It was cheaper than alternatives and I knew it was a 2U shelf I wanted, but it seems very few people make 2U shelves at the shorter depth for a comms cab – especially at the price I wanted to pay! I’m pleased to say with some careful angle grinding/cutting I was able to get the perfect fitment and am very pleased. I’ve lost some rigidity by cutting off the rear folded edge, however for what I’m putting on it (router and small switch) it will be perfect.
A very sturdy rack shelf capable of accepting equipment up to 40cm deep. Perfect to house non-standard equipment such as SME modems/routers etc. Good value compared to other rack shelves I’d compared to & deeper than most.
The shelf is of good quality construction, made of a fairly thick and heavy metal. I purchased a couple of them and am using them in an AV setup with one carrying the AV Receiver.
Perfect, I couldn’t find the right mount for my new server in the office and bought one of these instead, its great, fits perfectly, comes with everything you need and makes the server cage look tidy!
Does what it says on the tin. Only criticism would be the cage nuts fell out of the racking holes a couple of times but that’s probably down to our cabinet.
