Great product, meets all expectations, We used it on 2 long trips in torrential rain and 100% waterproof, the only negative is, it is not as aerodynamic than a roof box and when on the motorway can be loud, but would highly recommend this product.

Drove through torrential rain for over 2 hours and everything stayed dry, bag was a bit too big but the door hooks and straps kept everything in place. 5 great alternative to an expensive rooftop box

Just spotted I bought this five years ago, been using four or five times a year on camping trips and it’s still as good as new. Kept everything dry and offers huge amounts of space.

Bought last minute for a camping trip and it was great!! So much room and great quality fabric. We also bought ratchet straps just to be safe but we didn’t need them. It wasn’t used during rain so I’m unable to comment if it’s waterproof.

Would highly recommend this product and wished we came across it sooner.

Loved how easy it was to use. Our light bulky items were packed into this and stayed dry on our journey. The bag also easily folded back into its original package when we were done.
I’m delighted with my purchase and my brother has also bought one of these on my recommendation.

This was a last minute purchase when discovering we needed more space for a camping trip. It was really easy to load and fix onto the car without any roof rails, and on the return journey it rained really heavily for two hours yet all of our bags were bone dry. Best of all, unlike a roof box, you can fold up into a small carry pouch and easily store until the next trip.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was a bit sceptical as it’s so much cheaper than a proper roof rails and box but so so pleased we got it.

Just finished our first 3 hour journey, in the rain and wind, it didn’t budge a bit and everything inside is still dry. It was easy to install using the door hooks and the storage capacity is great. We filled it up as that what’s recommended in the instructions. Gave us, the kids and the dog a lot more room in the car.

It did drip slightly from the door hooks in to the car but really minimal and it was raining rather heavily so I’ll take that.

    Overall we were really impressed!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was apprehensive when deciding to purchase a bag instead of a roof box, but it was so much cheaper so I took the risk. Well worth it!! Fitted two large heavy suitcases plus towels and coats for family of 6, plus a large dog bed and kids outdoor toys inside easily! Strapped to the longitudinal roof rails of our estate car and sat directly on the roof. I purchased a 10 non slip mat to go under just to protect roof a bit. Stayed very very secure during a long motorway journey there and back, and even had heavy rain on way out. Everything inside stayed bone dry. Used the extra 6 additional straps also, so 12 holding it on it total. Didn’t notice any adverse effect to car control and minimal to fuel consumption. Folds away really compact for storage. Would highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have a Mini Countryman and on a recent trip to The Cotswolds we needed to transport 4 adults and a Golden Retriever leaving no room for our luggage. This 20 cubic feet roof bag was perfect! It took all of our bags with room to spare and despite some light rain on the journey from London everything arrived dry. Very easy to strap onto the roof – we used a rubber mat to stop any grit from scratching the roof – and wonderful to be able to remove it the moment we arrived. It folds up and stores away in a bag and I guarantee will get far more use than a traditional roof box which you would use once or twice and have to find somewhere to store for the rest of the year! Totally recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWell after struggling to find a set of roof bars for a 2017 Dacia Duster I had spotted this item.

Very sceptical about how secure these things are but this item was amazing. As we were going camping we used sports type holdalls for our clothes as they were softer and wouldn’t damage the roof going over bumps (didn’t want to risk suitcases). We fit two large holdalls, 4 coats, a dog bed (soft bed) and a few other bits.

Water proof to a point, maybe I didn’t pull the zip cover down fully down. The dog bed was at the front and was a little damp, not wet. It was however on a run for a 7 hour drive in continuous rain.

It all packs up in a neat little bad so storage isn’t a problem either unlike roof boxes.

I will say however, it doesn’t come with an anti slip mat to sit between the roof of your car and the bag. I paid another tenner for one.

Amazing roof bag though, very impressed.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWas sceptical about this when I ordered it but was very impressed with its size and quality. Fitted to an S Max with out roof bars, managed to fit in a small water board 5 big bags of clothes and a beach chair, all secured with the straps supplied.
Was a bit worried it might move or come of but it was absolutely fine on a nice long drive from Hertfordshire to Cornwall with no issues. We had a little bit of rain and everything inside stayed dry although like others have said the straps do get wet but we didn’t have enough rain for it to start dripping in the car but the strap was wet.

Overall this saved us a lot of money on getting roof bars and box and to me seems like can fit a lot more it. Would highly recommend this.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWhat can I say that hasn’t already been said!

Having used this product on my barless car, I cannot recommend it enough for the following:

    – Ease of use: it really is as simple as place it on the roof and strap it up (either to your bars or through the car doors). Simple tightening, but very secure.

    – Super sturdy: This carrier simply won’t let you down. It is thick and tightens to fit the load so no room for items to slip around.

    – Weatherproof: whilst I was unable to test the waterproof functionality, the layer inside is thick. I can see the straps absorbing rain and potentially causing problems inside the vehicle however I would be VERY surprised should the main carrier let water through.

    – Super portable: the carrier folds back up into its bag with ease. Cannot ask for better storage!

If you’re due to go on holiday or need to carry a little more than your boot can handle, this product is second to none. Very very impressed and wish I’d have invested sooner!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis was an excellent purchase. It worked perfectly, holding a good load of items on the roof which hugely increased the volume we could take on holiday.
The bag is a little fiddly to get in place (compared with say a roof box), as you need to keep walking around to tighten the straps until you are nice and secure.
But this minor inconvenience is easily offset by the fact it’s much quicker than a roofbox to remove from the roof (for local driving once your at your destination), It packs back into a tiny box, for superb storage in cupboard.
It looks very watertight (it didnt rain when i used it).
The bag never moved on the roof (you do need to buy the <10 mat) and was nice and snug to the roof, so there was no wind noise and resistance was minimal.
There is a minor vibration noise sometimes on the straps. You just need to tighten enough.
I have already recommended this and had a very happy friend.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWe bought this as our roof box was too small and we don’t have anywhere to store a big box.
I was a bit worried about how secure this would be, and that it might slide around but there are plenty of straps and it didn’t move at all.
We have roof bars and it sat really well on the roof and the straps were perfectly placed to strap it to the bars.
We also bought a non slip roof mat to protect the roof, but I don’t think the bag would have moved anyway.
There is so much room in this (we bought the 20 cubic feet), we went camping and managed to fit a five man tent, 3 sleeping bags, two air beds, a barbecue, a fire pit, pillows and other bits and pieces and still had space left.
We didn’t have any heavy rain so I can’t comment on how waterproof it is, but you could always lay a bin bag or something over top of the contents if you’re worried.
It packs down into a really small bag so it’s perfect if like us you have nowhere to store a roof box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spacious and secure

I have to admit I was very sceptical about this but as we couldn’t afford a box and roof bars we took a chance and I’m pleased to say it worked! The bag holds a lot and is sturdy and water proof and amazing the 2 straps through the car held it in place even going 70 down the motorway! It’s not elegant, basically the car is wearing a backpack! And it is noisy (it sounded like a swarm of bees was following us as soon as we got over 30mph but it stayed put on a 200 mile journey through high winds so I’d say it does what it claims to just fine!

Golden Review Award: 89 From Our UsersWe have been looking at roofboxes for awhile for our short UK holiday away,
After searching through endless different ones on amazon, we chose this one due to the size.
We had been looking at roofboxes but your then stuck with a large box to store when not in use.

Going away was going to prove difficult when travelling with 2 large dogs and a Newborn, plus all the baby essentials you need including pram etc

The dogs take up the boot and there is not enough space internally for everything we need when going away, even if we do have a large estate car, Baby’s do have a lot of stuff!

Our car is an estate car with Rails, to be honest i am not sure how it would work with a car that only has roof bars,
The buckles to tie it down run parallel with the roof rails so make fitting easy.

We did buy a cargo/padding grip mat to put on the roof first before putting the bag on top.

A lot of reviews of other bags have warned about rips when cargo moves within the bag.
We put an old blanket down within the bags floor to help form the shape before packing it.

In ours we managed to fit Baby Pram (occaro), Large Gym holdall, Baby Trunket and 3 Large Aldi bags filled + 1 bag of shoes/wellies

We could have shoved more items in there to pack it fuller but we didn’t have the need to.

Note, because you are putting items on the roof, you have to take into consideration the weight,
When we put the pram in the middle the roof (15kg), you heard the metal slightly flex, as soon as i did i moved it further back and closer to a rail and the flex reverted, there is no damage. The Pram was ok further back on the roof.

I believe this to be more an issue with the way the pram lies when flat as most off the pressure is on 2 small points of the pram. Note the flexing is similar to when you push on a car bonnet in the center, it flexes and then reverts,

Travelling we had no issues, i did buy spare straps just in case after reading other reviews of other bags breaking, but we did not need them

The bag held strong throughout the journey (including motorways and winding county roads) and was in the same position once we arrived at our destination, cargo had not moved either.

100% would buy again and 100% would recommend.

I will be using this to store the Pram on the roof when we go out with the dogs

Now the best bit, when we got home and unpacked, we took the roofbag down, folded it up and its now stored easily in the car for when we next need it, you can’t do that with a roofbox.

    Very happy, fantastic produc
