PDP Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Gaming Controller for Playstation 5 / PS5, PS4, PC, Modular Gamepad, Remappable Buttons, Customizable Triggers/Paddles/D-Pad, PC App White
Better controller than the PS5 dualsense if you like 4 paddles and a light controller and the aim feels more precise. If you only like 2 paddles and more of a premium feel get the PS5 dualsense.
Feels very premium, no squeaks, has good materials. Only downside is already having stick drift after about a month, but there are hall effect modules available from epindon if anyone else has this issue
Comfortable and affordable. Back buttons are I recommend wired mode and using the built in trigger stops for less latency. Xbox one kontrol freeks actually fit perfect on the analog sticks. The analog sticks are concave and low for quick response. Make sure you install the software on your pc to setup your controller settings the way you want. I highly recommend, especially if you’re a console sweat like me
Love it so far. Playing Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege and Destiny 2 with it, feels superior to the DualSense in every way. Note that this is not the “ultimate controller” since it lacks vibration (when playing FPS games on ranked you always turn this off anyways) and adaptive triggers, so for more immersive games like Metro Exodus or Returnal the DualSense is a more immersive choice.
For fighting games:
I have a Hori Octa and the Victrix Pro BFF is just superior in every level once you put the fightpad on (at least after you use the software to reconfigure the button layout). Playing Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 with it. Makes sense since the Victrix is so much more expensive. A few important details when comparing this to the Hori Octa:
– the Hori Octa face buttons are a bit more separated from each other, so this is one of the things that makes it feel different from the Victrix even if it’s just a bit.
– the positioning of the face buttons on the Hori Octa is more traditional, basically grab a PS5 controller and place two extra buttons right below square/X. The Victrix Pro BFG actually has the buttons dragged down diagonally (so pressing the triangle button on the Victrix actually feels like pressing square the square button on the DualSense).
– the Hori Octa has a flaw on it’s curved shape that makes the R1&R2 face buttons difficult to press at the same time (since both of these buttons are placed ok a curved side of the controller they aren’t parallel to each other like they should be, this means pressing both of them with your thumb will most likely cause one to be pressed before the other). This isn’t a problem with claw grip though, since you aren’t using your thumb in this position. Well the Victrix face buttons are perfectly lined up and parallel to each other as they should be.
