For long enough I have had a jump-starter and foot pump rattling around in my van, and both have served me well. However, the footpump finally fell apart recently and my jump starter (that I use more as a power bank) has started showing signs of packing in, so when I spotted this unit I figured I’d give it a go and I have to say that in general, I am glad I did.
Compared to my old jump starter, this is probably double the size but thats hardly surprising given that it is a inflater as well. It comes in a semi rigid case which houses the unit in one side and it has a zipped pocket for the supplied accessories. These accessories are the jump leads to connect to the battery, the valve for the tyres, a selection of valves for footballs and the like and the ubiquitous usb C lead.
In operation the device is pretty much simplicity itself once you have familiarised yourself with the intricacies of the jump start process….generally this is straight forward and you are guided through the process by coloured LEDs but if your battery is very low in voltage there is a bit of an alternative process. Its excellent to have a starter that will give you the option of starting much flatter battery than others (my old starter couldnt do this) and while nothing beats a good overnight charge on a decent charger, within limits, this starter will get you on the move again.
The inflator is pretty good – its been powerful enough to inflate the tyres of my van which go up to 60psi, its a bit noisy when the compressor is running but thats seems to be the way with all similar devices. Control of the pressure is via + and – buttons on the front of the unit where the charge level is shown. The charge level is indicated by blocks but I much prefer the percentage readouts that many such chargers have. I’ve yet to test the jump start function but the capacity is significantly larger than my old one so I dont expect there will be any problems – my old one could start my van 5 or 6 times on one charge so this one might be able to manage up to 10 times I would guess. The unit can also act as a power bank to charge other devices which is extremely handy.
In general I’m very pleased with this unit, it is relatively compact and the carry case is great to keep all teh bits and pieces together. My only criticism is the actual charging leads are a little flimsy and the wire is thinner gauge than I was expecting – it shouldnt be an issue for most engines but it is stated that this unit can be used on engines up to 8.0litres so I’d be a bit wary of potential melting if I was using it in such a motor.
It works super well!
Like the size of this, its very compact for it’s capabilities
Can inflate tires with no problem
Ilike to brings this with me out when im going fishing to inflate sleeping bet
Also its not extremely loud so thats a good bonus!
Very good value you get with this! Recommend
The first thing you’ll notice is that it packs a lot into a compact space, resembling a small portable CD/radio. It weighs about the same, too. There’s a flip-up handle for easy portability, and it comes in a padded, rigid case with a zip closure to keep the charger and cables secure.
The instructions are straightforward, with plugs that only fit one way, making it very easy to use. The two cables have hefty, color-coded clips for safety. While I haven’t needed to test the jump start function, it promises reliable performance. It should be able to start a car with a flat battery several times before needing a recharge. Its capacity to jumpstart engines up to 8 liters indicates its substantial power.
The internal battery holds a significant charge, useful for other purposes, and can deliver a strong current to charge your devices, serving as a power bank. It features two charging outlets and a USB-C connection for recharging the battery itself.
The compressor works well for maintaining your tyres at home, sparing you trips to the garage. It can inflate most tyres you’re likely to encounter. Though not the quietest, it is effective and invaluable if you’re stuck with a flat tyre.
Starts a Rover 2ltr diesel that has an emence power need on start up.. tyre pressure max out at 60psi and sound like it’s going to fail. Fast to recharge and can jump start multiple vehicles before needing to be recharged.
This equipment is a solid heavy duty amazing state of art product.
This can do various things:
Jump start my car battery and other vehicles
Used as a power bank for mobile phone, tablets, watches, laptops etc.
Air compressor for inflating the car tyres, air beds , balloons etc
Initially, this looked like a complicated product but after having read the clear instructions, it was easy to follow.
This should last a lifetime and its very well presented and safely stored in it’s own carry case.
Once fully charged (which takes a long time initially) the charged battery bank lasts a long time.
This is a good investment and only wish it was a little lighter to carry it around easily.
It’s a must to carry in the car permanently as we don’t know when this will be needed.
One should buy this for anytime use and it saves looking for a battery bank with multiple usage purposes.
This is an amazing piece of equipment that you really need to have in your car. It’s useful for situations like a flat battery or tyre, but you can also use it for general maintenance and avoid paying for compressed air at the garage.

There’s a flip up handle if you need to pick it up, but the whole thing also comes in a padded and rigid case that zips around to keep the charger and the cables secure.
The instructions are straightforward to follow and the plugs only go in one way so it’s very intuitive to use. You get a couple of hefty clips at the end of the two cables, and they’re colour coded for safety.
I’ve not tested the jump start function because I’ve not needed it thankfully, but I’ve no doubt that it will work well. For most users it’s going to be able to start a car with a flat battery several times before needing to be recharged. The fact that it’s able to jumpstart an engine up to 8 litres gives you an indication of how much juice it holds and what it can deliver.
The internal battery holds a lot of charge that can be used for other purposes, and is capable of delivering a strong current to charge up your devices should you want to use it as a power bank. You get two charging outlets and there’s also a USB C connection for charging up the battery itself.
The compressor works well and you can use it to keep your tyres in good condition by checking the pressure at home without having to go to the garage. It will inflate most tyres the average driver in the UK is ever likely to come across. It’s not the quietest one you’ll find but it’s effective and it will be worth its weight in gold if you’re stuck with a flat tyre.
The emergency work light and warning strobe is also a good addition, and really makes it well worth the investment for every car owner.
All in all it’s a great product and I think it’s worth your consideration.
This is a brilliant jump starter, it covers petrol vehicles up to 7l and diesel up to 6.5l which covers all domestic cars I think! It’s perfect to keep in your glove box or boot in case of emergencies. It comes nicely packed and the instructions are really easy to follow. I have marked it down slightly as it is a little pricey at 58.99, however, it’s far cheaper than getting roadside assistance out if you don’t have cover!
The ‘Portable Car Jump Starter 3000A 12V Battery Jumper Emergency for 8.0L Gas & Diesel Engines’ arrived in a branded box that also contained an Instruction manual, jumper leads, air line and adaptors and a USB A to USB C charging cable.
This unit is about 4 times the size of my existing boost charger, but it also has the air compressor inside too, so overall takes up less space than my existing boost starter and compressor.
As I only replaced the battery on my car last year after it finally stopped working, I am unable to test the boost function at this time.
The air compressor was as effective as my existing compressor which can now be re-allocated, though in comparison it is a lot noisier.
I recommend that the manual should be carried with the device at all times, as due to its likely infrequent use, familiarity with its functions may not be forthcoming.
Charging other devices was quite effective; I boosted a 30000mAh power bank from 80 to 100% in approximately 1 hour. One thing I did notice during the process was that the display panel near the power switch got warm.
The protective case is a nice addition, as several boost chargers and air compressors I have previously looked at do not, which meant I needed to find a suitable size case and make an additional purchase.
How this unit might be improved;
It would be nice if the buttons had white writing on or next to them so they are easier to read in lower light conditions.
It would be nice to know beforehand an estimated number of boost starts the user might expect for a fully charged unit for different size engines. My older unit would start my 2.6L engine at least 6 times
It would be good to have a slightly larger case with increased space for the cables etc. as once out, it is an art to get them back into the compartment.
It would be nice to have a downloadable pdf version of the manual for keeping on a Smartphone for easier reading when needed, or if the physical manual becomes damaged or lost.
