I have had many samsung phones this is by far the best yet.
Only gripe my first order got lost by the time another one delivered 5 days had past but all turned out well in the end.
Pen is hidden away is a nice touch, this phone is squarer than most but it’s powerful and has a good battery (mine is set to 80% max charge and easily lasts all day).
Bought this for my elde sister but not surprised she doesn’t know how to to use it properly? She keeps phoning me and asking for things so I say just google it. How do I do that? End of conversatio
I was a bit apprehensive of spending so much money on a mobile but now that it is in my possession all qualms have gone. I’m delighted. Although in advanced years I was able to set up and get down to business in no time. I’m glad I chose the plus over the ultra as the sharp corners of the Ultra look a bit vulnerable for my taste. ( also a good bit cheaper)
.
Finally took the massive leap from apple to Android and I’m not regretting it at all. It’s been nearly 2 weeks now and I am in love with my s24 ultra.
The camera is outstanding. I love the S pen, and the gestures replacing the buttons made it all the more appealing coming over from apple.
There is so much I have yet to learn but I haven’t been disappointed at all yet.
The only apple feature that I am missing is the alarm “stop playing” feature that apple have.
If samsung could incorporate that it would be great.
Expensive yes but it’s a quality bit of kit.
This is a good upgrade to my S10 with much improved battery life, responsiveness, 5G, better camera and of course updated software. So far I am very pleased with the phone, especially at the heavily discounted price!
I personally worked in a mobile shop. compared to any other it got every flagship specs such as 2k display, flagship processor, fast charging like s24 ultra, etc. everything is good expect u need to buy charger separately because if u use ur previous it may charges slowly compare to it is own charger so i recommend to buy 45w PD charger for this one
This is honestly the best phone on the market because it has soo many things that cancels out all the other phones that it does not even feel like a phone no more, its like a Portable Computer that does everything that you could ever want a phone to do, From the Supreme Camera to the Outstanding Customizations, Battery Life, Cool and Insane Feature to the Quality of the product itself feels like its not from this planet.
Love the phone, battery life excellent as it lasts a good two days, screen is good, it feels like a good robust phone. Sound is great, updates regularly. One slight annoyance is that if the phone is on silent and a call comes in that you miss, it turns the sound on automatically which is irritating for me personally. There may be a way to stop this that I haven’t investigated yet though. Overall v happy though.
(UPDATE AT BOTTOM) Okay so this is my 2nd time with the s24 ultra… the first one that I pre ordered from samsung had to be returned as the battery only lasted half a day (NO that’s not normal for the first few weeks) this must have been a battery fault. so i went to the phone shops to look at some phones (mainly the iphone 15 pro max) but i wanted something diffrent and couldnt justify paying the same price as the s24 ultra for an iphone that looks the same as my iphone 12 pro max and is older than the s24 ultra , so I thought I had to try this phone 1 more time, after all it’s such a beautiful looking phone and I couldn’t get it out of my mind , so when I saw they had a 100 off and free buds 2 pro as a promotion I jumped on it , and this time round I must say… I’m happy now. the battery is fine & the phone runs smoothly and it is fast and it’s just all round a beauty of a device!. So if your looking for a new phone and can’t be bothered with the boring look of an iPhone 15 or you just want a phone you can do so much more with customizable wise then I would 100% buy this phone , it’s not cheap but a phone is something you use every single day… just treat yourself lol !!!!
(UPDATE!) 2 months in and dust from the case has damaged the titanium shell scratched all down the sides really bad because of a bit of dust , titanium frame is supposed to be more scratch resistant but I can assure you the frame quality is awful, so just a heads up , it’s not even safe in a case , never had this issue with any other phones even 100 ones!
I bought the S24 Ultra on the day of release (or very close). I used to own a very good mid-range phone, so this is a big jump for me. I would class myself as a techie user, so not a gamer or average user.
Firstly unlike others, I did get the upgrade to 512GB without issue. I also got the 100 off directly at purchase. I also got the free 1 year of Disney and I have confirmation that I will get the watch within 45 days. However, I had to do a fair bit of research to find out how to claim the Disney and Watch. That was hard going.
The phone itself is well amazing. The processing power is just a massive jump from my Motorola G100. I sheer quantity of toys is mind-blowing.
The basics:
The phone call quality and reliability is great, both on Bluetooth in the car and on the phone itself. I use data for maps, radio etc. all the time and this works very well (not flawlessly though).
There are some fantastic automated features and smart home connectivity which I have looked at and must try.
Wifi is working very well and the full phone transfer from my old phone was reasonably easy but the passwords did not come across. I spent 2 days setting everything back up. I did not realise how much I had on my phone.
I use dual sim for Work and Personal use. My only grip is that you cannot totally separate these from each other. So you have to be careful when making calls and texting. I am getting to grips with it though.
There is so much functionality I could probably write a book and still not cover everything.
I am now learning what you can do with the S Pen, which again seems to be lots. I do like being able to simply write a quick note when you need to without having to search for a paper and pen.
Battery life is amazing. I find the phone can comfortably last 2 or more days, but I am not a gamer and I do not use my phone to watch movies, nor do I sit watching tictoc or youtube on my phone.
I use my phone for smart home management, email, photography, listening to music (MP3’s and radio), navigation using google maps and Android Auto, etc.
The bottom line is if you can afford this phone, then I think you would be hard-pushed to be disappointed.
So would I recommend this phone, well simply yes. There are no issues for me other than the jumping through hoops to get the freebies, but that is not a reflection on the phone.
Oh and I would recommend a case, just be careful of the Magsafe ones, I got one and it affected the S Pen functionality. I had to return it and get a non magsaf case.
I ordered the S24+ 512GB/12GB and it flies. Lovely feel to the phone with excellent profile around the edges and where the screen meets the edges. The phone is very responsive and a perfect match with Android. The camera quality as well is excellent.
As good set of features for this phone and Samsung have said it will get 7 years of security update support. I have the Amber Yellow but the yellow is very faint and better than I thought.
Managed to get the double storage 256GB -> 512GB plus 100 voucher off for 899. Also successfully claimed Galaxy Watch 6 as a pre-order special which should arrive in the next month and free years subscription to Disney+ saving almost 100 for the year. The free screen protector and case wasn’t very clear on how to claim but realised what I needed to do and ordered it separately and Amazon gave me a credit to my account plus there was a voucher for money off so end up paying 6 in the end rather 20.
All in compared to the full price and including Disney+ I have saved almost 600 🙂
i have seen some people complain about the pre-order offers but that’s because they needed to read the instructions on what to do!
