I travel all over the world and this is the best adapter I have found. The pins retract for traveling but at your destination it is ready for whatever country you are in. My only criticism of it is, if you have a lot of USB cables in at the same time, the socket has a habit of starting to pull out of the wall. A small irritation.

One word of caution specific to USA – the sockets in the USA are always a bit rickety, and because it is a bit heavier, this plug adapter falls out of the socket quite easily, meaning 2 things;
1 – you need to sort-of support it when plugging in to an upright wall socket – whereas a couple of cheaper USB adapters I bought are much lighter and don’t have that problem
2 – there is no easy way of knowing if this plug is getting power if you are using as a charger, without checking with the charged device – and sometimes it starts charging, then the rickety US sockets budge, and the charging stops – a nice light on it when getting current might be nice, (as the 2 much cheaper adapters we bought as back up, have).
Overall I DO recommend this device – it is well made, and super-versatile – I was really impressed with it. It is light, and does not have any protruding “prongs” when you are packing your luggage – I wish we’d had this last year when we did a tour right across Europe – because it is so versatile. Hope this is useful, and I do recommend this.
Obviously I can’t speak for the longevity of this but I can say that the 4th usb c port at the side has come in very useful just in the UK alone.
There is a big debate about the placement of usb ports period and the fact that you have 2 options here (side and bottom) is great.
Additionally I was able to leave my laptop charger behind and just rely on this.
I can see this being very useful for hand luggage so you can charge in UK/Singapore airport with usb c (still not standard in power sockets from what I can see) and the EU and the US. I’m not sure I will ever actually use the plug part itself but the usb c sockets are very useful
Had this for 8 months used it in Canada, Spain and UK. It is my go to charger used every day. Chunky but light. Love that it has usb A and C Does fast charge on usb C. Ready to swap between plug types and prongs withdraw for travelling.
I only travel in the UK and within Europe although this plug also allows the selection of mains prongs for the US and Australia. The correct mains prongs are easily selected by means of sliders though you need to check that the chosen slider is firmly in place. I can input one device with UK and European plugs ( also American and Australian presumably) into the device. I chose this device because it allows me to plug in three USB C and two USB A devices at the same time. I can charge these overnight as well as allowing me to use a device with a three pronged UK plug in Europe. I thought the price was fair. Its size makes it portable as all the prongs can be stored inside the device when travelling.
Pleased with this! Seems to cover all travel needs and can have several things plugged in at once. Only really need to take one of these with you and you’re good. Have also used it at home when I haven’t been able to find my plug for my charger. Worth the spend!
