close.
The Lead Acid Voltmeter Gauge fits in the dashboard of our Club Car golf cart. The cart uses a 48 Volt lead-acid battery setup. We drilled 2 holes in the dashboard and used the included nuts and bolts to place the it for easy viewing. The gauge shows battery charge level with 10 LED lights that turn on in a left to right progressive display: red, yellow, yellow, then 8 green lights showing how much useable voltage is left. One light remains on in the display.
There are 2 ways to wire the gauge to the batteries. One way is to run the positive and negative wires directly to the battery pack. The gauge will stay on with one of the 10 LED lights on. We used the second wiring option connecting the wires to the key ignition mechanism. The installation was simple and direct using a YouTube video. With this option, the gauge LEDs search and indicate a battery level only when the ignition key is on. We can see how much electricity we have used and have left in the batteries. Great golf cart product.
This is a plain and simple battery indicator. It is not fancy, but it works. It comes with crimps to connect to your wiring. This is going onto a gold cart that never had an indicator. At this price point all the carts are getting them now. Perfect.
