You wouldn’t trust it to be immersed in water but it’s a lot safer when leaving the connected plugs lying on the ground in the rain. The corner clips are a bit flimsy but unless you’re opening and closing the thing ten times a day they should be fine.

Initially bought this smaller waterproof box which is of excellent quality and easy to use, but because my connecting plug was so large, and at a right angle to the extention socket, i found that i required the larger size box, which was kindly supplied by Restmo. This one also is of the same excellent quality, and does the job perfectly. My connections are now fully enclosed within the box, with plenty of room for additional connections if required. The box is fully waterproof and sturdy. I would definately recommend a box from restmo, but would advise getting the larger size.
